"She looked in the window, and then peeped through the keyhole; seeing nobody in the house, she lifted the latch"
"You still dizzy?" The doctor asked me for the second time.
"No I'm okay, can I see my Dad?" I ask
"Sure, anyways you just hit your head so you should be fine. Take Tylenol if you have any headaches"
"Okay thanks doc" I say as I get my things
I head to Dad's room and see him on the chair.
"Well, your liver enzymes are elevated and we found traces of a neurotoxin in your blood; PHTX3 which is usually associated with a spider bite, lucky you didn't get more of it or it would of paralyzed your lungs. Well, if you feel lightheaded or feverish come on back" the doctor says to Dad.
"All right" the doctor leaves and Dad asks me "hey you okay?"
"Yea the doctor said I just hit my head, might have a headache but I'll be fine. I heard what the doctor said why would that woman want to put that stuff in Aunt Marie?" I asked
"I don't know"
We go outside and see Hank "They find anything wrong with y'all?"
"Just a few toxins in my blood and Lizzie just has a headache"
"Just a few toxins? Like the kind that can kill you?"
"Well apparently not" Dad says
"You gonna be okay?"
"How do I look?" Dad asks
"Like a cop who's been working all night" I say
"Aw, thats funny, Lizzie that's how you look." Dad says as Hank laughs
I scoff and say "Well, then you look good" and Dad laughs.
"Aunt Marie" Dad says as he walks to her
"She's not stable, we can't allow anyone in the I.C.U yet" The nurse says
"Well, when can we talk to her?" Dad asks
"After we're done running the tests, we can't risk letting her slip back into a coma, I'll call you the minute we know something" The nurse says before closing the door.
"How is she?" Captain Renard says
"Well, she came out of the coma but there still running tests." Dad says
"So when did the attack happen?"
"About ten minutes after we got here, she came up behind me, she had a syringe in her hand"
"How do you know she wasn't a nurse?"
"Well she stuck a needle in Dad and ran away" I say still looking at Aunt Marie.
"You were with him?" Captain Renard asks me
"Yea" I say and I notice how he made a face, but it quickly came back to that brooding look he has.
"Well you think you can identify her?"
"Yeah, she should be on the security tapes" Dad says
"I grabbed them when I got here, there on their way to the precinct" Hank says
"Let's take a look at those tapes if we got another killer on our hands, we better get on this" Captain Renard says before leaving

After that Dad dropped me off at the house and took off to the precinct.
"Hey Mom" I say walking in the house
"Hey sweetie, your Dad told me what you did today"
"Huh?" I questioned
"You saved a little girl, oh my daughter's a hero" she said pulling me into a bone crushing hug.
"Oh okay mom, I can't breathe!"
"Oh sorry, whew you stink go take a bath" she said while laughing
"Okay, okay"
I took a bath and kissed Mom goodnight and went to bed.
When I woke up I got dressed and ready for school. Dad had already left he had a case about some girl's boyfriend getting kidnapped or something.
"Bye Mom! Love you!" I yelled
"Oh wait! Today I'm going to pick you up so we can get dinner together. How do you feel about Chinese from Lotus and Voodoo doughnuts?"
"Ah yes!! You know that's my favorite" I say
She laughed and "okay, go to school or your gonna be late"
"Yes, Mom"
I walked to school and saw that boy from a few days back.
He started running when he saw me "Hey! Wait!" I yelled eventually I caught up to him.
"Please don't kill me!"
What? Kill him?
"I'm not gonna kill you, are you running cause I'm a Grimm?" I said whispering the last part
He nodded "Look I'm new to this Grimm thing but I'm not gonna hurt you and I'm not gonna kill anyone"
"O-okay" the boy said
"What's your name?" I asked him
"Junior, well my names Bud but I'm named after my father so I like to be called Junior since I am a Junior-"
"You ramble a lot, right?" I ask and he nods so I chuckle
"It's okay I do that sometimes too, what's your last name?" I ask
"Uh Wurstner"
"Well I'm Lizzie Burkhardt"
He smiled "nice to meet you Lizzie so your not going to kill me?"
