Jin had to hurry. It took all of his willpower to turn away and leave Y/N after that steamy moment. He just wanted to strip her down and fuck her senseless in front of that mirror wall, but now was neither the time nor place.

His heart was beating fast as he rushed down the hallways and back into the massive, crowded ballroom.

As he approached the ballroom, he slowed down his pace, made sure that his suit was in place, and straightened. He cleared his throat and ran his finger through his hair.

He entered the ballroom with big and relaxed, confident steps, slowly moving his eyes left and right and scanning the room.

Jungkook was standing and talking to a group of men; all dressed in black suits. Jin chuckled at how innocent his face looked. Moving through the massive room, on the very end near the bar, he spotted a silver-haired Namjoon.

He headed there, knowing Hoseok and Yoongi would be with him. As he approached his destination, people around him bowed, nodded their heads, and apologized for standing in his way, frantically moving to the side.

The three male figures were positioned in the right corner of the glorious lounge bar. They were standing tall, with a glass of whiskey in their hand, talking to each other.

As soon as Jin had approached them close enough to hear each other, Hoseok's face shifted. He scrunched his nose and narrowed his eyes.

"Jin, where did you suddenly disappear?" Yoongi inspected. He was angry, but not at Jin. It's just his normal state. Of course, 11 minutes and 47 seconds pass quickly, and no one would have probably noticed, but to these men, nothing can slide easily.

"I had to take care of something quickly," Jin replied, "What were you discussing?"

"You smell of women, and it shows," Yoongi scoffed and emptied his glass of expensive liquor.

"The trial," replied Hoseok ignoring Yoongi's words. "What options do we have? Should we just get rid of everyone?"

"Hm, there is no need for that. They can't get all the way up to us. No one knows us. No one knows our names, faces, or anything." Namjoon replied, and he was right.

"People know," Hoseok's words brought Jin out of his thoughts.

"Our parents were murdered less than three days ago," Hoseok continued. "We have managed to cover it up and make it as if they have left on their usual summer resort on Jeju Island. But things are getting more and more tangled. And we don't even know for sure who were the murderers."

Namjoon furrowed his eyebrows, making a thinking face.

"They also follow us. Y/N to be exact." Hoseok's eyes were fiery pits, and his voice was sharp.

"They had caught up when I waited for her at the airport two months ago," Hoseok continued. "And they have had their eyes on her ever since; they even know where we live."

"And why exactly are you telling us this now?" Yoongi raised his eyebrow, "You could've waited until they have killed her too."

Hoseok was trying not to snap at him. Remembering that Yoongi is a short-tempered and aggressive type, he just shook his head while rubbing his neck.

"Don't beat yourself up over it. You hid her very well, even from us," Namjoon said. "I doubt I could recognize her if I saw her. You did your best; now you have to let us all help until everything goes back to normal. When are you planning on telling her about your parents?"

"Not any time soon," Hoseok replied. "It's a good thing we never liked them much, to begin with. I mean, you can't really love people that never gave birth to you. In a way, their death was a blessing. I doubt Y/N will suspect anything. They have barely called her a few times while she was in Japan for two years. Not hearing from them once in a few weeks won't be suspicious."

"If they really know where you live, then shouldn't she move to somewhere safe," Namjoon asked.

"I don't know. We can't make any sudden changes. We are not sure how much they know and what their plans may be. But killing our parents was just a dumb move. So they definitely think we would be highly affected by it."

"They were sending us a warning," Jin said.

"Exactly," Hoseok replied.

"Ahh... our wrongdoings are finally catching up to us," Namjoon shook his head.

"Be quiet, and act cool," Jin smiled politely, ultimately shifting his facial expression from deep thinking worried look to peaceful and diplomatic, "There are many influential and problematic people around here. We can't let anyone see us disturbed. That would be fatal."

"You are right, sorry. We shouldn't have started discussing this now...." Hoseok rubbed his temples before shifting his facial expression too.

This party wasn't just any party. It was a networking event filled with mafia bosses, businessmen, politicians, and other incognito people. Some of them being these young men.

No, they weren't the good type of criminals that you read about in stories. They and their groups kill and torture everyone they have to and don't care about it. They import drugs, run assassination gangs, and influence the government from the shadows.

