"I love you, Daryl Dixon."
We're on Easy Street
And it feels so sweet
"You are amazing to me."
'Cause the world is but a treat
Right here on Easy Street
"You're everything to me, D."
And we're breaking out the good champagne
"I can't lose you, Daryl. I can't."
I'm sittin' pretty on a gravy train
"Haha, you're tickling me."
And when we sing, every sweet refrain repeats
"You gave my life a new meaning."
Right here on Easy Street
Daryl's eyes squinted as the door of his, as he described it, dungeon, opened. Standing in front of him was none other than Dwight. He threw a sandwich in Daryl's direction. Daryl had to eat it. He was hungry. It had been days since the Saviours separated him from his pregnant wife. He had to stay alive if he was going to get back to them.
"Make it easy on yourself." Dwight said as Daryl noticed him holding his crossbow.
"I ain't ever gonna kneel." Daryl said.
"See, I said that too." Dwight said.
"Yeah, I know." Daryl said before looking at his wedding ring.
"See, that's the thing, man. You don't. But you're gonna. You know why? Because you have a pregnant wife back at home. That's why. I gave in for my wife, Sherry. You give in and maybe...Negan will let you catch a glimpse of your wife and child. If not, you can kiss them goodbye." Dwight said before closing the door and leaving Daryl in the dark again, that stupid song blasting through the speakers again.
Daryl growled and got up, trying to find a way out of there. He couldn't stay here. He needed to be with his wife. Madelyn needed him.

Daryl heard the lock of his cell door make a noise and when he went to check it out, he realised the door was unlocked. Someone had purposely left the door unlocked, as if they wanted Daryl to escape. Daryl didn't know who it was and frankly, he had no interest in finding out. He just wanted to get out of there and get back to his wife. Daryl snuck out of his cell and down the dimly lit corridors until he found a door that led outside.
This was it.
Maybe Daryl could leave. Maybe it really was that easy. Or maybe not when he noticed a whole bunch of Saviours surround him once he got outside. Daryl wasn't scared though. Not like Rick was. Daryl was tough. He was able to take a lot more shit than most people.
Daryl then heard whistling, making him curse lightly to himself. He was so close to leaving but he failed and now, Negan had found him. He strolled towards him with that same leather jacket and baseball bat.
"Are we pissing our pants yet?" Negan asked Daryl but of course, he said nothing. Daryl had nothing to say to Negan. Negan wasn't worth his breath. Negan then pointed his bat to one of his Saviours. "Who are you?"
"Negan." The Saviour said.
"Who are you?" Negan asked, pointing to another Saviour.
"Negan." He said.
"Who are you?" Negan asked the entire group and they all responded the same. Negan. Negan then looked at Daryl. "You see that? I am everywhere and this was your shot to prove to me that that fundamental fact was sinking in, and you failed which sucks because your life was about to get so much cooler. Am I right?"
"Damn right." A Saviour said but Daryl again said nothing. He hated Negan with a passion. He made his wife suffer and one day, Daryl was going to make him pay.
"Now, Dwight gave you some options. I don't think you get it yet. So, I'm gonna break it down for you. You get three choices. One, you wind up on the spike and you work for me as a dead man. Two, you get out of your cell, you work for points, but you're gonna wish you were dead. Or three, you work for me, you get yourself a brand-new pair of shoes and you live like a king! You know what you get with that third option? I won't steal your wife. You can bring her here, she can live with you, you can raise your little family with her right here. I am offering you the chance to actually see your family again, to raise them like royalty. Choice seems pretty obvious to me. You should know, there is no door number four." Negan said but Daryl could think of one.
Door number four: Beat Negan to death with his own bat, kill all the Saviours and return to his family. Yeah, that sounded good.
"This is it. This is the only way." Negan said but Daryl still said nothing. He wasn't going to give in to Negan. He wasn't going to accept any of those offers. He wasn't going to bring his family here and make them live in fear of Negan. He was the enemy.
"Screw it." Negan said, going to hit Daryl with his bat when he stopped when he saw Daryl didn't even flinch. Daryl would rather die than take up one of Negan's offers. He would die if it made sure his wife and twins were safe. "Wow! You don't scare easy. I love that. But Lucille, well, it kind of pisses her off. She finds it to be disrespectful. Lucky for you, she's not feeling too thirsty today. But I am."
Daryl looked at Lucille and could remember the blood and flesh of Abraham and Glenn dripping off it, that same bat that was once bloody that was held dangerously close to Madelyn's head. It took everything in Daryl not to snatch that bat out of Negan's hands and bash his head in.
"So, I'm gonna go get me a drink." Negan said before walking off, leaving Daryl surrounded by the group of Saviours who dragged him back to his cell.

"Look at you. So perfect." Daryl muttered as he ran his finger down his wife's cheek. Madelyn blushed and bit her bottom lip slightly.
"Stop." She said, still blushing.
"I only speak the truth." Daryl said, his finger tracing the outline of her lips. Madelyn looked at him with her brown doe eyes, only pulling on Daryl's heart strings further. Perfect was the only word Daryl could use to describe his wife. "I love you."
"I love you too." Madelyn said before leaning in and kissing him. When they pulled away, Daryl found himself wanting more. He needed more. He closed the small gap between them, pulling Madelyn's body closer to his as his mouth captured hers. Daryl moved his hand down to her waist and-
The cell door opened, pulling Daryl out of his thoughts and once again, Dwight was stood in front of Daryl, holding a small sandwich to him. Daryl turned his head away. He wasn't going to give in to anything, not even to food.
"Eat." Dwight said, dropping the sandwich next to Daryl. "You got your friend killed. I got Tina killed. And don't pretend like you don't know the score."
Daryl growled and threw the sandwich at Dwight. He was not in the mood for a conversation with him. Dwight rolled his eyes and crouched down to Daryl.
"You should be dead. But Negan's taken a shine to you. You're lucky. You're still alive. You still have your wife. Don't forget." Dwight said before pulling out a polaroid picture of Glenn's beaten dead body which he stuck on the wall. "Bon appetite."
Dwight left and locked the cell door and Daryl turned his head and looked at the photo, his eyes filling with tears. He did that to Glenn. He remembered the look of devastation on Maggie's face, Rick's face, Madelyn's face. Glenn's death was on Daryl and he knew that. Daryl felt his chest grow heavy and he cried.
This was all his fault. He messed up.
