PAVO OCELLUS CHAPTER, ACT I, PART I
"Aether, Paimon, do you want to go to the library with me? I want to borrow some books for my research. We could grab a bite at Good Hunter later." You said before Aether immediately nodded.
"Ooohhh! Paimon wanna come." She said excitedly. "We should go now! Paimon want a Fisherman Toast." She said as she licked her lips.
Of course, she only cared about the food... You thought before heading to the library that was placed in the Knights of Favonius Headquarter.
As you entered the headquarter, you saw Kaeya who seems very in distress. "Kaeya seems frustrated about something. We should check up at him." Paimon said before you guys heading towards Kaeya.
"This is bad... Such a hassle... What am I going to do?" He mumbled as he paced back and forth.
"What's wrong, Kaeya?" Aether asked as Kaeya turned to your direction which he immediately looked he was saved.
"You don't usually lose your chill." You stated before he hugged you both which puzzled you two.
"Oh thank the Thousand Winds! Travelers, your arrival must be the grace of the gods!" Oh boy... Here we go again. Another quest that have to be done.
"If I may ask - envoy send by the Anemo God to save this mere mortal - could you spare a moment?" He asked as you sighed.
"Ewww.... cut it out!" Paimon said in disgust as Aether waited for you to answer him.
"Can't say we don't have time... Tell us what happened." You crossed your arms.
"Marvelous! I cannot let my peers know about this! I cannot seek help from anyone else but you." You are not looking forward for this quest at all.
You remembered when you first started this quest. You were immesurably disappointed by the fact he made up the stories and made you the work.
"Please, let us move to somewhere more fit for such conversations... Let's talk in the courtyard just outside the headquarters. Come with me." He said as you guys followed him to the courtyard as Paimon gave him a suspicious look.
"What's with the sneakiness..." She asked as you just shrugged before you guys found a very secluded place in the courtyard.
"This place will do." Paimon was already about to burst as she put her hands on her hips. You, who already know about the story just kept quiet about this.
"Tell us what about this already!" She shouted, clearly annoyed. You now wished that you have some sort of drink that you could drink. Like Starbucks drink or apple cider right now. Either would be good right now.
"How should I begin... Oh, right, let me tell you a secret first." You are just gonna stand here, pretending you don't know anything and you just don't exist in this scene.
"Don't worry, Paimon's lips are sealed." She said as she made a zipping gesture on her mouth. Aether gave her a doubtful look that she could keep a secret.
"As a matter of fact, your grandfather was a pirate." He said with such proud look on his face while disappointment hits on Paimon and Aether.
"Oh..." Paimon said with her arm crossed. You really want something to drink instead of standing there just listening to their conversation.
"... Wait, why do you sound blithe? Do you think I'm making it up?" Kaeya asked as all three of you nodded. "Look at my eyepatch! I inherited it from my grandfather and this is a solid proof that we are related." He pointed at his eyepatch.
You just don't buy his story since you already know pretty much almost everything about him. Not only him but all. You remember each of the characters backstory, each lines that they said, on every letter. That just show how obsessive you are towards this games.
"I never knew you could inherit eyepatches..." Aether said as you could see him worrying how Kaeya's eye under his eyepatch.
Kaeya turned to Aether. "My! Aether, how could you not know such common knowledge! This is no different from children inheriting hairstyle from their parents." Except for you.
You inherited none of your parents hair color or face. You were quite contrast from your parents. Not to mention, you developed some sort of mix American, British with a little Irish accent which is weird but people find your accent quite a charm.
You believed that most of your accents just come from the Youtubers and streamers that you watched during quarantine.
"Yesterday, I was glancing through the notes my grandfather left and stumbled upon records that spoke of a treasure..." Of course, this caught Paimon's attention.
"... Treasure?" Oh boy... Why did you even agreed in this? This is probably going to your one of regrets that you have done in life.
The more he said, the more Paimon seems to be convinced. With his smooth voice, you aren't surprised that he managed to put everyone in charm and believe whatever he said.
