Your POV
"Y'know (Y/n), Gogo and I were pretty serious that you look different now," Honey Lemon stated, as we walk our way towards SFIT. Gogo nodded her head, and suprisingly, she has no bubblegum in her mouth.
"Yeah, but Honey meant it as a good different. Besides, it kinda felt nice having the new you. Cause it's like we're walking with a celebrity." Gogo half stated, and I guess.. complimented, making me laugh.
"Oh puh-lease. I didn't really change. I'm still me." I laughed, clutching a strap of my bag. Honey Lemon and Gogo laughed.
A few minutes of talking about random things, we finally reached the school. Tons of students flooded the entryway and the school grounds, maybe talking or discussing about their majors. Me and the girls went to our designated lockers, getting the specific things we need for a few classes. Then, when we're getting our things, Olivia greeted us. Well, maybe just Honey and Gogo.
"Hey Gogo! Hi Honey! Where's (y/n)? And who's this girl with you? Is she your friend? Never seen her here before," she started asking Honey and Gogo, and immediately Gogo calmed her down from asking.
"Olive. This is (y/n)." Honey told Olivia, as she motioned towards me. Olivia's eyes drifted towards me, and she laughed.
"Are you guys craaayzy? That's not (y/n)! (Y/n)'s the adorkable, nerdy little friend of mine! Not this, gorgeous super serious kinda like a celeb girl." She laughed. I gasped.
"Ouch. That kind of hurt." I spoke, making Olive stop laughing. She looked at me dead serious, and immediately walked infront of me. She examined my appearance from head to toe, her expression never leaving her face. Then, she stared directly at my (e/c) contact-covered eyes. She gasped, as her jaw literally dropped.
"Noooo way." She said, a stern tone in her voice. "Prove to me you're (y/n), then I'll believe you." She pointed at me. I chuckled, "Why do I need to prove to you that I'm the real (y/n)?" Olivia chuckled, "Because maybe you're just an imposter that has the same voice as (y/n)." She stated.
I looked at her and she nodded. I sighed, then remembered one thing she told me that she didn't tell anyone at all. After I remembered, my mouth formed to a mischievous smirk.
"Alright. I'll prove it to you," I started. "If I'm not the real (y/n), then I wouldn't know the one thing you haven't told anyone but yourself yet and the real (y/n)." I smirked.
Olivia raised her brow, urging me to continue.
"Remember that time when you seriously need to tell someone about your secret? It's that time when you pulled me in the janitor's closet and practically screamed at me that you pe-" I continued, but once I did I got cut off by Olivia. She quickly covered my mouth.
"ALRIGHT ALRIGHT, YOU PROVED ME ENOUGH." She exclaimed. I pulled her hand away from my mouth. "Not proved enough huh? You told me that you pe-" I smirked and tried to tease her. It officially worked, making her look at me nervously.
"(Y/N)! IT IS YOU! WOW. NEVER THOUGHT THAT IT WOULD BE REALLY YOU." Olive nervously chuckled as she spoke.
"Finally you believed me." I pretended to sigh deeply, as Honey and Gogo looked amused and is eager to know Olive's secret. They begged for me to tell while Olivia begged for me not to. I didn't, since I felt sorry for the poor lady. I chuckled, and grabbed my things.
I started to walk away and encourage the three to walk with me to the next class, but they immediately stopped me. They pulled my arm as they point to the direction of a boy with mesey black hair and a girl with a yellowish-blonde hair talking and laughing with each other. I noticed the two people and immediately knew that it was Hiro and that 'Emily' girl, and a feeling of sudden irritation swept through me.
Dammit, why can't they flirt at each other somewhere else?
My mind clouds over to what I've said.
Wait, what? How come I sound like a selfish girl who need her bestfriend that bad?
Maybe I'm just worried that Hiro will break our friendship for that girl.
Nah. That wouldn't happen.
My thoughts were interrupted by a sudden call of Honey.
"(Y/n)? Are you even listening?" She asked. I snapped my head towards her direction.
"S-Sorry. I kinda spaced out. What were you saying?" I awkwardly asked. Honey chuckled,
"Actually, I was asking if you know that girl Hiro's with." She said. I looked at the two people who were located far away. My eyes suddenly halted to a glare.
