Flashback

In Arendelle, Elsa was hiding in the woods, sitting on a log with snow still falling around her.

Anna soon found her, "Elsa. Elsa," Anna said as she walked up to her.

"Please. I want to be alone," Elsa said.

"You have a sister. You're never gonna be alone... Other than when I'm not around. But even then, I'll be there in spirit. But that doesn't matter because I'm here now and you're not alone. And you know what I mean? And it's a nice thing. What was in the diary? You can tell me anything," Anna said.

"Turns out our parents didn't go off on some diplomatic mission like everyone thought. That was just a cover," Elsa said.

"For what?" Anna asked.

"Read it," Elsa said as she handed Anna their mother's journal.

Anna opened the journal and began reading, "I wish I didn't have to hide the truth from our children, but the truth would be too painful. What we've seen from Elsa is terrifying, and if has to be stopped," Anna said.

"They were scared of me. That's why they left... Because they thought I was a monster," Elsa said.

"No, no. I...I...I won't believe it," Anna crouched down and held her sister's hand, "I refuse to believe it," Anna said.

"It's all right there," Elsa said.

"Is it? Because it doesn't say where they were going or what they were doing. It could be a misunderstanding," Anna said.

"Anna, because of me, they left. Because of me, they can't walk you down the aisle tomorrow. I'm so sorry," Elsa said.

"You don't have to be. It's not your fault. You're not a monster. I don't think so, this whole kingdom doesn't think so, and for sure, our parents didn't think so. And I will prove it. The dairy is oy part of the story," Anna said.

"How do you know that?" Elsa asked.

"Because...Instinct?" Elsa looked at her in disbelief, "Okay. Right. That's not enough. But there are more answers out there about what happened to them... I know it. And I know who can help us find them," Anna said.

"Who?" Elsa asked.

"My future in-laws," Anna said with a smile.

End of Flashback

Emma, Alana and Neal were following the ice tracks down the street, towards a warehouse. Else was hiding behind some wooden crates and used her magic.

The twins brought out their guns and aimed at the snow circling before a giant snowman stood in front of them.

"Alright, that's a new one," Neal said, as he and the twins looked at it in shock.

Flashback

In Arendelle, Anna and Elsa walked through the village until they found the Rock Trolls.

"We shouldn't be here," Elsa said.

"Oh, they're practically family," Anna said.

"I meant you need to be planning your wedding," Elsa said.

"It's tomorrow. If there's still planning to do, I've horribly miscalculated," Anna said.

"You need to rest. It's a special day. You should enjoy it," Elsa said.

"I can't if my sister's upset," She looked towards the Rock Trolls, "Grand Pabbie? I know you're there. Why aren't you showing yourself? Grand Pabbie?" Anna called out.

A rock rolled over to them and unrolled itself to reveal Grand Pabbie, he looked at Anna, "Oh, it's bad luck to see the bride before the wedding," Grand Pabbie said.

"And since when have we ever been traditional?" Anna asked as she crouched down.

"What's wrong? Something happen? You have second thoughts? He won't smell like that forever," Grand Pabbie said.

"No. No. This isn't about Kristoff. It's about our parents," Anna gave him the journal and he looked at it, "What were they really doing on that voyage?" Anna asked.

"I'm sorry. I don't know," Grand Pabbie said.

"Thank you," Elsa took the book, "Come on. Let's go," Elsa said as Anna stood up and the two sisters turned to leave.

"Wait," They looked at him, "I may not know what they were doing, but I know where they were going. Days before their journey, your parents stopped by to say they were not going to the Northern Isles. And they had a few questions about a land called Misthaven," Grand Pabbie said.

"What did they want there?" Elsa asked.

"They never said. They, like many of us, had their secrets... Oh, I need my beauty sleep," Grand Pabbie said as he rolled back into a ball.

"We have an answer," Anna said as she turned to her sis.

"No, we have more questions," Elsa said as she looked back at her.

"We have one answer and more questions. That's a start. We have to go to Misthaven," Anna said.

"No, I can't just... Leave. I'm still the queen. I can't abandon the kingdom," Elsa said.

"You're just making excuses," Anna said.

"Have you forgotten your last dalliance... Hans? He and his twelve angry brothers are out there waiting to pounce at the first moment of weakness," Elsa said.

