You get out of bed and put on your clothes, deciding you needed new clothes and having some money spare you leave to go purchase some, as you walk out you see Megumin waiting.

Y/n: I am going to head to the store if you want to come with me?

Y/n: clothes, figure these ones don't fit this era.

You comply with her instruction as she measures you and megumin clearly getting jealous snaps.

She joins the tailor in measuring you making you blush redder than a tomato.

You wait outside until your outfit is prepared, you begin to grin.

you walk over to try out your new outfit and it fit like a glove much to your surprise honestly.

Tailor: well I am a merchant class so we do have some abilities that help with this sort of thing.

you walk out of the building in your new outfit noticeably turning a few heads.

You head back to The guild and Kazuma shows off his new gear to the others, furthermore you learn that a demon kings general lives nearby now hence why there is no "easy" quest, which annoys you greatly but besides that everything went back to normal with you going on explosion quest with Megumin learning more and more and growing closer and closer but the scheduled day for the party to meet was today so you all met at the guild.
Y/n: aqua why are you crying?
Aqua: Kazuma was being mean to me.
Darkness: Kazuma, you went too far in your verbal outburst.
Y/n: you just say that because you're jealous.
Darkness: what I-
Kazuma: he's right you know.
After a bit of bickering, an announcement occurs and calls all adventures to the city gate and there stands the demon king's general himself.
Y/n: ^oh great^
Dullahan: why?! Why do you keep launching explosives at my castle?!
Megumin&Y/n: ^oh no it's our fault.^
Dullahan: we let this city slide under the pretense that everyone here is worthless and this is how we are repaid?
Everyone starts to panic.

You see megumin hesitate and step forward.

Dullahan: you! I demand you stop bombarding my castle!

Your mana was leaking out of you causing the air itself to tremble and become heavy with your rage.
Verdia: and what if I do?
Y/n: I will kill you...

You charge at him but he prepared a death curse already and hit you with it.
Y/n: damn it!
Verdia: so you know what this is? You will die unless you break the curse within a week and the only way you will do that is to come to my castle and best Me!
The dullahan leaves as quickly as he arrived and megumin ran up to you crying.
Megumin: I am so sorry... this is all my fault.
Y/n: why are you crying?
Kazuma walks up as well.
Kazuma: don't worry kid, we will storm the castle and break your curse!
Y/n: why do you care?
Darkness also approaches.
Darkness: by my honor as a crusader we will lift this curse!
Megumin: yeah! We will save you from death!
Y/n: guys guys, don't worry, I wouldn't want to trouble you all.
Megumin slaps you gently but firmly.
Megumin: we are your friends! We can't leave you to do this alone.
Kazuma nods.
Y/n: friends. ^so this is what having friends is like...^
Aqua: sacred curse dispel!
Aqua lifted your curse which was...well unexpected and much to the chagrin of the others.
Y/n: well that was anti-climatic...
Aqua: I am a goddess, after all, a silly curse like that is no problem to me.

Kazuma: I know right!
you all begin to head back to your homes but on the way back you stop everyone.

Kazuma: what's up?

A small silence falls upon the group.

you didn't know how to respond to this so you walked quietly.

by this point you felt terrible as well, I mean really you made the little girl cry.

you reach the inn and go your separate ways, you decide to nod off because after all that lecturing you were tired but one last thought remained in your head.
