"Hey, you alive in there?" The man on the radio asked. Rick quickly tried to get to the radio and bashed his head on the roof.

"Careful." Madelyn chuckled before she grabbed the radio. "Hello?"

"Oh, you're the wife?" The man asked.

"No, we just met." Madelyn said. "Where are you, outside?"

"Can you see us right now?" Rick asked.

"Yeah, I can see you." The man said. "You're surrounded by walkers. That's the bad news."

"There's good news?" Madelyn asked as she looked at Rick.

"No." The man said.

"Oh my god." Madelyn sighed as Rick took the radio.

"Listen, whoever you are, I don't mind telling you. I'm a little concerned in here." Rick said.

"Oh, man, you should see it from over here." The man said. "You'd be having a major freak out."

"Got any advice for us?" Rick asked.

"Yeah, I'd say make a run for it." The man said.

"That's it? 'Make a run for it'?" Madelyn asked, very confused. "We'll be eaten alive."

"My way's not as dumb as it sounds." The man said. "You've both got eyes on the outside here. There's one geek still up on the tank but the others have climbed down and joined the feeding frenzy where the horse went down. You with me so far?"

"So far." Rick said.

"Okay, the street on the other side of the tank is less crowded. If you both move now while they're distracted, you stand a chance." The man said. "You got ammo?"

"In that duffel bag I dropped out there, and guns." Rick said. "Can I get to it?"

"Forget the bag, okay? It's not an option." The man said. "What do you have on you?"

Madelyn and Rick looked around the tank where they found a grenade. "We're gonna need this." Madelyn said, making Rick nod before going back to the radio.

"We got a Beretta with one clip, fifteen rounds." Rick said into the radio.

"Make 'em count." The man said. "Jump off the right side of the tank, keep going in that direction. There's an alley up the street, maybe fifty yards. Be there."

"Wait, what's your name?" Madelyn asked.

"You're running out of time." The man said.

"Come on, we need to go." Rick said before grabbing a shovel, one for him and one for Madelyn. He opened the door of the tank and they both looked around, seeing a walker near them. Rick hit its head with the shovel, leaving it disfigured, making Madelyn gag slightly. "You okay?"

"Yeah, let's go." Madelyn said. The pair quickly climbed off the tank and ran, Rick shooting at the walkers and Madelyn hitting them with the shovel. When they made it to a chained up part of the alley, they found a guy. He was Asian and he wore a baseball cap, a colourful top and a bag on his back.

"Whoa, not dead! Come on." The man said when Rick held his gun up to him. The pair quickly followed the man to avoid the walkers. Rick carried on shooting the walkers as the three of them ran. They eventually made it to a ladder where the man began climbing it. "Quick!" The man yelled. Madelyn followed the man with Rick behind her as they all quickly climbed the ladder as the walkers drew closer. The three of them finally made it to a little balcony where they saw the alleyway now filled with walkers.

"You the new sheriff come riding in to clean up the town?" The man asked Rick.

"It wasn't my intention." Rick said.

"Yeah, whatever." The man said. "What about you? I see a wedding ring but you say this guy ain't your husband."

Everyone looked at Madelyn's hand which still had her wedding ring adorned on it. The man then looked at Madelyn's neck where he saw another ring on a chain.

"Yeah, he....you know." Madelyn said, holding onto the chain.

"Oh, I'm sorry." The man said.

"Don't worry about it. I'm Madelyn, by the way, and this is Rick. Thanks for the help." Madelyn said.

"I'm Glenn and you're welcome." Glenn said before looking down and seeing the walkers trying to climb the ladder. He looked around and saw another ladder leading to the roof of the building. "Bright side..it'll be the fall that kills us. I'm a glass half full kind of guy."

Glenn began climbing the next ladder with Madelyn and Rick following until they made it to the roof. "You're the one that barricaded the alley?" Rick asked Glenn as he led them away.

"Somebody did. I guess when the city got overrun." Glenn said. "Whoever did it was thinking, not many geeks get through."

"Back at the tank, why did you stick your neck out for us?" Madelyn asked as the three made it to a door on the roof and Glenn opened it. "You could've died."

"Call it foolish, naive, hope." Glenn said. "That if I'm ever that far up Shit Creek, that somebody might do the same for me."

"Well, you definitely got me now." Madelyn said, making Glenn smile before the three went through the door. The pair continued following Glenn before he pulled out a walkie talkie.

"I'm back. I got two guests and four geeks in the alley." He said. As the three climbed down the stairs, they stopped when they saw two or three walkers in front of them. Suddenly, two guys dressed in black protective gear came out with baseball bats and began beating the walkers, giving the three the chance to run. "Let's go!" Glenn said as the three ran for the door along with the other two guys.

When they all got inside, Rick was pulled aside by a blonde woman holding a gun to his head. "Son of a bitch. We ought to kill you." The woman growled.

"Just chill out, Andrea. Back off." One of the guys in the protective gear said.

"Come on, ease up." A dark skinned woman said.

"Ease up? You're kidding me, right?" Andrea asked. "We're dead because of these two."

"Andrea, I said back the hell off." The same guy said.

"Please." Madelyn said.

"Or pull the trigger." The man said.

Andrea sighed and turned away, making Madelyn sigh in relief. "We're dead, all of us." Andrea said. "Because of you two."

"I don't understand." Rick said.

"Look, we came into the city to scavenge supplies." A man said. "You know what the key to scavenging is? Surviving. You know the key to surviving? Sneaking in and out, tiptoeing. Not shooting up the streets like it's the O.K. Corral. Every geek for miles around heard you popping off rounds."

"You just rang the dinner bell." Andrea said as everyone looked at the store doors and saw walkers pressed against the glass, trying to get inside. "What the hell were you both doing out there anyways?"

"Trying to flag the helicopter." Rick said.

"Helicopter?" A man said. "Man, that's crap."

"There was a helicopter?" Madelyn asked Rick who nodded.

"No, you were chasing a hallucination, imagining things. It happens." The dark skinned woman said.

"No, I saw it." Rick said before they heard a gun shot.

"Oh no, is that Dixon?" The woman asked.

"What is that maniac doing?" Glenn asked as everyone raced to the roof.
