Chapter 8 - Camp out weekend
It was Friday after school, tents and everything we needed for the weekend were packed in our cars. Crystal and Brad were going together and I was going with Tori in her car, whilst Logan was going in his. I was just talking to the Sanchez's, well Blake and Trent,
"Why aren't you happy about me going camping?" I asked,
"Where did you get that idea?" Blake said,
"You've been telling me ever since I told you I was going on a camp out, not to go..."
"Just be careful Angel"
"I will...jeez guys" Blake gave me a hug,
"If you get bored, ring me and I'll pick you up," he whispered, I smiled, once I pulled away, Trent grabbed me round my waist,
"Enjoy yourself" he told me.
"I will," I ran over to the others,
"Ready?" Crystal asked,
"Of course"
"You looked cosy with those two" Tori said as we pulled off,
"Just friends" I said. She gave me a smile which said 'just friends my arse'.
It didn't take us long to pull up at some random forest. They told me it was private land and that they were allowed to camp here. Who knows why they told me, like I knew any different anyway!
Setting up the tents was, well, a challenge for me. I didn't know a thing about it. I'd never been camping before. We stayed in hotels, not tents. We had 2 tents, the boys were sharing and Tori, Crystal and I were. We sorted out all our sleeping bags and blow up mattresses and all the stuff I'm guessing you need for camping too, and dumped our bags in the tents.
"Want to play hide and go scare?" Brad asked grinning, his eyes bright. He honestly acts like a kid most of the time.
"It's not even dark yet" Crystal complained,
"Oh yeah, best to play it later on in the evening, its easier to scare then" Brad said winking at me,
"Can't wait" I said sarcastically, he didn't seem to notice though. Tori did and she laughed.

We ended up practically mucking about, collecting wood, joking around, we had a game of charades. Which I can tell you ended with all of us dying of lack of oxygen due to laughing too much. It had definitely got darker though; Logan had started the fire with Tori, whilst I went to grab everyone another jumper. Since it was flaming cold out here now, then again, it is October! Hopefully the fire would warm the place up.
It was 7pm when we made teams to head off and try and scare each other. We were to meet back at 10pm; we'd all put alarms in our phones and grabbed torches. Oh, the teams were me and Logan, Brad wanted to be on his own, as he said he had his own plan of action, so Tori and Crystal went together. Logan's been totally fine these past days, of course the usual stare off with the Sanchez's, which was becoming a habit each day, whoever I was with.
"Are you scared Tam?" He whispered as I took his hand,
"No" I said, obviously my voice didn't agree as it came out all shaky, Logan laughed, "I'm not scared" I said again, more firmly this time,
"I won't let anyone scare you," he told me as we walked into the depths of the forest.
If you've ever been walking through a forest in the middle of October, in the pitch black with only a torch, you'd know how I'm feeling, pretty scared, even if I say otherwise. Noises were all around; the rustling, cracking, snapping, noises that didn't sound human or animal and I swear we were being followed. I heard a scream suddenly, I literally nearly jumped out of my skin, I squeezed Logan's hand. The scream was then followed by a loud laugh, then footsteps. My heart slowed, Brad must have scared Tori and Crystal then scampered.
"Brad" Logan said,
"Thought so", we walked on, dodging branches and holes,
"Turn your torch off" Logan whispered, as we stopped "Don't move", my heart began to pound again.

