PROLOGUE, ACT I, PART V
You guys arrived at the temple which quite long, if you have to be honest. Somehow, it looks so much prettier up close to your eyes.
"You really are quite interesting one, pretty boy." Kaeya said before your brain tried to process his compliment completely. You immediately blushed before looking away.
Kaeya saw your reaction before giggling. "And your blushes look so cute." He smiled before your heart melted.
Yup, cue the internal gay panic noises. You thought before clearing your throat. "Just stop it. We have other things to focus on." You said before trying to calm yourself down.
"Yes, yes. I can't forgot my duty as the Knights of Favonius now, can I?" He remarked as his eye is on you. You tried to ignore him staring at you before you took a deep breath. You turned to the temple and just really hope you don't die inside there.
You were about to enter before he stopped you. "Wait, can you smell that?" He asked as he sniffed in the air.
You also began to sniff the air and smell a burning wood for some reason, it smell quite pleasant to you. You thought it might be a perfect time for you to drop a pickup line here though you just met him today. Well rather he just met you today.
You decided to keep it for later maybe in the future since this is not a good situation for that. "Smell of something burning? Yep." You answered with a hint of nervousness and embarrassment on your tone as he crossed his arm and looked a little worried.
"Something must has happened in the temple. I imagined there would be slimes, hilichurls, and... whatever giving Stormterror extra power. Oh yes, it's going to be lively in there indeed." Kaeya stated as he had that smirked on his face.
It's going to be fine. They don't have brains to suddenly surprised you. They are weak...
"It's just going to be disorderly mobs." You did not think that would come out to your mouth when you were thinking on trying to reassure yourselves. Kaeya was even more amused by your statement.
"Oh, ho-ho! You're quite the brave one, aren't you?" You just stayed silent, feeling embarrassed from the things you just said. Kaeya turned to the temple before looking quite disappointed. "Shame that the temple was disturbed by such of the atroscity. Let's head in, pretty boy."
He opened the door inside before you blushed. "Can you please stop calling me that? I have a name." You said with half embarrassment and half annoyed tone before he looked at you with his playful smile.
"Well no. I really do love seeing these cute reactions you are giving me, pretty boy." He teased as you cursed under your breath.
This whole clearing temple is going to be torturing for you.
You slowly entered the place with cautious before you saw Kaeya waiting for you next to the Door of Resurrection. "Let me show you how the Knights of Favonius conquer our advesaries." He said.
As you guys walking around, Kaeya was observing your surrounding before looking at tall building in the temple. "If I'm not mistaken, the end of the temple would be up there. Let's head there." Kaeya said as he lead you towards it.
"You sure do know your way around here." You looked around the temple before saw few hilichurls in a small pool.
"Experience. This is what happened when you have to deal with a lot of crazy stuff." He said before he spotted the hilichurl and jumped towards them before froze them.
You gulped before you also jumped into the fight. You put your palm out before create a vortex and threw them away as they shattered into pieces before faltered away. Kaeya looked at you in amusement as he smirked.
"I noticed that..." You turned to Kaeya and raised your eyebrows. "You don't have a Vision, do you, pretty boy?" He asked. Light pink started to shade on your cheek by his nickname.
"Well no, I don't." You said before continued heading towards the end of temple. Kaeya was a little surprise by your statement.
"How is it that you be able to use Elemental powers without one?" He questioned before you thought for a moment.
"Quite hard to explain and I just got to use them today." He was even more surprised by your answers.
"Aren't you an interesting one, pretty boy?" You just trying to keep your calm before as he froze the machine that shooting the fire while you busy defeating the slime without even swinging your sword.
Using the sword just hurt your shoulders to swing. Maybe you should consider being a catalyst.
You saw there was dead end at the road and felt slight breeze. "Seems the path ends here, let's use the wind currents to fly up." He began to open his wing glider and flew up gracefully, you followed him as well and flew up but you felt that you did not do it quite gracefully as he is.
You just sighed before landing at the land on top to see a giant door with that door opener thingy. Kaeya immediately put his hand inside the door opener thingy which activate it and opened the door.
You were amazed as you entered to see a large Pyro slime with that Hydro stone. "We could use that stone over there to put out the fire." You pointed at it.
"Such a keen observation you have. Maybe Jean should give you a title as a Knight." He said before jumping in to the Pyro slime and started to freeze it.
You immediately rushed next to you to break the stone with your kick which immediately froze the slime. You are amazed that the stone broke so easily.
You noticed there were slime surrounded you guys before you Kaeya used his Glacial Waltz which summons 3 icicles around him.
