The Stephenson family is a family where everyone mostly minds their business not because they don't care but because they're just too busy to show that they care.
Hon Stephenson is a politician who rarely stays home. He always travels and is too busy to make out time to spend with his family.
Mrs Helina, his wife is a businesswoman although she lives with her family she still doesn't have the time to be with them as she ought to.
She goes to the market early in the morning at times before the kids wake up and come home mostly at night when they're asleep.
Michael, Michelle's elder brother lives in Japan. He never called home except for this recent one. Michelle on the other hand lives in school and manages to visit the house once in blue moon.
It's possible to say that she most of the time forgets who her father is and what he looks like because they hardly see each other.
It's either she's in school when he's back home or she's home should he be away. Or maybe they'll either meet when he is about to travel or she's maybe coming back home.
Mira, the youngest of all is the housekeeper. If not for school, she would have been staying all alone every single day in the house.
It was a happy and big memory to withhold for the Stephenson family to all be together at the same time for the first time.

It's been two weeks since Michelle came back to school. Sampson had called her earlier today to ask her if they could have dinner tonight probably date and she agreed. She had gone to buy a new dress for the date.
In the evening around 19:00, Sampson came to pick her up. The dinner was going so well coupled with the cool breeze that is making the night romantic.
"So tell me more about yourself?". suggested Sampson
"Well," she clears her throat " there's nothing much about me just that I haven't been lucky when it comes to love. Guess maybe I have a problem or something". She said looking down at her food.
"Oh no Michelle, you have no problem you're so beautiful that no man can resist you", he held her hand on his and stroked his thumb at the back of her hand.
"I love you Michelle and I promise to prove to you how lucky you're with love". He smiled as they held eye contact. They began to move closer to each other in motion with their feeling and the tension rising in them.
Just as they were about to... Boom!. "So this is it, Ken?!". Shouted a young lady standing in front of the two startled lovers.
"Ken!" She began again shouting the more "so this is the company interview you're having right, Thai is the reason you left me to be with this thing huh?". She asked furiously staring at Michelle as she points a finger at her face.
"Wha... What...what is she talking about?, Who is she?". Asked confused Michelle.
"Uhm babe, this isn't what you think it what it seems like said Sampson as he stood up going near the furious young lady.
"You see babe, I never left you I'll never do that I came here for the job I told you about, this girl over there is nothing to me, she's just a girl. I bumped into the day before yesterday with so many problems.
Am just comforting and helping her you know, nothing else is attached. You're the one I love and you know it". He said convincingly and looked at the young lady who has calmed down now blocking her from seeing Michelle with his back.
"What the hell did you just say now, Sampson? Oh my God, I can't believe this is happening. Sampson you said am a random girl you met with so many problems and you're just comforting me, I should've known this will happen. Men, they're all the same. Anna warned me about this..." She started crying.
"Oh Mr woman", started the young lady, "for your information Kenneth here" she placed her hand on his shoulder "is my fiancee" she showed her the engagement ring on her finger "And we will be getting married soon.
Anyways, I don't know what you both have together or what he has told you but his name is not Sampson and I won't bear to see you anywhere close to him so fuck off". She said with finality then looked at Sampson who is now Kenneth and marched out of the place.
"Uhm am sorry, I didn't know you took the relationship that serious and I didn't expect things to turn out this way. Have got to go". With that, he ran to meet up with his fiancee.
Michelle stood there heartbroken, everything seems like a dream. She managed to get home and cried her heart out.
She cried throughout the night. Anna is not at home, she had travelled that morning to her village to go see her grandmother and will be back in two days.
Anna came back and saw Michelle laying down on the floor like a lifeless body. She panicked at first thinking she was dead, she called her name no response then she sprinkled some water on her face before she woke up.
She breathed heavily. "Hey babe you just scared the devil out of me. What's wrong with you, why are you looking like a lost abandoned puppy?". She chuckled while lifting Michelle to sit upright.
"Mich you stink when last did you take a bath, are you sure you've been eating. Talk to me about what is wrong". She asked with a concerned and worried look.
Much looked up at Anna she just let the tears flow down her cheeks. Anna looked like she understood what has happened and wiped the tears off her face.
"I'm sorry Mich, please don't cry". She pleaded
"Why shouldn't I cry Anna why? He was an imposter, he lied to me, he denied me, Anna. I need to cry this cry Anna please let me cry", she said with hurt sobbing heavily.
"You can cry on my shoulder I don't mind" suggested Anna.
"Thank you," Mich said in a low voice and hugged Anna tightly and letting the whole tears fall from her eyes.
They stayed that way for some minutes.
"I just left for two days and a whole lots happened, am just imagining what will happen if I leave for a month". Anna chuckled at the last statement.
"The house and I will be burnt", replied Michelle sarcastically. They both laughed
"So tell me what happened like how did it happen?". Anna asked Michelle who is now sitting on the bed with a glass of orange juice.
"What else do you want me to say, Anna, he left me. He didn't break up but it was more of rejection". Said Michelle with hurt in her voice.
"So how did it happen, I mean you guys were so good a day before the date. So how come he rejected you as you said? Anna asked with a confused look.
"Anna, we went on a date that evening, and everything was going on well. He told me that he loved me. He even promised to show me love Anna. We were about... about... about... to in kind of kiss". She shrugged
"When a lady barged in on us. She started yelling at Sampson who I discovered that night his real name was Kenneth, not Sampson". She smirked at the lady's sentence.
"What! Are you serious? So he was deceiving you all this while. What was his motive? So who was the girl that barged in? Asked Anna.
"She claims to be his fiancee. Anna she fucking showed me the engagement ring". She laid back on the bed exhausted.
"Are you serious?" Asked Anna.
"Do I look like I am joking? The worst part of it is that my so-called boyfriend left me to comfort the girl. He told her that I was just a random girl with problems he bumped into and he was comforting me there because of my shitty life.
Anna, he denied me, he made me look dejected and the next he told me was sorry that he didn't mean for things to turn out this way and left with the girl.
The most hurting part of it is that he just finished telling me that he loves me just a few seconds ago before he denied ever knowing me. He even told me that he didn't know I took the relationship serious imagine.
He left me in shattered Anna. I have fallen for him, I thought he was the one, the real one... Why me? Why always me?" She started crying again.
Anna went over to her on the bed and hugged her. "It's okay sweetie, Don't cry too much for him he doesn't deserve it okay". Consoled Anna.
"I should've listened to you Anna, you warned me, you did warn me but I was blinded with love. Stupid love not to see and heed your advice and warnings.
This is the second time Anna, the second time I am being left shattered. They always play with my heart as if it's nothing. Michelle when will you ever learn...". She cried heavily.
"It's okay dear stop lamenting you've got my shoulder to cry on". She said hugging her tightly.
"Thank you, dear, I wonder what I would've done without you".
"Am always here for you". Said Anna as she wipes tears from Michelle's face.