"No"
"Okay, wow a Grimm, my parents told me all about you" he said looking at me.
"Hm, well I'm new to this, so you think you could help me out?"
"Sure!"
The school day went by fast and I learned more about Junior or Bud. Just like I thought he was scared of me till he found out I wasn't going to hurt him or kill him.
"Hey how was your day?" Mom asked when I got inside the car
I looked at Junior and waved "good I made a new friend"
"Ah a boy" I looked at her and she was smirking
"Noo! Not like that, he's just a friend nothing more" I said
"That's what they all say"
"Can we just go get dinner? I'm starving" I say not wanting Mom to tease me about a FRIEND.

When we got home we see Dad in the dining room on the computer.
"We picked up Chinese from Lotus and got Voodoo doughnuts!" I said
"Ah, you guys are the best!" Dad said already reaching for the doughnuts
"Don't be such a cop, the doughnuts are for dessert" Mom says and I laugh
"Are we buying a totem pole?" Mom says as she's looking at the computer.
"No, I saw one outside a house of a case I'm working on" Dad says
"Some kind of clan of the bear" Mom says then continuing what it says on the computer "The bear is a messenger to the supernatural world his position of dominance in the totemic hierarchy is the result of common ancestral belief in the sanctity of their territory"
"Is the totem pole some kind of clue?" Mom asks
"I don't know, but you make it sound kind of sexy" Dad says.
Gross.
I gagged, they stopped and laughed.
"I stopped by the hospital to see Marie today it scared me, seeing all the police in the hospital, I don't know why anybody would want to hurt her she can't even die in peace. How are you doing with all that?" Mom asks Dad
"Well, I'm not doing too good about it, but there's nothing I can do so I'm putting on my happy face" Dad says
"I'm not buying that grin. Put it back"
They start to kiss and I slip away to my room.
I guess they finally found out I left since two minutes later I heard "LIZZIE, get your ass down here!"
I go downstairs and we eat "So Lizzie made a new friend today" Mom says
"Oh for god's sake, Dad tell Mom to quit making fun of me" I say
Dad laughs "What happened now?"
"Her new friend is a boy" Mom says
"No, no no boys!" Dad says
"He's a friend! Nothing more" I say
We finish and I tell Dad about the boy being wesen. I guess he calms down about it knowing I have someone to talk to about what's going on, that's my age.
I go to my room and start doing my homework

I'm in the trailer and the door opens showing Aunt Marie.
"Aunt Marie, what are you doing here?" Dad asks
"Remember what I told you" She says to Dad in a monotone voice
"Okay"
She looks at the drawing Dad made and says "There'll be more red" and she goes to the closet "when the sun goes down" and grabs a knife and stabs Dad with it.
When I wake up I realized it was just a dream and it's morning. I must of fell asleep.
I go to Dad's room and see he woke up.
"My aunt just stabbed me in the hand" Dad says and I hide behind the door so they don't see me.
"What did you do to her?" Mom asks
"Nothing" Dad says
"So just a dream, I don't even know where to begin interpreting that one. I was trying to let you sleep.....lot good that did, I should check on Lizzie though she said she was having nightmares too" Mom says
"About what?" Dad asks
"Monsters and here she even drew some" She says probably handing the book to him.
"Wow"
"Yea I know, maybe no scary movies for a while" she laughs
I go back to my room and pretend I'm asleep, she comes in here, gives me a kiss and leaves for work.
I get dressed and go to the trailer and see Dad already in here messing with the weapons.
"Hello Clarice" I say in a creepy voice and he gets scared.
I start laughing "Ah it's so easy to scare you!"
"Did you just reference silence of the lambs?"
"Aw, you remembered!" I say as I place a hand over my heart.
"Your a dork" he says while laughing
"Yea well where do you think I get that from, cause it ain't from Mom" I say.
"Oh ha ha very funny" he rolls his eyes and we leave to Monroe's house.

