Chapter 3 everyone! I will be starting with all my otps first before the other ship and the full plot. okay so I hope you enjoy this
I would like to note, any relationships, any orientation or gender i have perceived of them DOES NOT reflect them in real life. All of these are only in my pure imagination and general crack-headery.

As the night slowly creep to the quiet city of Moami, many people ready for the midnight shenanigans they do every friday. As city lights and street sights get loud from the bustling people in the metropolis, a gym were in its closing time, ready to either hit the sack or join the crowd. A man ran around his gym, checking for any problems and unfinished tasks before closing. After deeming the gym is ok, he closes up, all of their gym trainers already left, leaving him to close.
The city lights up around him, shining his face with a warm city glow. His light yellowish blond hair with brown roots sways as the young man breathed the city air. His bomber jacket hung from his built form, underneath were his Gym uniform (pic below for reference). Leggings clad legs over his gym short cling to his legs with yellow and black sneakers with lightning bolt charms on his feet. Bracelets hang from his wrist, and a black and yellow ring made from hard plastic on his ring and middle finger.
He fished his phone from his pockets, connecting his headphones on and relaxed on calming music as he made his way through the town, passing the different shops, diners, and bars. But he isn't here to participate in the hustle and bustle of the city, he needs to find someone, someone so important, someone in particular.
He needs to find Renjun. And he knows where to find them.

Pass the cityscapes and into the cover of the forest, the young man walks a familiar path. He twists and turns around the forest, finding the specific place he need to go. He knows he is getting closer when he feels the eerie feeling course through his body. He can feel and see multiple ghost pokemon stare at him, watching his every move, ever so curious.
Soon a tall building shows in front of him, seemingly dark and gloomy under the shine of the brilliant moon. Cracks and decay spotted around the structure, it's surprising it still manage to stand here firm and stiff. Tower of Aespire, the regional hotspot for multitude of ghost pokemon. You see, ghost pokemon can be found anywhere, but at specific days, they all gathered around here for a sole purpose. It's also at this time Renjun comes here for his own purpose.
The young man entered the tower, he looking around and found broken furniture. After deciding he had seen enough here, he climbed the spiral stairs leading to the top. Each step made the stair s creak and groan from the age and decay.
"ooooohh~~ mmmmhhmm~~~"
The boy heard a voice, it was coming from the top of the tower. He recognized that voice, he will always remember that voice. With a renew vigor, he climbed up the stairs faster, almost tripping but he manages. He then reached the top, he was about to meet someone he wanted to meet. The only thing blocking is a door closing a room which the voice comes from. He took a deep breath before opening.
"Oh Yangyang! You found me!"

The person, Renjun, looked back behind them and saw a young man roughly his height, maybe even taller, walked into the same room their in. The latter, Yangyang, chuckled light-heartedly at the remark of his non-binary friend. They're wearing a wizard robe, opened a bit showing his gym uniform (pic below for reference), it is tied by the waist with a golden ribbon with different charms and trinkets. Their neck is also decorated with different amulets and pendants. Their wrist, has a bracelet, colored purple and black with a cute Palossand charm. Their hair is also decorated with a cute hair pin making them look quite young and innocent, but Yangyang knows they're far from that.Finally, their right ear are pierced with a chandelier earring with a small silver xhain connected to a part of the ear shell.
"Well, I always know where you'll end up anyways," he said softly as he took a seat from a nearby chair, "Welp... Erm.. Don't mind me, I'm just enjoying the show. And besides, you might like the company."
Renjun snorted, "You know me so well, you bastard," they remarked, lightly giggling. Yangyang shrugged jokingly as he scooch himself comfortable on the chair. Renjun just rolled their eye before clearing his throat, thinking of a proper song. They had a good one, they took a breath and....
"I am tired of this place, I hope people change,
I need time to replace what I gave away,
And my hopes, they are high, I must keep them small,
Though I try to resist I still want it all."
Renjun started, feeling the emotion of the song, the lyrics, the vibe. Unknowing to them, someone was mesmerized by them, eyes filled with fondness as he stared at his best friend singing their heart out. He knows how much that song meant to them. And, quite possibly, that's the reason he fell in love with them.
"I see swimming pools and living rooms and aeroplanes,

I see quiet nights poured over ice and Tanqueray,
But everything is shattering and it's my mistake.