It fascinated you as you saw the slimes frozed. You took out your sword and decided to lend him a hand in defeating the slimes with one slash.
After defeating the slimes, you saw a treasure chest near it before you decided to quickly open it, by the time you picked up the item, it immediately disappeared from your hand.
You also felt like you gained some kind of knowledge by opening it. As you headed out from the room, you saw the underwater spikes. You confidently walked towards the water which for some reason, alarmed Kaeya.
As he saw you walking on the water nonchalantly made him felt dumbfounded. "You really are interesting, pretty boy." He marvelled at your ability before making an ice bridge for himself to cross.
You just ignored him as you waited for him to arrive. "Speaking of, did you know?" You turned to him as he made it next to you. "Stormterror was once one of the Four Winds. I'm not exactly sure of the details but if you are interested, you can ask the Acting Grand Master." He said as you two made your way.
You saw a glowing green light emitting from a room before pointing at it. "Do you think this could be the source of giving Dv- Stormterror power?" You asked just to make sure. Your knowledge of the early games are quite blurry so you need to be sure.
"Seems probable, let's deal with it." He said as you began to destroy it only by kicking it into pieces.
You never knew that your noodle legs were this strong if you have to be quite honest. You heard clapping as you looked at Kaeya.
"Bravo! What a performance! You are to my surprise, a well-trained knight. The battle you just fought was a sight to behold." Kaeya said with an impressed look on his face.
"It's not anything impressive. I don't have any experience on fighting up until now." You stated as Kaeya just smiled.
"Haha. I see you already have the modesty of a knight, pretty boy." He chuckled. "Stories of your heroic deeds to save Mondstadt from destruction shall be known throughout the City of Freedom, well into the future." He added.
You felt like you stole some light from Aether here as he is supposedly to be the true hero here instead of you.
"Please do visit me at the headquarter if you have the time. I also know a lovely tavern, if that's your thing." He said as you just smiled.
"Alright then, sure." You said cheerily as he began to wipe of the dust from his fur coat.
"Quite rewarding, no?" He asked as you looked away as you shoved your hands into your pocket.
"I guess so." You said, avoiding eye contact. You felt a vibration from your phone which scares the hell out of you.
"I'll take care of the rest here, you probably have other things to take care off." He said.
"To be quite honest with you, I don't have anything much to do and I am quite directionally challenged so... to put it simply, I don't know my way out." You said in embarrassment.
Kaeya raised his eyebrows before giggling. "Well, I guess you'll have to wait for me then."
Gosh, this is embarrassing. 18 years old but you still don't know which is left and right. You really need a map for every places you go so you don't get lost.
As to question how do you survive, you have never went out without having anyone have to hold your hand and stopped you from going all over the places.
To some people, it might be embarrassing to be seen holding hands with your parents but to you, it's a necessity in life so you aren't lost.
You saw Kaeya was in deep thinking before you saw an Abyss Mage appearing behind him as it laughing evilly.
You were about to go on an attack it before you saw a flaming red shooting at it. You immediately getting excited, knowing who it was.
The moment you blinked, the familiar red hair appeared in front of the Abyss Mage and you as he slammed it down to the floor. Before the Abyss Mage can even react, he rushed towards it and immediately did a front flip with his sword on fire and slashed the Abyss Mage which left it body on the ground.
"Knights of Favonius... Always so inefficient." You were fanboying inside your heart as you saw him.
That looked so cool to see him fight. "Agree to disagree. But your involvement in this just made it a whole lot interesting." Kaeya said Diluc glared at him.
You could feel the tension between the brothers so you decided to stay quiet. Diluc noticed your presence as he raised his eyebrows. As you made eye contact with him, you could felt the anguish and passion in his eyes.
You couldn't forget his backstory and about the Delusions. Come to think of it, how come your memory about the story become even blurry?
That weapon surely was a big role in the story but yet you seems to forget it... You stayed in your trains of thought while the two of them seems to argue like cat and dog at the background.
You soon to snap out of the thoughts as you heard your name was called.
"Also, meet Y/N. You might see him quite often. And Y/N, this is Master Diluc. Owner of the Dawn Winery." Kaeya introduced as Diluc just glared at him.
It's like he was telling Kaeya not to tell you that they were brothers. You already knew about it so it doesn't really shocked you.
He just stared at you silently before Kaeya immediately take your hand as he smiled. "Anyways, we're going to take our leave." He said as you followed him while trying not to screech from the top of your lungs when he held your hands.
