Chapter 19
The moment we arrived home, I immediately laid my body on the couch. Ipinikit ko ang aking mga mata habang nakatingala.
I heard Zeiger's footsteps near me. "Zeig, ikaw na muna ang maunang mag-shower. Susunod ako," sabi ako.
"Sasabay ka sa akin?"
Napabuka ako at agad napalingon kay Zeiger sa gulat ko. "W-What... What the hell?!"
Upon seeing my sudden reaction, he chuckled while untying his tie and with his coat hanging on his arm.
"I'm just kidding." He chuckled.
I loosened up myself a bit and glared at him. Umirap ako at tumingala nalang ulit at pumikit.
"Ang pangit mong mag-joke," bulong ko.
I can still hear him chuckling kaya napairap ako habang nakapikit.
"But if you want, you can take that seriously. I won't mind."
"Shut up, Zeiger Drake!"
"I'll be taking my shower now. Won't you come? Ayaw mo?"
Sa inis ko, binuka ko ang aking mga mata at tinignan siya ng masama. His face looks innocent as he looked at me but I saw a smirk hidden in his pursed lips, so wala akong pake sa pa-inosente niyang mukha.
"Yes- I mean no! Ayaw ko! Tumahimik ka nga! Maligo ka na doon."
"Alright." Humalakhak siya. Ipinikit ko ang mga mata ko ng mariin.
I don't know if I should be happy that he talked to me now or not because he's pissing me off.
Narinig ko ang yabag ng paa niyang paalis na kaya medyo nakahinga ako ng maluwag.
"If ever you've changed your mind, I won't lock the door. Feel free to enter and join me."
"KEBARIBARIDAD ZEIGER, TUMAHIMIK KA!" Humalakhak siya. Before I could throw him the throw pillow he treads faster up the stairs.
Napabuntong hininga ako nang mawala siya sa paningin ko at tanging yapak ng paa at halakhak nalang niya ang naririnig ko hanggang sa pag-bukas at sara ng pinto ng kwarto.
I sighed again and ran my fingers through my hair. This day was tiring yet is the best day I have spent with Zeiger. I never thought-perhaps expect, that this day could happen. Even Zeiger joking around was the least I've expected.
Yes, I may be hoping before that he'd talked to me or even joked around me; I did hope that we'd go on a date but I never expect that to actually happen. Why would I expect that when he couldn't even stand a conversation with me? Why would I expect that when all he did was to avoid me, right? All my life I've been expecting too much on him that I always got disappointed in return. Sobrang nakakapanghina ang ma-disappoint palagi kaya siguro sa parteng iyon ay hindi ko na in-expect pa.
Ilang minuto din akong nanatili sa posisyon ko bago nagpasyang tumayo na at pumanhik sa taas. Nang pumasok ako sa kwarto ay siya ding paglabas ni Zeiger sa banyo. Good thing he's already in his shorts and T-shirt when he went out. I don't know how could I handle the moment where I would see him only with a towel wrapped around his waist.
"You did not change your mind? I didn't locked the door." He shrugged and I flinched.
W-What... Seryoso ba siya?!
"S-S-Shut... Shut up!" I said with a flushed face.
Humalakhak ulit siya kaya inismiran ko siya at padabog na naglalakad papasok ng banyo. I immediately closed the door and locked it the moment I entered. Delikado na.
I put my hands on my face as I felt it heated up by what Zeiger said. But remembering his laughter made my face flushed even more. Why does it sounds so sexy when he laughs? That's unfair.
I sighed as I took off my clothes and positioned myself under the shower before turning it on and let the cold water drenched me. I hope that the flow with this cold pouring water above me could washed away the extreme feeling I'm feeling inside my chest and could cool me down.
Nang matapos ako ay agad kong sinuot ang bathrobe sa katawan ko bago lumabas ng kwarto. Dumapo agad ang mata ko sa naka-plakdang si Zeiger sa kama at tulog. I chuckled. He must be really tired for everything we've done today.
I treaded towards the walk-in closet and wore my PJs. Umupo ako sa vanity table afterwards para patuyoin ang buhok ko gamit ang hair dryer. I can see Zeiger through the mirror and I couldn't help but to smile while drying my hair and staring at him while he's asleep. His lips a bit parted and brows furrowed a little. Why does he have to be so good looking even when he's in a deep slumber?
I combed my hair before standing up and walked towards the bed. Humiga ako sa tabi ni Zeiger nang paharap sa kaniya. I gently ran my fingers through his hair as I stared at him.
Ngumiti ulit ako sabay dahan-dahang lumapit sa kaniya at hinalikan siya sa noo.
"Mahal na mahal kita, Zeig," bulong ko.
Umatras ako ng kaunti at tumalikod sa gawi niya't ipinikit ang aking mga mata habang nakaukit pa din sa aking mga labi ang isang ngiti, hanggang sa tuloyan na akong kinain ng kadiliman.