"Okay, good excuses, but still... Let me go alone. Give me two weeks. Misthaven is a short journey. Two weeks, and I'll be right back," Anna said.

"That's just what mother and father said," Elsa said as she shook her head and walked away.

End of Flashback

The giant snowman was standing in front of them, threatening the three of them.

"We don't want to pick a fight," Alana said.

"Lana..." Neal said as Alana cautiously walked forward.

"I just want to see what it wants," Alana said.

"GO AWAY!" The snowman yelled.

The snowman blew Alana away and she fell on top of Neal as Emma fell down to the floor. Alana's gun dropped to the ground and shot the snowman.

The snowman roared at them and the three of them got up, Neal grabbed Alana's hand and they ran off with the snowman chasing after them.

"Anyone got a plan?" Emma asked.

"Yeah, run," Alana said as they looked back at it.

"Evil snowman! Run!" Leroy yelled as he ran away, Alana and Emma rolled their eyes and sighed.

At the warehouse, Elsa slowly came out of her hiding place and she saw a newspaper flying towards her in the wind. She picked it up and saw the wedding announcement of Mr Gold and Belle. As she looked at the picture, she noticed something in the picture, Anna's necklace

Alana, Emma and Neal met up with Amy, Killian and David in the street as they watched the snowman.

"I think the noise is scaring it," Emma said and the snowman started to head into the forest.

"It's headed for the forest," Amy said.

In Regina's vault, she had taken Sydney out of the psychiatric ward in the hospital and to help her with the Marian situation.

"Her name is Marian. Thanks to the twins and Amy, she's back and recapturing that... Happy ending this book gave her," Regina said as she showed a picture int he storybook to Sydney.

"The book gave it to her?" Sydney asked.

"It's powerful. it's more than just a book. What happens inside it appears immutable. But I'm stronger. We're going to change things," Regina said.

"How?" Sydney asked.

"She needs to be removed," Regina said.

"Ah, that's where I come into this... Your murderous arm. I knew there was a reason that you kept me in that prison for all those years, waiting till I could be of service. I knew you hadn't forgot about me," Sydney said.

"Right," Regina said.

"How do you want me to kill her?" Sydney asked.

"I don't want you to do anything of the sort. If she shows up dead, how long do you think it would take before someone figured out I put you up to it? This requires a more elegant touch. I have to undo the twins' mistake. I have to go back in time before they arrived and kill Marian before she can be saved," Regina said.

"What I don't get is my purpose in all this?" Sydney said.

"Well, as queen, I sentenced many to death, captured many prisoners," Regina said.

"You don't remember this Marian," Sydney said.

"Well, she's awfully vanilla. Can you blame me? I need you to show me the exact moment I captured her so I know when to travel back to," Regina said.

"But how am I supposed to do that? In this world, I'm no longer the mirror with-," Sydney began to say.

Regina waved her hand and magically put Sydney back inside the mirror, "Now you are," Regina said.

Sydney began banging on the mirror, "No! No! No!" He yelled.

"Relax. It's just temporary... Now, help me," Regina said.

"Yes, your majesty," Sydney said.

"Mirror, mirror on the wall. Show me who I want to kill most of all," Regina said and Sydney showed Regina how she met Marian.

Marian was being questioned by the Queen, "Your Majesty, no!" Marian said.

"What is Snow White?" Marian doesn't respond, "She thinks silence is bravery, not stupidity. She dies tomorrow. Hurry her along. The stench of peasantry is overwhelming," The Evil Queen said as she started to walk to her carriage.

"I feel sorry for you," Marian said.

The Queen turned to you, "Do you?" The Evil Queen said.

"If you had a family of your own, if you had love, you'd know you shouldn't do this. You wouldn't have to be so cruel," Marian said.

"Don't you tell me what I do or don't understand. I know who I am and what I want. And right now..." She walked over to her and stroked her cheek, "It's your head on a spike," The Evil Queen said and walked over to her carriage.

"You're a monster! You're a monster!" Marian yelled.

Sydney stopped showing her the past as his face appeared in the mirror again. Regina's eyes were watery as she watched the scene.

"Was that what you were looking for?" Sydney asked.