"Yeah. I do," I bitterly said.
Woah, what's with me today?
"Huh. Well then who's she?" Gogo asked. I scoffed. "Hiro's bestfriend since first grade."
"(Y/n)? Are you okay?" Olive asked. I looked at her, and breathed. "Yeah. Why?" I asked, my normal tone coming back.
"You seem to have moodswings. Are you on your period or something?" She asked. I repeatedly shook my head. "No! Why would you ask?" I asked, feeling my cheeks burn.
"Like I said, moodswings." Olive stated, crossing her arms over chest. I shrugged. "Maybe I didn't eat enough breakfast earlier."
Honey Lemon scoffed. "Didn't have enough breakfast? (Y/n), we practically saw you eat two plates of bacon with eggs and pancakes."
Then, she smirked.
"Maybe you're jealous." She teased, nudging my arm. I looked at her like she was crazy. "Jealous? Of what?"
"Of that girl being with Hiro." She smirked once again. "Pssssh. Give me a break. Why would I be jealous?" I asked, acting cool. Gogo smirked. "Oh yeah. She's jealous."
"I'M NOT!" I accidentally yelled. "Don't be such a denial, (y/n). It's soooo obvious." Olivia stated. I huffed. Then, Hiro came towards the direction we are at, with Emily.
Dammit. How dare he?!
STOP MIND! DON'T TELL ME SUCH THINGS!
"Hey Honey, Gogo. Olivia," Hiro greeted them. They waved in reply. "(Y/n)! Hi," Hiro then looked at me. I smiled nervously. "Hi Hiro! Oh hey there Hiro's bestfriend! You know I really should go to class. I got a project coming up, so. Haha~ Ttyl! Bye!" I quickly spoke, then ran to the direction of my next class, leaving my friends and Emily confused.
Hiro's POV
"What's up with her?" I asked, looking at Gogo, Honey Lemon and Olivia. Gogo and Olive shrugged, while Honey was about to say something exciting. "(Y/N)'S JE-" she was cut off by Olive, who was covering her mouth.
"What Honey means is that (Y/n) wants Jelly. Right Honey?" She immediately asked, while gently placing down her hands from Honey Lemon's mouth. Honey looked at her, then Gogo nudged her arm. Honey nodded immediately.
"Y-Yeah! (Y/n) wants Jelly, that's why she quickly walked away!" She nervously chuckled. I looked at her suspiciously.
"Alright...then," I said. "Anyways, meet my friend, Emily. She's been my friend since 1st grade." I smiled, introducing Emily. She waved, but then she punched me on the arm. "Ow! What was that for?!" I exclaimed.
"What Hiro meant is bestfriend. Fyi." Emily chuckled.
Honey looked at Emily for a bit.
"I-" She cautiously inspected Emily. "-like your bun. And your outfit." She finished.
"Thank you," Em smiled, "I got this idea from SF Pop Glam." (A/n: Ye I made it up. XD) She said, making Honey Lemon gasp.
"You know SF Pop Glam?!" She asked. Emily giggled and nodded her head in reply.
"OH MY GOSH! THAT'S LIKE, MY FAVORITE FASHION SHOW! Tell me, tell me, tell me! How long have you been here in SF?" She asked excitedly. Emily looked at me, unsure. I gave her a head nod, reassuring her.
"2 weeks," she answered. "I knew SF Pop Glam ever since I came. I guess I kinda like fashion, but someday I wanna be a pastry chef. But, with a little bit of modern technology. That's why I'm here in SFIT." Emily explained.
"Hey, maybe Aunt Cass can teach you. She is the owner of a pastry cafè." I said to her. She nodded her head.
"Yeah. Maybe I should. Anyways, since I'm pretty much new here, can you show me the way to Science class?" She asked me. Honey Lemon immediately spoke up. "Maybe I could show you. Then after that I could show you to the team!" She smiled.
"That's a pretty good idea. You should meet them Em, they're pretty cool." I nodded. Emily nodded her head, "Alrighty then! Uh, Honey Lemon...? Sorry, I dunno your name yet."