No one knew who they are or what they do, at least not the broad public. However, they were definitely well-known in small circles, like this one.

"We shouldn't discuss, Jin. Finally, you said something smart. We should kill," Yoongi grinned, and his eyes sparkled.

He was always the problematic type. The one who just didn't know how to control his anger. He always looked the coolest, but his track record was the worst. If you have assumed he is an assassin, you would be right.

Before anyone could say anything to him, a thin older gentleman approached the group by patting Jin on the shoulder.

"Now, now," the old man started talking with a shaky voice, "Seokjin, I haven't seen you in ages. How proud must your father be to have you lead the Vice President's case!"

"Ah, mister president, it's a pleasure seeing you are still well and walking," Jin replied.

"I have indeed been assigned to lead the case, but I still haven't accepted it."

"Eh, that would be a shame. Refusing such a big career opportunity," the old president sighed.

"Unless you know that you can't win it righteously," the old man winked.

"Mister President, you should be careful with your words here; you never know who is listening," Namjoon replied.

"That's true, who knows, maybe I am the next on the list," the old man laughed while looking at Yoongi.

"Ah, gentlemen, cheers," he raised his glass with his old, boney, and wrinkled hand before nodding their head at the four young males and turning to leave.

"Oh, and one more thing," he paused his steps, "Hayley Williams once said: Sometimes it takes a good fall to really know where you stand. My condolences Mr. Jung. Or, should I pretend I don't know about that too?"

Everyone stood quietly as they watched the old president chuckled and moved farther away from them.

The death of the vice president last week wasn't a coincidence. And some people that shouldn't have known knew. The same goes for Hoseok's and Y/N's parents.

"Fuck this shit. This old guy should quit playing games unless he wants to be right next to his beloved vice president," Yoongi raged.

"I am not proud to say this, but I agree with Yoongi," Namjoon sighted.

Namjoon was quiet and diplomatic. When he couldn't solve problems and make deals with words, Yoongi would do it by force. They make a powerful combo.

"We don't have to worry about him," Jin replied, "We have power over him and his associates, they are on our side. He just loves to bicker like this."

"I hate old people," Hoseok rolled his eyes, "What was the quote again? Sometimes it takes a good fall to really know where you stand?" he laughed out loud.

"Namjoon, make sure to show him and the whole board and government where they stand. And kill the goddamn judge and anyone who would interfere with the case. I am not taking any chances here."

"I agree," Jin supported his partner in crime.

"Well, consider it done," Namjoon nodded, not wholly approving of Hoseok's decision, but he could understand.

Yoongi was finishing his glass of drink and getting another one: "Well, finally you realize that my way of doing things is always the good way! I'm done here."

He got up and started leaving. Public events were never his thing.

"We'll stay in touch," Namjoon said and followed Yoongi.

Jin nodded, and Hoseok slightly waved his hand toward the two males.

"Jin..." Hoseok said while looking at his glass of drink.

"About my sister. I know she's head over heels for you. I won't say anything. I would rather her be with you than someone else, especially now. But there is one thing. She can't find out about anything, and she can't get involved in anything."

"I understand that. But are you sure? Would you really rather her be with me?"

"I know you were never good to women before. But she was always with terrible men and in terrible circles of people. Unlike me, she is highkey a "bad problematic girl," but deep down, she isn't. It's just a facade. Be there for her. And if something is to ever happen to me, make sure to protect and provide for her."

Jin could see the deep worry on Hoseok's face. Too much has happened in less than two months, and at the moment, there wasn't much light at the end of the tunnel.

"Hey, don't say stupid shit like that. Nothing will happen, and if it does, she will be taken care of."

Jin patted Hoseok's shoulder playfully, making the younger one smile.

A/N: Hey there guys!

Sorry to keep you waiting for so long and thank you for being patient!

I am working hard to finish this book and I really hope you will like it.

Some of you may remember the first un-edited version, and for all of you, don't worry. I didn't change the plot at all. It's still the same as I have envisioned it the first time when writing, the only difference is the way in which I present the plot twists and how much is revealed.

Once again, thank you for understanding!

Loads of kisses <3