"Exactly," Regina said.

Back in town, people were running from the snowman, while everyone was distracted by the snowman, Elsa took her chance to go to Mr Gold's shop.

In the Charming's family loft. Henry and Calla were in his arm, Calla was hugging her teddy, terrified as Henry held her close.

"I'm scared..." Calla said.

"I know, I know," Henry said as Calla hugged him.

"I want mommy and daddy," Calla said.

"They'll be back soon, I promise," They heard people screaming and Calla flinched curling up more into him, "It's okay, it's okay. They're going to be okay, I promise. They always are," Henry said.

Flashback

In Arendelle, Elsa walked into the stables looking for Anna, she looked around, "Kristoff. Where's Anna?" Sven grunted, "Don't be coy. Answer me," Elsa said.

"Easy, Sven. She can't help being bossy," Kristoff said.

"I'm not bossy, I'm the queen," Elsa said.

"Isn't that the queen's job, bossing people around?" Kristoff said.

"Don't change the subject, Kristoff. Where's Ann?" Elsa asked.

"Isn't she in the palace?" Kristoff questioned.

"If she were, would I be here?" Elsa said.

"uh, um... She had some... Errands to run. Um, we need more... Frosting... For the cake. Yeah, she was concerned we weren't gonna have enough. I tried to tell her it'd be fine, but what could I do? Brides perfectionists," Kristoff said.

"Frosting... There is no frosting," Elsa said.

"Exactly. She's taking care of that," Kristoff said.

"No, I mean that's a lie. Talk, reindeer man. What is going on here?" Elsa said.

"Wedding details. I'm just making sure..." Kristoff said.

"That she wasn't followed. You're trying to delay me," Elsa said.

"Do you want to see the floral arrangements?" Kristoff asked.

"Where did she go, Kristoff?...Misthaven?" Elsa asked.

"Okay, yes, but she's doing it for you," Kristoff admitted.

"When?" Elsa asked.

"She booked passage on a ship that's set to leave... Well, any moment now. Look, I'm sorry. I...I didn't mean to lie. I was just trying to help," Sven grunted and Kristoff looked at the reindeer, "Shh. Sven, I'm trying to apologise here, okay?" He turned around and saw Elsa had walked out of the stables then the reindeer grunted again, "Alright, Alright, Sven, I'm going... Elsa, wait!" Kristoff said as he ran out of the stables, after her.

End of Flashback

Alana, Neal, Emma, David, Amy and Killian were running through the woods towards Robin's camp.

"What is it?" Robin asked as he stood up, looking at them.

"Some kind of... Snow monster," David said.

"No monster shall cross out path. We'll give you our assist-," Robin began to say when they hear noises around them.

"It's getting closer," Neal said.

"It's coming from the north," Killian said.

The snowman approached the camp, "There!" Little John yelled and Little John aimed with his crossbow.

"No, no, no! Don't shoot!" Alana yelled, but Little John fired an arrow at the snowman.

"It only attacks when it feels threatened," Neal said.

"Okay... Pistol, sword... Hook, my cunning wit... I don't think we have what it takes," Killian said.

"The twins do," David said.

"What?" The twins said.

"Your magic, dears," Amy said.

"Why not yours?" Alana asked.

"Can't keep relying on people," Amy said.

"Right," They said.

"You two can do this," Neal said.

The twins raised their hands, they closed their eyes and their hands glowed white and two balls of light hit the snowman on its sides.

"Take that, frosty," Alana said.

The snowman roared and ice spikes grew from him instantly, "Really?" Emma said.

The snowman blew them all backwards, knocking them out. Marian took an arrow and fired the arrow at the snowman, but it attacked her, causing her to collapse on the ground.

Regina showed up, she looked at the snowman then kicked Amy's leg making her wake up, Amy stood up, "Hey, Gina," Amy said.

"Please..." The two women looked at her, "Help me. Please," Regina and Amy looked at each other before disappeared in two clouds of smoke, "No," Marian said.

As the snowman went to attack Marian, Regina appeared behind it as Amy appeared at the side both of them combined their magic and destroyed the snowman.

Amy and Regina walked up to each other, "You two saved me," Marian said.

