Chapter 4 - Pizza and danger
We are now sat in pizza hut, in a booth, chilling out waiting for our pizzas. It's 5.45pm and already dark. My phone buzzed again, I looked around to see whether it was Trent but I couldn't see him, not like I could last time either, but yeah.
CYRUS: HEY SIS HOWS U?? SORRY BOUT YESTERDAY!! XXXX
ME: I'M FINE ND NO WORRIES BRO. JUST OUT WIV SUM M8'S @ THE MO IN PIZZA HUT XXXXX
CYRUS: U WANNA SPK LATER?? I CAN RING U XXX
ME: YES PLEASE I WILL RING U WHEN I GET HOME LOVE YOU XXX. I slipped my phone away.
"You're popular tonight" Crystal said,
"It was my brother," I replied,
"You didn't tell us you have a brother"
"Well I do, his names Cyrus and he's 20 and he stayed back up in Manchester because he's at Uni there"
"Do you miss him?" Tori asked,
"Sure do"
"Enough of the sad talk" Brad said "Tammara your coming to the camp out on the weekend with us right?"
"What camp out?" I asked,
"Brad..." Logan cursed "We weren't going to ask her so soon"
"Can someone tell me what camp out?" I said,
"Okay, so like every month over a weekend we have a camp out in the forest, we pack all our stuff in our cars Friday morning, go to school then head out to the forest after and set up, we usually muck about, play hide and scare in the forest, have a camp fire, eat awesome home cooked food. On the Saturday we go out to a restaurant for a meal, then head back to camp and chill out, we didn't know if you wanted to come because you've just moved here and you've only known us nearly 2 days" Crystal said. I contemplated it, did I want to go camping in the forest with them. What harm could it do, it could be fun,
"Sounds good, I'll ask my Dad later and let you know tomorrow"
"That will be awesome" Brad announced.
The pizza came not long after, we had two large meaty treats cheesy bites pizza, totally delicious. Considering I'd known them for less than 2 days they were really nice people. I definitely got lucky!
2 hours, 2 pizzas', 5 salads and 3 trips to the ice cream factory later. We were finished; we'd paid and were back in the car park by our cars. It had just gone 7.45pm,
"Thanks for today guys" I told them,
"We had fun Tam, are you going to get home okay, is Logan taking you?" Tori asked,
"I'm going to get a taxi back, plus I need to get a few things from Tesco"
"We can't let you get a taxi back Tam"
"You can and you will. I'll see you all tomorrow", Logan looked at me. Be careful, I heard him say, but I knew it didn't come from his mouth, Tori and Crystal gave me a hug and Brad slapped my ass, I rolled my eyes and strolled off. I found Tesco's and went in, Dad didn't necessarily tell me to buy these things. But I knew we'd be short, I went to the checkout with milk, eggs and bread, the usual things you run out of.
Walking out of Tesco's and into the darkness of the night. I knew I said to them I'd get a taxi, but from where I had no clue. It was pretty cold out too, which didn't help things. My plan was to ask someone where the nearest taxi depot was, but looking at half the people lolling around this place, they looked like extras from Shaun of the dead. I plucked up the courage in the end and asked this guy,