We knock on the door, nothing and we knock for a second time, he opens the door.
"We need to talk" Dad says
"Not at 6:30 in the morning we don't" Monroe says as he closes the door.
"This is important" Dad says as he barges in
"Oh well, come on in then have a cup of coffee. Bagel? Cream cheese?" He says sarcastically
"Oh no we just ate" I say messing with him
"I was being sarcastic" Monroe says looking at me
"I know" I say smirking at him
"First, I want to thank you, for helping me out with the kidnapping" Dad says ignoring our little bickering
"A gift basket would've been nice, how long is gonna take? I'm right in the middle of my pilates man." Monroe says
"You ever seen one of these?" Dad says showing Monroe a weapon?
"Not up close, thank god"
"What is that?" I asked
"I think Jagerbars use these for disemboweling and now I'm hungry" he says walking to the kitchen.
"Sure you don't want a bagel? I'm gonna french press some coffee, too Guatemalan highlands craft roasted very robust" Monroe says
"What do you know about Jagerbars?" Dad asks
"What am I your personal Grimmopedia?"
"No your a Blutbad and I'm assuming that Blutbaden know about Jagerbaden?"
"It's just Jagerbars" Monroe says
"Well you see them like we see them right?" I say
"Yes"
"Hey I'm just trying to figure out what I'm up against here" Dad says
"Okay, right there don't even compare the two we don't rummage like they do. How do you run across Jargerbar anyway?"
"Look I'm working on a case, I saw a kid turn into one" Dad says
"Is that where you got the claw?"
"No my aunt had it"
"Oh right, her again Aunt Marie, right? Yeah, I couldn't sleep the last two nights thinking ol'Aunt Marie was gonna cut off my head and stick it on a land post, that's how my great grandmother ended up, you know."
"Well she's still in the hospital, so calm down" I say
"Oh sorry. Um they use those claws in the Roh-Hatz"
"Roh-Hatz?" Dad questions
"It's like a bar mitzvah for bears, you know, a Jagerbar Mitzvah it's very physical thing lot of pounding of chest and like wailing. Who wails anymore? It's supposed to connect us to the inner animal in us I guess" Monroe says
"And believe me I do mean all of us"
"So what do they do?" I ask
"It's all about the chase"
"What chase?" Dad asks
"The Roh-Hatz you know? Caveman mumbo jumbo "let gets some beers and barbecue and be stupid" I mean, I like to camp as much as the next guy, you know maybe once a year. Want plain or onion?" Monroe says
"I got to go" Dad says
"Can I stay here? I have my phone" I ask
"Sure" Dad says
"Oh well, thanks for stopping by" he says to dad "you, what do you want?"
"Rude, but I want to ask you about a boy I met yesterday"
"Whoa aren't you supposed to talk to this with your dad or mom?"
"The boy's wesen like you I want to know what kind is he" I said
"Oh, well what'd he look like?" Monroe asks
"Hmm he kinda looks like a beaver"
"Eisbiber, that's the wesen he is, what he do when he saw you?" Monroe said smiling
"At first he ran and when he saw me a couple days later he ran like hell"
"Well what you do?"
"I chased him" I say bluntly
"Well why the hell would you do that?!"
"I wanted answers! And it's okay now I mean we're friends now"
"You scared the crap out of him didn't you?" Monroe said smirking.
"Duh"
"An Eisbiber friends with a grimm huh that's unusual and weird."
"First of all why, second of all isn't weird a Blutbad is friends with a Grimm or any other wesen?" I question
"Because Eisbibers are known for there fear and me and your Dad aren't friends"
"He trusts you, I mean he left me with you" I point out and he nods
After that he starts working on his precious clocks and gets a phone call.
"Lizzie get the phone"
"Yes sir" I say to piss him off, turns out he doesn't like to be called 'sir' he says it makes him feel old, I walk over to the phone and answer.
"Hello?"
"Lizzie?" Dad asks
"Uh yea?" I say
"Give Monroe the phone" he says and I give Monroe the phone.
