*Harry/narrator pov*
Nelly looked at me, confusion creasing her face. "You is gone very pale, Harry Potter. Is you ok? Nelly could make some tea if it would help, or... I is thinking there is some biscuits that we has, is you wanting one to help you feel better?"

"Um, no thanks, Nelly, I'm good, that's really nice of you to offer though." She beamed at the praise but persisted, clearly still worried.

"Is there anything Nelly can do for you, Harry Potter? Anything at all?"

Harry considered this. "I need to get to that address as soon as possible, I can't Apparate that far... would you be able to transport me there?"

"Nelly thinks so. Is Harry Potter sure he does not want a biscuit before he leaves?"

"Yes, thank you Nelly. I'm not really hungry anymore."

"If you is sure, Harry Potter. But I is having a biscuit. I is needing some more energy for this transportation business."

She took a tin off the shelf behind her, opened it and removed several biscuits; she was soon munching on a Canary Cream. Steam began once more to emerge from her ears as her face bunched up and a crease appeared between her eyebrows.

A crack split the air and suddenly I was on a street that was horribly familiar.

"Harry Potter, you does not look very well. I is insisting that you takes my chocolate digestive." Said Nelly firmly as she pressed one of her biscuits into his hand. At the iron will in her stare he hastily ate the biscuit, swallowing it in one go.

She glanced nervously up the street, to where number four was at the far end. "I is leaving you here, Harry Potter. I hopes you is finding your friend."

With another crack she was gone, disappeared into the darkening sky.

Harry finally made himself look in the direction of number four, though it made him sick to his stomach to think of it.

Snatches of memories came, unwelcome, into his head.

"Lazy, insolent boy-"

The crack of his cousin's Smeltings stick as it hit Harry over the head.

The cupboard door slamming shut and the familiar click that followed it.

Clutching his aching belly as he lay curled on the floor.

Harry squeezed his eyes shut tightly, trying to block out the memories. Don't be such a coward. Draco is all alone in there. He needs you. Don't abandon him because you're thinking about some dumb stuff your uncle used to do.

The Dursleys were long gone - so why should he care? Grow a pair, his subconscious scoffed.

Harry took a deep breath. For Draco, he could do this.

He took one step, and then another. For Draco.

A cry echoed across the street - a familiar cry that he knew very, very well and suddenly there were no thoughts in his mind. A calm settled over it like a layer of ice.

By the time he got to the front door, curses were already flying from his wand.

***

He felt like a storm; he felt like a force of nature.

There were two Death Eaters by the door that Harry recognised from the Prophet. Both slammed against the wall before they could even react.

The noise caused a cry of alarm from the next room, but Harry was ready. He dodged an Abada Kedavra sent his way by a blond man with frizzy hair and sent a Levicorpus in return. The man ducked, but not in time to avoid Harry's Body-Bind Curse. Harry didn't wait for him to hit the floor, he was already whirling with a shield charm to deflect a Cruciatus curse sent his way by a bald man with dark eyes and a long black beard. The curse rebounded and hit the man, who collapsed. The fifth and sixth people to enter, two dark-haired women who looked like twins, were more skilled than their predecessors, but Harry had soon cursed each, if with slightly more difficulty.

Now he moved through the hall, to the cupboard under the stairs.

It was open for the world to see. Still in there was his old blanket and the corner he used to curl up in at night; still on the ceiling was the plank he'd nailed in place himself after Dudley had jumped on the stairs so hard it had dislodged, falling on his head and knocking him out.

Something hit his shoulder from behind and knocked the air out of him: a chair, thrown at him by a wayward curse. He doubled over but turned, through a few petrificus totaluses in their general direction and heard a satisfying thud.

He glanced up at the scene before him, breath restored. Seven bodies now lay in various places in the hallway, one with a cut on his forehead that was seeping into Aunt Petunia's prized carpet. But Harry had far more pressing issues.

He climbed the stairs cautiously, before throwing open the door to Dudley's bedroom, wand outstretched. Nothing. The door to Dudley's second bedroom was next to it.

He crept up to the door. No sound, no sign of the cry from earlier. He saw the cat-flap on the bottom of the door, but this time he outright refused to let the memories overcome him, pushing them firmly out of his mind.

Hand on the door, he pushed, turning, wand out, ready to fire, and-

There- in the corner. The bed was gone, leaving the room bare, but in the corner was a small blond figure curled up against the wall.

He took a hesitant step forward, and a floorboard creaked. The figure flinched, curling up further.

"Draco?" Harry whispered, hardly daring to believe his eyes.

The blond head snapped bolt upright. Draco's eyes were wide with warning, shaking his head violently, eyes darting to his right- Harry was too late to block the Body-Bind curse as a man he recognised from the Christening emerged from the shadows, chuckling.

"Well, well, well. If it isn't Harry Potter."

*** I was tempted to end the chapter here... but as my early Easter gift to you all I'll continue it ***

*Draco pov*
What was that self-sacrificing idiot doing here, pitching himself against all these Death Eaters? What in Merlin's name had possessed him?

Davis leaned against the opposite wall, surveying the two of us.

"I don't believe we've been formally introduced. My name is Benedict Davis. Pleasure to meet you, Chosen One."

"Crucio," he added casually in my direction, as my flesh burned as if it was being melted off my bones. A small cry escaped me that I quickly stifled.

"But of course! You're also Draco's boyfriend. How rude of me." Davis said in a sickly sweet voice. My heart constricted. I watched Harry's pupils dilate in fear. I glanced at his immobile hand; the wand was still there. My breathing quickened, in fear and love and anger at Davis for daring to curse him and now was NOT the time for feelings so I conveniently ignored that second one and put it in a box for later.

The wand- if only I could get the wand, I might have a chance at defeating Davis-

The wand appeared in my right hand. Of course- when you're feeling strongly emotional you can do magic without a wand.

Not giving myself a chance to reconsider, I pointed Harry's wand at Davis. "Petrificus totalus!"

He went utterly still.

I approached him, shaking slightly at my victory.

Behind me, Harry had unfrozen. He was staring between Davis and me with awe on his face.

My voice came as I looked into Davis' eyes, and it was croaky and hoarse from screaming but it worked.

"Davis." I clenched my fists to stop then shaking. "This is now the second time I'm telling you. Would you please stay the fuck away from my boyfriend."