They continued singing. Soon, different ghost pokemon appeared, eager to listen to their favorite person sing ethereally. All the pokeom eventually started relaxing; a Banette cuddled with a Phantump, a cute closeness that obviously had history; A Gengar family sitting with the Cofagrigus line. Just a huge number of pokemon, all gathered for this moment.

Renjun finished, feeling the coolness of the night. They loved that song, because they felt like they can feel the lyrics and somehow relate to it. Especially when they have a special someone in mind while singing it. Someone who is very hyper and very very goofy, someone who knows everything about them. That someone being the same person with them, and for him, they would be a fool anyday.
While Yangyang, Oh he will do anything just to make the person in front of him his. He loved and admired how strong and brave the other is for being themselves. In his eyes, they're perfect.
Yangyang clapped with vigor alongside the pokemon who cheered with delight. Renjun beamed from the attention and praise as they went near to Yangyang. "You were amazing!" Renjun got shy by that compliment, they always get flustered when the latter compliment them.
"Thank you," they replied. Yangyang pulled the small enby towards him in a tight hug. The smaller one hugged back and snuggled in the slightly taller one's chest. They stood there for a minute, just enjoying the presence of the other, some of the Gengars--being naturals in mischief--teasing them from behind.
Yangyang was the first to pull away from the hug. He noticed a stray black hair got their face, so he did the only logical thing and slowly comb it back in the black and white tuffs of hair. The small enby blushed hard from the small action. They both just laughed it off and awkwardly stood there.
"It's late. I guess let's go home. I'll take you there." Yangyang sweetly offered. Renjun nodded as they exited the tower and walked their way back to Moami City. While walking, Renjun outstretched their pinky finger, trying to connect with Yangyang's hand. Yangyang saw this and did the brave thing and held the enby's hand tightly. Faint blushes spread across both cheeks, they stayed that way until they both reached Renjun's house.
"Um.... Thanks again for bringing me home," Renjun broke the silence.
"No problem, that's what best friends do," Yangyang said, although a bit saddened over the fact that they are only frineds despite having a crush on the other for 5 years. 'If only'
The enby was a bit taken aback, before composing themselves. Oh that's right, 'just friends.....' They only gave a small smile before dropping their head a bit, 'only best friends' he reminded themselves. A minite of silence had passed when Renjun decided to speak up again. "Well I'm gonna go in now. Thanks again." Yangyang only gave a nod.
As they were about to go in their house Yangyang called him again. "Wait-" Renjun looked back towards the other, waiting for him to continue. "T-there is a new cafe opened near the gym, would you like to, you know, go with me to get, like coffee or milk tea?"
"Liu Yangyang, are you asking me in a date?" Renjun teased. Yangyang quickly shook his head.
"N-no, its n-not like that. I j-just wanted to know if you-u wanted to get a cup of coffee or maybe a mil-" Renjun interrupted the boys rambling, giggling at the cute behaviour his gym partner showed.
"I would love too," They said. The boy just blushed and nodded before bidding his last goodbye. "See you tomorrow for our date~ Yangie~"
"O-ok!!" Yangyang replied back, before returning to his home. When he got home, he touched his flushed cheek and everything clicked in his head. 'Did I just asked my crush out on a date???' He screamed to himself. Well this day turned dandy, does it?

Yeah yeah I know its cliche af but i love renyang so shut up. Also if I accidentally misgendered renjun, please not me. So that concludes our 3rd chapter. Next is a cute day out with renyang!!