"It's for you" He drops his tools and gives me a look. I can't describe it whether its an 'I want to kill you look' or 'I'mma kick drop your ass' or a 'I'm going to drop you off at the nearest homeless shelter'
"Monroe, now what?"
He tells me to get in the car and we go to the hospital.
"A grimm? Are you out of your mind?! I can't do this!" He whispers/ yells at Dad.
"Look I just need your help until I can figure something else out" Dad says
"I'm not a cop" Monroe says as he's walking away.
"Yeah, you- you're the only one who knows what I'm dealing with."
"No, I am the only one who is stupid enough to talk to you" Monroe says
"I owe you one" Dad says
"Dude you already owe me four" Monroe says
"Four?" Dad questions
"Yeah the little girl who was kidnapped, the Jagerbar at 6:30 in the morning in the middle of my pilates, watching your daughter, and now this!"
"Whoa that's three then, because watching me doesn't count if you didn't actually watch me! You just played with your clocks SIR!" I say
He glares at me "I didn't play with them I FIXED them and you are testing my last nerves with you calling me 'sir'!"
"Lizzie enough and okay I owe you three" Dad says
"What the hell makes you think I am gonna stay here and protect her?"
"Lizzie don't" Dad warns as I make myself cry.
They both look at me "Someone help, my grandpa left me here" I say as I stop to sniffle "He said we were gonna see my Aunt Marie but he ditched me he goes by the name of Monroe-"
"Okay! Okay, okay I'll help!" He says to my dad and points at me "You are one evil little girl" and I smirk as I wipe the tears off my face.
"It's called blackmail you should try it" I say
"I was gonna say because I trust you but that works too Lizzie. Look I'll be back as soon as I can" Dad says and leaves.
"If your scared she'll kill you don't be" I say
He ignores me "Really the silent treatment, what are we five?" I asked
"One of us is" he mumbles
"What?" I say
"Nothing!" I roll my eyes and sit in the seat next to Aunt Marie. After a while Monroe marched in Aunt Marie's room.
"You people murdered my grandfather, the Grimms burned down his farm, cut off his head, feet and his hands. Okay, he may have deserved for some of the things he did but if my parents could see me now standing this close to you not avenging the family. Last thanksgiving I'd be invited to, I can tell you that." He says as Aunt Marie opens her eyes
"Take your best shot Blutbad" he says as his eyes turn red.
"Monroe, outside" I say as we see a man walk away from the door.
He leaves and I stay with Marie.
"You're seeing them to?" she says looking at me
"Yes"
"Your too young for this"
"Well what is the right time to be a grimm?" I ask
"Adulthood"
"Oh, well I'm still going to help Dad" I say
She smiles "you were always so stubborn just like your father"
"I've been reading the books, I didn't know that there so many wesen out there." I say grabbing her hand
"They are, I told your dad you have to hunt down the bad ones, you need to be careful your still a kid, they won't care that your still a kid, they'll still try to kill you. Do you have the knife I gave you?" She asks tightening her grip on my hand
"Yes" I say as I pull it out "I always keep it with me"
"Good"
After a while a man comes in here and and him and Aunt Marie start fighting.
I dragged him off her and throw him into a wall, he comes after me and tries to stab me. I grab the knife he has and stab him in the stomach and he falls.
I see Dad grab Marie and go to them "Remember who you are, trust your instincts and nothing else, you did good Elizabeth" she says as she takes her last breath.
We go home and Dad takes the trailer somewhere. I stay in my room not only did Aunt Marie die, I killed someone. I start to cry and I feel someone holding me. I see that it's Mom and I start to cry more.
"Hey, hey it's okay. Your gonna be alright"

When Dad comes back we go to her tombstone and say goodbye.
"Rest well" Dad says as we drop the flowers.
"Are you alright?" Mom asks
"No, but I will be" Dad says

Junior isn't a character on Grimm but I made him up because I wanted her to have her own Monroe. He's going to be helping her just like Monroe helps Nick in the show.
