LEPUS CHAPTER, ACT I, PART I
Few days have passed for you, you still aren't customed to the way this world work and sometimes you forgot that you have powers to head one with enemy.
Living in this world certainly feel like a dream to you but there are times you wished that you only have to sit your ass at home not worrying much about monsters.
Though being able to go outside isn't something you thought you were going to enjoy. Probably it's because that this world hasn't been tainted with trash that enough to kill the nature.
Probably living this world better than going back to your dull dying world. You let out a sigh as you sat down under the tree near Cider Lake with dandelions surrounding you.
"Y/N! There you are!" You heard Paimon said as you turned around to see Aether and Paimon.
"You were looking for me?" You asked as you stood up and wiped of the dirt off your pants.
"Yeah! We just wondering if you want to grab a bite at Good Hunter?" Paimon asked as you looked at your wallet to see if you have enough Mora. You only have a couple of Mora which isn't even enough to buy salt.
You spent all your money on upgrading your weapon with the blacksmith, you somehow have the ability to level up and right now you are on level 10. Leveling up yourself is possible thanks to your phone in hand.
You still wondered how and why does your phone isn't dying on battery with solid 100% on them and why does it have the ability to do things like this.
"I don't have enough money to buy anything. I'll just cook myself some food." You said and was about to leave. Cooking in this world are much more simpler so you don't mind it.
"We'll treat you!" You immediately turned around with sparkles in your eyes. Aether just sighed as he nodded.
You immediately sat down and decided to order Tea Break Pancake. From what you heard, the pancakes is really fluffy and goes really well with a cup of tea so you can't wait to try.
"Paimon surprised you didn't order a Steak or Fisherman Toast like you usually do." Paimon said as you raised your eyebrows.
"Is it that weird that I want something sweet?" You questioned. You have heard from few people that you looked like the type to hate sweets.
"It's a little weird though to eat pancakes for lunch. Like wouldn't you usually go for savory things for lunch." Paimon stated as the food arrived.
"Back at my home, we call this brunch. Breakfast and lunch besides food is food. I don't really care as long as they are good." You shrugged before starting to dig in to the food.
The moment you began to chew on the pancake, it is so fluffy that it melted in your mouth and burst with flavor of berries. The berries however tasted like strawberry and raspberry mixed together. Strangely enough, it was lighter than the pancakes you used to eat.
In a blink of the eye, the food all gone which surprised Aether and Paimon. "It isn't even 5 minutes and you already finished?" Paimon asked, looked at you in disbelief.
"I was hungry. What you expect?" For some reason, Paimon immediately shivered before she shook her head.
"Nothing. You sure are full of surprises, Y/N." Paimon stated as Aether nodded. You noticed how elegant Aether eats while you, you're just a mess.
"Do you guys have anything to do after this?" You asked as they thought for awhile.
"No... not really. Also remember that in our agreement that you need a certain deck of cards. Maybe we could go on a search for those cards with the merchant." Aether said.
Ah yes... how could I forget about that? You nodded before saying, "Yeah sure. We could find but it's going to be a little hard and I'm worried it might not exist here at all." You were quite worried. Not any tarot card could do for you.
Since the one you learn are really unique, you do need a special type deck of cards for it. "We won't know if we never try." Paimon reassured you as you just gave them a short smile. "Let's finish our food quickly so we could find the cards faster."

"No... this is not the one either. Thank you for the offer anyway." You sighed as you crossed your arms. This might be a problem because you don't have any excuses to use if you happened to blurt out some information that crucial to the plot.
"Maybe we should search at that one souvenir shop? With Wind Comes Glory? Majorie said that she have all kind of unique treasure so perhaps she might have the deck of cards you're looking for." Paimon suggested.
You doubt she's going to have it but there's no harm asking. "Hey Travelers!" You heard someone calling you guys as you turned around.
You saw Amber waving her hand as you waved your hand back at her. "Hello Amber." You greeted her. Unusual to see Amber inside the city walls.
"I've been looking for you guys everywhere!" She said before you raised your eyebrows and wondering why she's looking for you guys everywhere. "How's that wind glider I gave you last time?"
Ahh... Yes we have a new quest unlocked. You thought. "Good. I never thought I enjoy gliding as much as I would." You answered her.
"Yeah.. It's pretty good." Aether added which led a smile on her face.
"Seems like it's growing on you! But then again you don't have a gliding license, do you?" You shook your head while Paimon looked confused as per usual.
"A gliding license? Hmm... What's that?" Paimon asked as Amber turned to Paimon.
"Isn't it obvious? You need a gliding license to legally glide in Mondstadt." You are a little confident with your gliding skills and knowledge.
"Oh... but Aether, Y/N and Paimon have gliding for ages now. This is the first we heard about it." Paimon stated. You were surprised that none of the knights stopped you and asked for gliding license.
"Yeah, you've been gliding all over the place... Everyone's noticed!" Amber exclaimed as Paimon and Aether scratched their head.
"Eh-he." You really want to shout on the top of your lungs 'Ehe te nandayo' but you don't have the energy and right now might not be a good situation anyway. "Sooo.... you came looking for us because you want to give us a gliding license?"
"I doubt that. Knights of Favonius have a strict rules, haven't they?" Paimon immediately looked really down but Aether however, looked so calm.
"Exactly. You need to pass an exam and only then the Knights of Favonius could issue your license." Amber explained. Not going to lie, you are pretty nervous.
Exams and quizzes always made you nervous. Even if it's on the easiest topic. "Today, me and Kaeya will be examiners. I will be overseeing Aether's official gliding license while Kaeya will be overseeing Y/N's." Your heart immediately is having a mix feeling of disappointment and relief which is strange.
You were disappointed not because of Kaeya did anything bad to you for the past few days staying here. He's fine and he sometimes treat you a glass of apple cider at Angel's Share but it's just that you're just worried that you are not be able to focus and failed miserably.
"Aether, you come with me at the the Cathedral. As for Y/N, you could meet up with him at the Knights of Favonius Headquarter at his office." Amber said as you just sighed.
I have to be mentally prepare for this.