Logan's POV
Taking to each other through mind link.
'There is a Hunter about 20 yards from you, I think he's seen you. He's on the move. I'll take Angel and you deal with him okay. Be careful'
'What are you going to tell her?'
'I'll think of something Log', be safe,
'Take care of her and lead her back to the camp at 10pm'
'I will do. Now go'

Tammara's POV
Logan suddenly let go of my hand,
"Logan..." I whispered, "Logan"
"Angel"
"Trent"
"Sssh, come on", he took my hand and guided me off somewhere, I went to turn the torch back on, "Don't turn the torch on", so I didn't. When we stopped, we were by a river, the moon shone bright making me able to make out a bit more, I looked at Trent,
"What are you doing here? What have you done to Logan?"
"He had a bit of business to attend to okay"
"Since when are you and him friends?" I said,
"We're not" he said quickly, too quickly for my liking, but I didn't press him. I was just happy to think that they were getting on.
"So what are you going to do with me then?" I said,
"Do you trust me?" he asked. Do I? 'You do' he said in my mind. I smiled,
"Yes"
"Close your eyes" he whispered, I looked at him. 'Trust me'. Here goes. I was lifted up into his arms, I could feel breeze, he was definitely walking somewhere, but I didn't open my eyes. I heard branches snapping and rustling of trees, so I guessed we were still in the forest. We then suddenly we stopped,
"Open your eyes Angel" I did. We were in, or under this tree, but the branches were all bent over and the leaves created this type of shelter. It felt so safe, but scary at the same time, due to the fact it was pitch black and I had to shine the torch around to actually see,
"Where are we?" I asked,
"You're playing hide and go scare right?"
"Yeah"
"Well we are going to scare the living day lights out your friends and preferably Brad"
"I see, well, let's do this". I turned off the light and took his hand, after about 5 minutes we heard footsteps and saw a light of a torch. It kind of went so quick, I didn't realise we scared Brad until he screamed bloody murder and dashed off. I fell back laughing my head off. Trent sat down; I sat next to him,
"He's such a wimp" I laughed, "What did you even do?"
"Shout boo"
"Yeah sure..."
"I did, I have a very scary boo voice when I need too". We stayed for a little longer, until Trent said, "Best get you back to camp"
"Is Logan going to be there?" I asked,
"Yeah, he'll be there soon"

It was 10.30pm and we were sitting around the camp fire roasting marshmallows and eating chocolate and sweets. Logan wasn't back yet, the others had kept asking me where he was and I didn't know, so I couldn't really tell them much apart from he'll be back and he had to do something.
"Do you think he's okay?" Tori asked,
"He is fine, so sorry guys, I had to go and deal with something" Logan answered as he sat next to me,
"Oh that's okay, we were just worried about you that's all" Crystal said,
"I was fine, sorry Tam, I hope...you know, looked...um, yeah"
"Yes, you don't have to worry. I know" I said, knowing that he was talking about Trent and didn't want to say anything. We stayed up for a little longer. Crystal cooked up some hot chocolate for us all. Then we went of in pairs to you know do our business.
"Are you and Trent friends now?" I asked Logan,
"No" he said, too quickly like Trent did.
"O...kay", he smiled at me. I couldn't be bothered to go on about it, so I didn't. I just turned around and waited for Logan to do what he had to do.
11pm we were all eventually in the tents. I was huddled in my sleeping bag, trying to get to sleep. Though I was finding this extremely hard due to Crystal's gentle snoring and Tori's fidgeting. Plus the wind whipping through the trees wasn't helping the matter. I slipped an arm out and grabbed my phone;
ME: HEY CY SOZ IF I WOKE U, I CANT SLEEP, AM LED IN A SLEEPING BAG IN A TENT IN THE FOREST XX
CYRUS: HAHAHAHAHA U IN A TENT ;) CANT SLEEP EITHER, LED IN MA BED BORED AS HELL XXXX
ME: NOT FUNNY CY ! NO PARTIES 2NITE THEN?? WHATS EVRYONE ELSE UP 2 . IN BED ASWELL ?? X
CYRUS: THERE ARE PARTIES, BUT NOT BIG. EVERY1 ELSE IS ASLEEP OR FUCKING I THINK XXX
ME: THANKS 4 THAT PICTURE IN MY HEAD BRO !! U GONNA COME DOWN SOON?? XXXXX

I put my phone under my pillow, rolled over and this time, fell to sleep.