The others woke up and they saw Regina and Amy standing there, "Marian!" Robin looked at Regina, "Regina. Are you alright?" Robin said.

"Yes," Marian turned to Regina and Amy, "Maybe you're both not monsters," Marian said.

"Maybe we're not. Welcome to Storybrooke, Marian," Regina said and she started to walk away.

"Regina," Emma followed her, "We've been trying to find you. We need to about..." Emma tried to say but Regina disappeared in a cloud of purple smoke.

Amy walked over to the remains of the snowman and she picked up some of the snow, "Hmm," Amy said.

Killian walked up to her, "What is it, love?" Killian asked.

"Someone created that snowman. This isn't over," Amy said as she looked at him.

"It never is, love," Killian said.

"I feel like I know this magic," Amy crouched down and her eyes glowed as she waved her hand over the snow, "Hmm... Maybe not... But it's similar," Amy said.

Alana stood up and dusted herself off as Neal walked up to her, "So, crisis averted," Neal said.

"If only that were true," Alana sighed, "It's never averted just paused," Alana said.

"All the more reason to enjoy the quiet moments, and right now... We have a quiet moment... Live in the moments, remember?" Neal said as he took hold of her hands.

"I know... I just... I just got to do something," Alana said.

"Right. Of course. Go ahead. Don't tell me you're not avoiding me anymore because I'm actually quite perceptive, and this... This is avoiding me," Neal said.

"No, I know. I am. I just feel... Right now, I just feel too... Awkward," Alana said.

"With Emma?" Neal asked.

Alana nodded, "Yeah... She was so upset last night Neal, I don't want to... Make her feel-," Alana said.

"Make me feel what?" They turned to see Emma, "Lonely? Awkward?" Emma said.

"Em..." Alana said.

"You've loved him ever since you met... Don't worry about me," Emma smiled, "I'm big enough to handle being upset without ruining your relationship like I ruined Regina's," Emma said.

"You didn't ruin anything... We did it together, you're not alone in that," Alana said.

"I know... Just... Just be happy," Emma said and walked away with David.

"Well, that's me told," Alana said.

Neal chuckled a little, "Yes, you were," He looked at her, "But I know this is more than just Emma being upset... What is it?" Neal asked and Alana leaned in and they kissed.

"Be patient, please," Alana said and followed her sister and father.

"I have all the time in the world. Unless... Another monster appears and kills me," Neal said.

Amy and Killian walked to him, "Want some advice, Bae?" Killian asked.

"No, but I'm pretty sure you're gonna give it anyway," Neal said.

Amy chuckled softly and linked her arm with Neal's, "Remind her, it's not just her and Emma... But you and Henry," Killian said.

"I know..." Neal said.

"But you're treating her like someone just you started out with... Not someone you have a child with," Killian said.

"What do you suggest I do?" Neal asked.

At Regina's office, Emma stood outside the office door, Emma tried to open the door but it was locked as Alana approached the door but kept her distance watching Emma.

"Regina, I know you're in there," Alana backed away and hid around the corner, "I can see the light's on," Emma said

"I know this is all... Complicated, but you can have happiness. I know it doesn't seem like it, but you..." Emma sighed and closed her eyes, "You just have to fight for it. Okay, if you won't, I will. Henry brought Ana and I to Storybrooke to bring back the happy endings. Our job's not done until we do that for everyone, including you," Emma said and waited a little bit before she walked away.

Alana looked at her and Emma smiled a little, "Em..." Alana said.

"I can do this," Emma said.

"Of course you can," Alana said, as they linked their arms and walked away.

Regina heard them leave and she stood up, walked over to the storybook then she turned to the mirror, "Mirror. Mirror? Sydney!" Regina said.

Sydney appeared in the mirror, "Y-Yes, Your Majesty. What can I do for you?" Sydney said.

"You can help me change fate," Regina said.

"I can probably tell you if you're wearing too much eye makeup, but change fate? That is beyond my powers of reflection," Sydney said.

"Your powers and mine together shall do it. This book is why I'm suffering, not Marian. Every story in it has one thing in common... The villains never get a happy ending, and it's always been right. I thought not being the villain would change things, but this book, these stories... Only see me one way," Regina said.

"So, what's your plan?" Sydney asked.