You knocked softly on Kaeya's door. "Come in." He said as you opened the door. As soon as he saw you, his face become somewhat delighted to see you.
"We met again, pretty boy. I must say, you looked much more prettier with that hair style." He complimented you which cause slight pink dusted on your cheeks.
"Still can't handle the compliments, can you?" He chuckled before he did a gesture for you to sit. "Please sit down, going here with that amount of stairs must be tiring."
This is why he is a whole distraction. Let alone his voice also a distraction. You tried to keep yourself composed. "Thank you for the compliment, Captain Kaeya." You sat down as he put on his cocky smirk.
"No need to be so formal, pretty boy. Kaeya is just fine. Did Amber tell you that I'm going to examine you for gliding license and told you to come here or did you came here purely to see me?" He questioned.
"What if I said both?" You just realized that you accidentally said the first thing that came to your thought.
He was a little surprised by your answer since you gave him a little similar treatment like Diluc would but it's only because he is so sexy that makes you so frustrated by it.
"That was unexpected. I thought you hated my company." You immediately flinched at his statement. You started to think back what you did before you immediately apologize.
"Did I make you feel that way? I'm sorry... I didn't mean to but I really like it." You were genuinely feel guilty for it since you did have a reputation for being mean when you actually didn't mean to.
In Kaeya's eye however, you looked like a puppy who got scolded which made his heart skipped a beat. Oh boy, he couldn't handle your cuteness. "No, no, it's okay. You're good." He reassured you as his voice soften.
"R-really?" Your eyes shining which resembles a puppy that shot right his heart.
"Yeah, yeah. Don't worry about it." Kaeya said as he patted your head. Your face lighten up as you smiled not really caring about him patting your head.
Why is he too cute? God Barbatos can I keep him? Kaeya thought before he cleared his throat before trying to go back to what you were supposed to do.
"Anyways, please read this Knights' Gliding Manual before we start with the examination." He said as he handed you quite thick book. "Anything that was unclear to you, feel free to ask me. I'll be here and going through all these paperworks for your license."
So... I'm stuck with him... You gulped before internally cursing to yourself. Boy, you might not be reading at all and you might ended up staring at him a fat minute.

You sighed before closing the book. You glanced outside the window to just realized it was night outside. Time that passed here are quite fast than you expected. It should have took you an hour or two to finish this.
Not going to lie, you did ended up staring and glancing at him. He did noticed your staring and glancing and literally teased you which distracted you even more than you should.
"Oh, you're finished? Impressive... It usually took people 2 days to read that whole thing." Kaeya said as you put the book down.
"This is nothing really. I've read book that more thicker and complicated than this." You said as you shivered at the thought of your Math, Chemistry and Physics notebook. That notebook ended up looking like a spellbook.
"I never thought you were the type to read book." Kaeya stated.
"No, not really. I only read when I have to or if it took my interest." You said, started to remember all the Harry Potter and Percy Jackson books that you used to read.
That books and movies were ancient to the society you lived in and people already forgotten about that which sadden you a little when you thought about it.
"Since it's late, we should do the examination tomorrow. Shall I walk you back home?" Kaeya offered which made your brain fried for a moment.
This going to make the whole Kaeya fans in Mondstadt jealous since Kaeya, the Cavalry Captain walked home with you. You have met those Kaeya fans and they were really determined to be married with Kaeya.
You are definitely not the same as the fans. Definitely not.
Though, you are not going to let this opportunity get away. Who know this might just be a comatose dream and you must make most of it.
"Sure. It would be really nice to have someone to talk to while on the way home." You said calmly as he smiled.
"Great, if you want to, would you like to stop by to Angel's Share for a drink?" He asked but you don't drink but their apple cider should be non-alcoholic, right?
You are definitely not going to drink grape juice in front of him. "I'd love to." You replied with a smile.
"Splendid. Let's go." He said with a very friendly smile on his face. Now why you have a bad feeling about this?