"Yep! The name's Honey Lemon! Come, I'll show you the way," Honey motioned Emily to follow her.
"See ya later everyone! Meet you in the lab!" Honey smiled and waved. Emily waved goodbye to me, Gogo and Olive.
"Well, I gotta go to class. Bye," Gogo walked off. Olive smiled at me. "C'mon Hiro. Algebra's this way," she smiled before walking away towards our classroom, as I nod my head and followed behind.
Your POV
*timeskip* (In the nerd lab)
Laughter.
Laughter is the only thing that I could hear.
Besides Hiro's laughter, I could also hear that girl's laughter.
I kinda regret to be happy being beside Hiro's lab.
Because it's pretty much hella annoying.
In English period, they both sat beside each other, me being 10000000000 meters away from them.
Usually in English me and Hiro sit right next to each other.
But obviously not.
Gym class. Oh boy, don't get me started.
When Professor Frost announced to play dodgeball, and get a partner, guess what?
Hiro immediately picked Emily.
While I get to play alone.
Hate to admit but I'm pretty sad starting earlier today.
When I found out that Honey started hanging out with Emily, as well as the others and Tadashi too, I felt pretty left out.
Usually when it's time to go to the Nerd Lab, me and Hiro always go straight to the vending machine.
The vending machine of gummy bears.
But guess what? Today was completely different. Once we stepped in the lab, Hiro went to Emily to introduce her to her lab (which was beside Hiro's lab), and now they started laughing at who knows what.
So what I did is to step in my lab, lock the door, and disappear from the world.
For the first time in forever since that Emily came, I felt alone.
It's like the 'bestfriend' thing that Hiro and I promised at each other went away quickly.
Then, I snapped out of my thoughts. I must be overreacting.
"DAMMIT! WRONG CIRCUIT!" I screamed, looking at my failed project. The blue and red wires were completely scrambled, and luckily, I haven't turn on the switch yet or else this thing might've exploded.
I figured out that the cause of this mistake was me being frustrated, sad, angry or maybe...
Over reacting too much.
Snap out of it, (y/n)! Be your usual self!
So I did what's best; unlocked my lab door, went out, stomping towards the vending machine (ignoring that annoying laughter), getting out my coin and inserted it inside.
I picked up the ejected gummy bear packet, as I rip it open furiously and started to put some in my mouth.
Once I've tasted the familiar sweet taste of the gummy bear, my sadness and all of that stuff completely went away. I smiled in satisfaction, and continued eating gummy bears while walking back to my lab room. But in the way, my name is called by a familiar voice.
"(Y/n)!"
I turned to where the voice was, and unfortunately, it was Hiro. He was in his lab room, his door completely open, open enough to see that he was with Emily and the gang.
"Oh, hey there." I greeted, looking at them. "Why don't you come have fun with us? I hear that Wasabi's taking us to ths sushi place! That's our favorite food, right (y/n)?" Hiro asked excitedly, hoping that I'll come.
My stomach churned, and I hear tiny (y/n)s screaming no.
"Uh, maybe I'll pass. Not in the mood today. He, sorry." I smiled fakely, as I pick up a gummy and eat it. Hiro pouted. "Awe~ c'mon. I know you can't resist the sushi!" He begged.
I shook my head. "Thank you for asking, but no thanks." I smiled again as I head back to my lab. I closed the door, and leaned against it, putting down my gummy bears.
Beside me, I hear a faint voice, and from the tone of it, the voice belonged to Emily.
"Don't worry about her Hiro, maybe she's just tired."
Then, a voice followed up.
"Yeah. Maybe I should just... let her rest."
As I heard the conversation end, and the fun the gang as well as Hiro and Emily were having grew louder, I felt a drop of tear drip down my face.
I wiped it off.
Where was the old Hiro who sticks by me?
Maybe I'm just feeling..
"Maybe you're jealous." She teased, nudging my arm. I looked at her like she was crazy. "Jealous? Of what?"
"Of that girl being with Hiro." She smirked once again. "Pssssh. Give me a break. Why would I be jealous?" I asked, acting cool. Gogo smirked. "Oh yeah. She's jealous."
I'm feeling jealousy? Of what? No... it can't be.
