Asta wakes up in a cold sweat , still in his hospital bed with noelle by his side , he had a dream about yami and noelle, those incidents haunt him.
Asta gets up and begans to stretch like usual, thankfully liebe was able to heal astas leftover wounds from the fight which the healing mages weren't able to repair, asta looks at his right arm, which is replaced with Anti Magic.
"This is pretty cool, i'm just like fuegoleon now" he says as he and liebe laugh as noelle wakes up
"Asta are you awake?" she says looking up to see asta streching and getting ready for his day
"5 a.m bakasta? you're killing me" she says as she gets up and gets dressed , getting ready to go down to the hall to get them food
after she comes back they eat breakfast and talk
"so bakasta, what happened on your end?" she says knowing he and yami fought dante and beat him
"He's strong, stronger then anyone i've ever fought, the amount of mana he possessed was unbelievable, when it felt like we were getting an edge up on him, he'd power up and catch up to us again." he says as noelle looks at him
"When i had fought him by myself, i was able to draw out about half of his power, but it took me to almost 70% of mine to take him on according to what liebe said" he goes on to say
"when gauche got stabbed, the world went dark, and i woke up in my mind , i felt like a passenger watching myself fight dante in my new form, after a while i managed to take control and i felt almost invincible fighting next to dad, but it almost destroyed my body , i bearly had any mana left when i engaged vanica in combat in the heart kingdom" he says as noelle looks sad
"How did you learn forbidden magic asta" she looks serious as he responds to her simply
"from liebe, just in case i needed it" he says as she smiles at that
"thank you for saving me asta" she says as she kisses him and hugs him as they finish their breakfast.
Asta goes to the next room to check on Yuno, as mimosa sleeps in bed, he's looking out of the window when asta knocks
"Hey man, are you okay?" he comes in as Yuno turns around and sees his best friend..... with one less arm
"ASTA WHAT HAPPENED" yuno says as he runs to asta and holds his arm, seeing what is it
"amazing, a arm made of anti magic, how did y-" he says but sees a horn come out of his head , knowing he has used forbidden magic
"i see, i'm just glad you both are okay" hugging asta with a sad look in his eyes.
Yuno then tells asta about the situation while they sip on some water outside while noelle talks to mimosa inside the room
"I can't believe he'd sacrifice so much just for me" noelle says with a sad look as mimosa try's to cheer her up
"He's just like that, he cares so deeply for you and he loves you, and i'm sure he wouldn't wanna lose another person since Yami was taken by the spade kingdom." She says as noelle knows she needs to be there for asta at this moment, since he almost had everything taken from him in just hours.
Asta and Yuno discuss what happened on both their sides, Asta explains why he used forbidden magic and his fight with dante as Yuno tells him about the Zenon situation at the Golden dawn base
"don't worry man, well be back in no time to get yami, and i'm sure he won't go that easily" yuno says as asta smiles, knowing they'll soon march to the kingdom and have a battle to take yami and willam back and defeat the devils.
Later on in the day, Asta and Noelle go back to the bulls base as everyone tries their best to make gold of the situation their in, although it feels lonely without captain Yami. Asta and noelle go to their room and talk to each other as there's a knock on the door
"come in" asta says as nacht enters
"Hella asta, noelle may i borrow him for a while?" he says with a smile as noelle rolls her eyes and lets him take asta, but she remembers something she needs to do.
"bakasta i'm going back to the silver eagles base to talk to Nozel, i'll be back" she says before leaving as asta nods and follow nacht to a old, broken down house , they walk in to see bones everyone as asta is confused
"sir, what is this place?" asta asks nacht as he begans to talk, getting a sad tone while telling asta
"before i joined the bulls, i was apart of a noble family, we had a dark secret where we would give get devils from the underworld through a ritual, one day i tried to summon A higher up devil to add to my arsenal, sadly it didn't go well and it costs my brothers life, after that i was outcasted from the family and i was soon taken in by yami due to what happened, he helped me feel better and made me vice captain, he basically saved me and hell alwsys have my respect for it." nacht says while asta feels bad for the past nacht went through and it gives him more insight to how kind yami really is.
Nacht leads asta into a room downstairs and asta sees skulls on the walls as asta is getting paranoid about the room he's in
"This is the room where many people try to take control of their devil, they battle the devil and most of the time they'll die, and their heads or what's left of them anyways will be put on the wall" nacht says as asta begans to feel more creeped out
"Asta, today i will teach you how to draw out up to 95% of your power" Nacht says as asta is shocked but confused
"only 95%? how about 100%" Asta says as liebe comes out of the grimore
"If you draw out 100% asta, there's a big chance me and you will die" liebe says as asta looks shocked but quickly says
"We should still learn, so if anything happens, we can use it to see everyone" Asta says proudly as liebe and nacht looked surprised at it, but nacht smiles after
"Asta, you Really are different" he says as him and nacht began their training.
