I spent too many nights
too many days
too many chances
scrawling air into
the vast universe of worth
I shed too many tears
too many drops
of bitter sweat
too many shards
of broken dreams
grasping for the empty air
in the vast universe of want
So in my wander
after being lost for
centuries of being
blind to my needs
I spent too many days
too many nights
too many pieces of
my shattered glass
of a heart
just to realize
words bloom
when the flower has
withered
words come alive
when the poet
has died