Though, of course, he can't fool you in anyway since you can read people easily, knows his story and of course with your fortune telling.
Speaking of which, you have yet to acquire the card that you needed. You might have to make one yourself though it will take eternity for it to complete.
"Kaeya! What kind of treasure is it? Gold? Or better yet, gems!?" Paimon has fallen right into his traps. Aether, however is still not convinced.
"Treasure that consist of nothing but gold and gems are third-rate treasures. My grandfather's treasure is a sword! A magic sword that grants the wielder unrivaled power!" You were clearly didn't show any reaction since you knew it was fact.
You glanced at Aether who seems to slowly trusting Kaeya's story. You just sighed as you listened to the story about his 'legendary' sword.
"Eight-headed hydras, silver haired banshees... do they really exist?" He questioned.
"The world we live in is fascinating, full of unknown and inexplicable wonders. These incredibly thrilling adventures are romances that could be told by pirates." You were clearly unimpressed but you just shrugged it off.
"Holy moly! That's just insane!" Paimon shrieked. Aether is still skeptical about this treasure but he just play along.
"A gang of Treasure Hoarders has been very active lately and many ruins have their relic stolen by them. I'm afraid that they will soon discover the Arcadian Ruins and the magic sword will be lost." Kaeya said in a very convincing worried tone.
Man could win the Oscar Award if he wanted to.
"We won't let this fall into the wrong hands! We must get the sword before them. You just rest assured that Paimon, Aether and Y/N are here to help." She said in excitement.
You could see the greeds in Paimon's eyes of wanting that sword for herself. You'll have to hear her cry later which is going to be quite the trouble.
Kaeya immediately smiled that he was glad that Paimon believed his story. "Great! Please keep this a secret. I'll wait for your good news." He said as he patted your shoulder before leaving out of your sight.
Paimon turned to you two with excitement in her eyes. "So watcha think? Isn't it exciting? We're talking about super duper powerful sword." Aether just looked very doubtful.
"Is it really, really true?" Aether asked before Paimon thought for a moment. You really wanted to say it isn't and go back to the library but this is quite important to the story so you had no choice but to let it play.
"Well... let's go to the Adventurers' Guild and see if we can find out more. The adventurers should know more about the ruins, right?" Paimon asked with a hopeful look on her face.

You guys already asked around with the adventurers and Paimon really can't keep a secret very well. You managed to get an Apple Cider on the go while going around asking.
"Oh, you're back. Do you have any news for me?" Kaeya asked as you shook your head.
"We asked around the Adventurers' Guild and found... Well, nothing." Paimon said in a frustration.
"Haha... Well that much is expected." He said which confused Paimon. You just sipped some Apple Cider just hearing their conversation before you noticed a figure, listening to the conversation.
"I sent someone to collect black market intel. It seems that someone does know about the Arcadians Ruins." Aether is slowly believing his story that this treasure might be real.
"Really? Where's the guy?" Paimon asked as she looked around to see where's the guy at.
"Now, now as per the black market rules, they will send someone to meet to prevent leaks. We will be meeting the informant at the Whispering Woods." Kaeya said.
"Then, what are we waiting for?" Paimon asked, seems to be very impatient.
"It's not ideal for Kaeya to show his face." Aether and you said simultaneously. You are used to playing the game and read Aether's dialogue. You also made many accounts in every different server so you already memorized the lines.
You were just calm about it while others seems to be quite astonished about that. "That's right. You two read my mind. I am knight... so I shouldn't have any dealing with any black market." Kaeya said as you sipped some more Apple Cider till it finished.
"We'll get the intel back to you." Aether said as Kaeya smirked at his face.
"You have my thanks. Of course, you'll be compensated for your troubles... by the Knights." Kaeya stated as you just threw the cup away from you.
Paimon just put a smile on her face as she said, "Ooh, no problemo." She said before you guys headed to the Whispering Woods.