The next day seems normal as I cooked our breakfast while Zeiger did the usual thing he does every morning; facing and typing on his laptop at the living room.
Nang kumain na ay tahimik lang din kami, as usual, but the air in the dinning wasn't as awkward as before.
"You'll come to my office later?"
Halos mabilaukan ako sa biglang tanong ni Zeiger. He immediately hand me a glass of water, kinuha ko iyon at agad tinungga. Inilapag ko ang baso pagkatapos at tumikhim bago siya tinignan.
"S-Siguro. Pag-katapos kong tumulong sa flower shop."
Tumango siya sabay subo ng pagkain at mga mata nakatuon sa kaniyang plato. "Okay. I guess I won't ask my secretary to buy me lunch starting today?" He looked up at me with a playful smirk stretched on his lips.
I chewed my lower lip and looked away before slowly nodding my head. He cackled. I didn't mind.
"I will just stop by to a restaurant or fast food to buy lunch. Pag uuwi pa kasi ako baka mas lalo akong matatagalan."
"I should let my secretary buy our lunch then," he stated calmly as he shoved a spoonful in his mouth.
Agad akong umiling bilang pagtanggi. "Hindi, ako na. May nakita akong fast food on the way sa kompanya mo, doon na lang ako bibili."
"Are you sure?" he reassured, a brow quirking up. I nodded.
"Okay, then."
Our breakfast ended with a light air and small conversation that I did not expect with him. Naghuhugas ako ng mga pinggan habang si Zeiger naman ay pumanhik sa taas para maligo.
Nang matapos ako ay siya ring pagbaba niya nang naka-bihis pang opisina niya. I looked at him stupefied. Ang bilis niyang maligo, yan ang napansin ko simula nang ikasal kami. I don't know what guys do when they took a bath that it only lasted for at most ten minutes while for me, myself, took almost 30 minutes or an hour. Isang kabo lang ba ang inililigo nila?
"What?" he asked the moment he saw the weird look I darted at him.
Napakurap-kurap ako at agad umiling. "Wala. Ang bilis mo kasing maligo. Kakatapos ko lang manghugas, tapos ka na din?!"
"Makupad ka lang talaga kumilos."
I felt a vein popping out of my head as I glared at him. The corner of his mouth turned up as he looked at me and he shrugged.
Humarap siya sa salamin na nasa sala namin habang sinusuot ang kaniyang necktie. Lumapit naman ako para tulongan siya.
I tugged him by his arm to make him faced me, then I tied it properly.
"Pero hindi nga, ang bilis mong maligo! While me, I always took 30 minutes or an hour on taking a bath."
"There's no reason for me to stay in the shower for too long. Unlike you girls, for us guys, shampoo and a soap is enough to clean ourselves."
"Sabagay. Wala ka palang kekeme kemeng ia-apply," I said as I tapped his tied necktie before taking a step backwards.
"Kekeme keme?" he looked at me weirdly.
I chuckled as I stared at him. Kekeme keme doesn't sounds good with him.
"Wala!" natatawang saad ko at tumingin sa orasan na nakasabit sa pader. "I guess you should go. Malapit ka nang ma-late."
Tumingin din siya sa oras at agad kinuha ang mga gamit niya. I looked at him as he checked his things and took his car keys before he faced me.
"I'll be going," he said as I plastered a smile on my face and nodded.
Hinatid ko si Zeiger hanggang sa gate ng bahay. I waved my hand at him while he smiled before he went in his car. He beeped the horn before he started the engine and drove off. Hinatid ko ng tingin ang kaniyang kotse bago pumasok ng bahay nang hindi ko na matanaw ang kaniyang sasakyan.

THIRD PERSON'S POV
"What are your plans?" tanong ng lalaki sa babae'ng nakapan-de-kwatro habang nagtsa-tsaa.
"I'll talk to her."
"Are you sure?" the guy asked doubtfully. She immediately darted a glare at him as she sipped on her tea.
"Just what the hell do you think of me? I'll just talk to her!" naiinis na saad nito sa lalaki.
The guy shrugged his shoulders as he took a seat in front of the lady.
"Do you think she'll be happy?"
Natigilan ang babae sa pag-inom at agad bumuntong hininga bago inilapag ang kaniyang tsaa.
"I'll talk to her, today," she said as she set aside what the guy said and the bothering feeling she felt inside of her.
The guy sighed in defeat as he looked at her hopelessly.
She rolled her eyes as she took her phone and sent a message to someone. The moment the message delivered, she stood up and was about to walked away when the guy spoke up again.
"You'll ruin them."
She stopped on her track as she formed her hand into a fist. "I know. But it doesn't matter. This is the only way I know to help them up. They'll gonna thank me for this," she stated, brows quirking up as she take her leave, leaving the guy looking at her dumbfounded.