Sliver Eagles base
Noelle walks into the base and finds nozel sitting writing and doing his paperwork, noelle then walks through the door getting his attention
"yes noelle?" nozel says as she says plainly
"i know what happened to mom."
nozel stops writing and puts down his pen, before turning around and facing noelle with a sad look in his eyes
"I can't tell you anything about her, if you want to know more go see the captain of the coral peacocks, dorothy" nozel says as noelle is confused
"why not? do you not know anything about -" she'd with off with a hand held over her mouth by nozel
"don't speak it's name, please, just go see her" he says going back to his desk to do work, as noelle is left wondering about the conversation as she heads to see dorothy.
Noelle gets to the base and goes in and sees Dorothy outside , she quickly goes up to her
"Nozel notified me you'd be here" she says before snaping her fingers and her and noelle are transported to another world
"how did yo-"
"dream magic girl, you think i don't sleep all the time for a reason?" she says with a laugh as noelle laughs too, not thinking she'd be so nice
Dorothy snaps her fingers again, making two chairs appear out of thin hair as they sit down and prepare to talk, when suddenly
"NOELLLEEEEE"
They both look to see asta running towards noelle with hearts in his eyes
"baka-bakasta???" she says confused on why he's here
"so that's what you always think about" dorothy says laughing as she snaps and asta disappears to noelles sadness
"i know what you're thinking in this world, i can create and distort anything that is summoned by me, this is basically my own personal realm, which i spend a lot of time in to hone my ability to control and create here" she says as she summons nozel to her side then snaps and makes him disappear before snaping and summoning tons of people before snapping again as they disappear
"Amazing control" noelle says as dorothy finally starts to focus
"nozel told me you learned of your mother's passing and the cause of it yes?" she says as noelle nods
"it was that woman from the dark triad, of her demon" she says as the captain nods
"ah yes megicula, i remember her" she says
"when your mother died when you were little, nozel was very sad , as he lost the one he really wanted to be and i tried to comfort him best i could, they said to never speak of her name, or the same thing you will happen to you" she says as noelle looks on, knowing now why they didn't want her to say her name
"Nozel never told you out of fear you'd go out and suffer the same fate as her in revenge, in fact he wanted to keep you off the battlefield, that's why he sent you to the black bulls." she said as noelles eyes widened
it suddenly became clear why he had bullied her all those years, not out of harm but out of protection and care for her, although it wasn't the best way to go about it, he cared deeply for his sister.
she started to shed tears as Dorothy stopped
"Noelle, It is your destiny to avenge her, in the day of the raid, go with nozel and kill vanica and megicula, end their reign." She says as she snaps and they're back in the real world, with dorothy fast asleep.
asta and nacht
"AGAIN"
asta is on the ground in his half devil form, nacht has been making asta go in and out of his newest form for hours on end, making sure to use it and try to hold it as long as he can, so far he's held it for 10 minutes at the longest.
Asta and Liebe are exhausted, not knowing if they can even stand up but nacht forces them
"DO YOU WANT TO SAVE YAMI AND BECOME THE WIZARD KING? THEN THIS SHOULD BE EASY"
Asta took this as motivation as he stood back up as liebe got ready again
Asta transformed into his devil union mode, he stood there and concentrated as he focused, finally letting his mana explode out
His wings and claws grew, his form started to get red marks all over it and his mana was felt throught out the room.
"Now come at me" nacht says transforming into his own devil union form as they began to engage in combat
Asta speeds toward nacht in a instant, kicking him back before rushing towards him again and punching him into the ground
SHADOW MAGIC - PHASE
Asta throws another punch which goes straight through nacht to his shock, before nacht punches asta in the stomach kicks him back
"NOW ASTA, GIVE ME 75%!" nacht says as asta begans to draw out more power
"CMONNNNNN" Asta yells as he try's his best to draw out more power, being successful as the red marks began to cover more of his body
75% percent!
Asta takes out his demon slayer sword and lets all of his magic pour into it as he gets ready to attack
ANTI MAGIC - ASURAS WRATH
Asta swings his sword with ease, sending a huge wave of anti magic towards nacht as he can bearly dodge, as the attack slices clean through the old house and began to cut miles of tress in the distance
"GOOD JOB ASTA" nacht says praising him as asta lets his form dissolve as he falls to the ground
"Great job today, we're coming closer to being able to harness the full power of your devil, I'm sure by the day we raid them , you will be able to easily defeat dante" nacht says as asta smiles
"I'll bring back dad, no matter what" he says before laying on his back, catching a breath.
the spade kingdom
Yami and Willam are tied to poles, as dante stands in front of them smiling
"It's all coming together, very soon, this world will be mine as well along with my brethren" he smiles as lucifero is seen in his shadow, laughing.
