Floch.
Of all people to have the audacity, Floch....Levi was stunned to his core as he heard Novia speak his name with such shame in her sleep. He was the reason she had night terrors like this. He was the reason Novia distanced herself from everyone. The reason Novia could barely live with herself bow because of what he made her do. It was over for him....
Levi felt the immediate urge to leave and go have a word with Floch, but he couldn't. He needed Novia to wake up first and get more clarity on how it all went down.
"Novia wake up, c'mon." Levi shook her, not being as gentle as before. His patience was completely dissolved. He wasn't mad at her by any means, at most just annoyed he wasn't informed sooner....the thought of Floch living his life in peace while Novia suffered really dug under his skin, there was no more time for wasting. Novia's eyes slowly pride themselves open as reality came back into her view.
"W-where am I?" Novia looked around, realizing she was in Levi's bed as she rubbed her eyes....She gave a sigh of relief as she mentally answered her own question. She returned her gaze back to Levi, he looked so enraged that there might as well have been steam radiating from the top of his head.
"Captain... I'm sorry If I interrupted your work.. once in a while I get pretty bad nightmares." Novia said now sitting up, clueless to the fact she pretty much told Levi the overall culprit to what he needed to know.
He narrowed his cold eyes, frowning at her with his rigid face.. "Once in a while?" He scoffed as he repeated her words, the repulsing look on his face made Novia scoot back a bit. She was confused on why he was so angry. Was his work really that important? Did she interrupt something so crucial?
"Y-yeah I-"
"That's bullshit..... I know this happens to you every night Novia. And I know it's all because of Floch. Floch did this." He said cutting her off. Novia's eyes went wide as leaned down so her hair covered her face.
"H-how, did you know that?" She whispered, still avoiding to meet his gaze.
"I heard you screaming his name in your sleep Goddamnit!" Levi bellowed and Novia shot her face up eyeing him in terror. He stood up, running his hands through his hair, looking like he was debating about something. His eyes going in every direction possible.
"Just thinking about the endless stuff he did....and I couldn't do a thing about it..." Levi all of a sudden stopped, both feet nailed to the ground, he stood there for a split second. "You know what. Fuck this." He turned, and started stomping across the room opening the door that connected to his office. Oh fuck...he was leaving.
Novia shot up out of bed, faster than ever, chasing him... to stop him from doing whatever he was going to do. She sprinted in front of him, blocking the door from his office that led into the hallway.
"Levi, please stop...just let it go, okay. Please. It's over, I just want to forget about it." Novia begged hands spread across the door.
"Get out of the way Novia. This isn't something I can just let go." He growled.
"Why not? All I want is to never speak of it again." She probed, her pleading eyes desperate for him to stay with her.
"BECAUSE! Even if you say you want to let it go and move on, your body physically can't...and watching that, it's.....it's just tormenting to me!" He screamed at her. Novia took a small inhale, trying not let Levi's words strike at her core.
It was true though...her body would never feel the same, as much as she pushed and suppressed these feelings, they weren't going away anytime soon. The last thing she wanted was to burden anyone else by these conflicting physicality's, but it was evident Levi was already deeply disturbed.
"Still...I don't want you to do something you might regret later." She sighed, feeling drained from the fact she was even in this situation.
"Oh please...the last thing I would do is regret any pain I inflict onto Floch. Tell me right now how things even escalated to making you do stuff with him....Or I'll easily go through you and find out from Floch myself. Your choice." Levi narrowed his eyes. He had zero patience left for Novia at this point, the more time she wasted, the more he got pissed off.
Coincidentally, in that same moment, Eren was on his way back to his room from using the tubs. He carried a towel on his shoulder, using it to dry his now damp hair. As he was passing Levi's office, a delicate, soft voice made him stop in his tracks.
"Alright, I'll tell you..." he heard a muffled voice say in defeat....Novia. His mood suddenly got taken over by jealously. Why was she in the captains office so late? He moved closer to the door and put up his ear to the wall so he could get a better listen on their conversation, hoping Novia wasn't there for any suspicious intentions.
"Floch took Mikasa's scarf and hid it from everyone. He told me the only way I could get it back was if I slept with him.......so, I...well I did. I didn't really have any choice.." As Novia spoke these words she couldn't hold back her tears anymore, one by one they fell from her eyes. Her face heating with embarrassment as she cried in front of Captain Levi. She covered her face with two hands, ashamed.
Eren was gone now.
"Why didn't you just tell someone he had it?" Levi said in an insinuating tone, obviously referring to himself. Something about seeing Novia cry in front of him stuck a nerve in his body. ....He was annoyed by the fact that it was affecting him more than he thought. He shifted in discomfort as the unfamiliar feeling dwelled inside him. He waited for Novia to finish.
"He said he'd burn it before anyone knew it was him that took it...I didn't want to take that chance. I was scared Mikasa would lose the scarf Eren gave her forever." She bawled...
Novia's heart was in her throat and her legs gave out. She crumbled to the floor, breaking apart once again. Levi held his breath as he coldly eyed this once free spirited girl now wither into a traumatized disaster. Why couldn't he have been there in that moment? Things wouldn't have to be so messy for her if he was.
His own words contradicting himself in the moment.
*We can't save everyone.*
"You need to understand that burying that kind of thing under the rug won't solve the issue!" He barked, turning around as he angrily gripped the end of his desk, fighting the urge to lose control. Levi needed to keep his emotions in check.
"I know, but dragging people into this was the last thing I wanted.. the more reminded I am of it, the more I think you'll look at me differently too." She muffled through her hands. Her words made Levi take a deep sigh still facing away from her. The only different thing about her to him was the fact that she was a victim. Not the problem.
As Levi went to speak again, there was a persistent knock at his door.
"I'm busy, come back later!" He yelled, slightly turning his head to make sure the annoying knock would become silent. It only got louder.
Novia stood up right away, desperately rubbing her eyes to collect herself from crying. She moved out of the way so Levi could open the door. She didn't want whoever it was to see her.
Levi turned around fully now and swung open his office door dramatically.
Hange
"Not a good time Hange."
"Look I'm sorry to interrupt, obviously I wouldn't if it wasn't important." She said frantically.
"Oi...What is it?"
"it's Eren....I don't know what got into him.. but he broke into Floch's room like some mass murderer and is beating the shit out of him, we have to go now."
Levi's eyes went wide, it was too much of a coincidence for Eren to act out on Floch of all people right now. He definitely had a similar reasoning.
He eyed Novia sharply, she had made a big deal about "being reminded" of the situation and for Levi he had to drag it out of her...apparently she had no problem telling Jaeger. Why he chose right now to do something about it was still the question that lingered in the air... but he still wasn't overlooking the fact that She lied and would be punished later for it.
He pointed a malicious finger at her. "You're staying here....and we're having a serious chat as soon as I deal with this."
And with that, Levi left with Hange...leaving Novia in his office, confused.....and afraid.

A little shorter than I usually do, but I'm having some personal issues goin on right now.