"Find the writer. We must find out who wrote this cursed tome and then force them to give me what I deserve. It's time to change the book. It's time for villains to get their happy endings," Regina said.

At the Charming's family loft, Alana was drinking cocoa as she was sat on the couch, looking out the window, fully aware her family was watching her.

"You know I know you're all watching me," Alana said as she looked at them.

"Mom, what's going on?" Henry asked.

"Nothing, kid, promise," Alana said and there was a knock at the door.

Emma walked to the door and she looked at Alana, "It's for you," Emma said.

Alana walked to the door and saw Neal stood there, "Neal?" Alana said.

"Hey, what do you say to dinner?" Neal asked.

"Uh... What?" Alana asked.

"Or drinks?" Alana looked at him confused as he rested his wrist on the doorframe, "I'm not being very good at this am I?" Neal said and slightly bit the inside of his lip.

"No," Emma said over Alana's shoulder, Alana and Neal looked at her, "I'm gonna... Go..." Emma said and walked over to their family, just to turn around and watch them.

"What... Uh..." Alana looked back at Neal, "What's going on?" Alana asked.

"Amy and Killian," Neal admitted.

"Ah... So, you're asking me to dinner or drinks because your sister and possibly brother-in-law told you to?" Alana said amused.

"No... Yes... Maybe..." Alana smiled, "No, definitely not," Neal said.

"Dad... You're failing," Henry said as he chuckled with Emma.

"Thanks, bud," Neal said.

"Neal, I...I can't, we need to figure out who created that snowman," Alana said.

"Right... I get it," Neal said.

"Another time?" Alana said.

"Sure," Neal looked at Henry, "See ya, bud," Neal said and walked away.

Alana watched him leave and she shut the door, she sighed and walked upstairs into her room. Henry followed after her as the Charming couple and eldest Charming child stayed in the kitchen.

"Mom?" Henry walked up to Alana who looked at him, "What's going on?" Henry asked as he sat on the bed.

Alana sighed, "Nothing," Alana said.

"We promised no more secrets," Henry said.

Alana looked at him and nodded, "You're right... You're right no more secrets... I love your dad but..." She looked away, "I'm scared, if I let him in too fast...H...He'll go again," Alana said.

"Why don't you tell him that?" Henry asked.

"When I'm with him... I don't feel me... Well, I do... I feel more myself than I've ever felt... But I feel like a teenager, who I was, not who I am... I feel like everything's rushed from getting back together to... I don't know," Alana said.

"Is this... Is this because I looked for apartments for the three of us? Did I rush?" Henry asked.

"No... No. It's not that... M...Maybe a little, but it's normal for you to want that, to want your parents together and to be with them," Alana placed her hand on his cheek and smiled, "This isn't about that, but how I feel in myself," Alana said.

"Oh, I didn't want you to see like I pushing you two," Henry said.

"Of course not," Alana kissed his head, "Never, it's normal and it's okay," Alana said.

Later at night, Mr Gold and Belle were at an abandoned manor for their honeymoon. During the day when Belle was showing Mr Gold around, he found a circular box with stars on it.

Belle was asleep, as Mr Gold took his dagger out of her bag and walked to where he saw the box. He waved his dagger over the box and a magical hat appeared, it flowers and it looked like a galaxy for decor.

Elsewhere, Elsa walked back to the pawnshop, she used her ice magic to unlock the door, she walked in and saw the snowflake necklace that she gave to Anna.

Flashback

In Arendelle, Elsa walked along the docks as Kristoff followed after her.

"Elsa! Wait! It's too late," Kristoff said.

"We have to go after her," Elsa said.

"No," Kristoff said.

Elsa looked at him, "Are you really saying 'no' to your queen?" Elsa asked.

"I'm saying no to my future sister," Elsa raised her brows, "In-law. For good reason. We both love Anna. We both know her. She will be fine," Kristoff said.

"She didn't have to do this alone," Elsa said.

"Yes, she did. You told Anna and you're right... You're the Queen. We all remember what happened the last time you left," Kristoff said.

"Why didn't you go with her?" Elsa asked as they looked out to a ship that was sailing away.

"She didn't want me to. She thought I was needed here," Kristoff said.

"For what?" Elsa asked.

"She didn't want you to be alone. She'll be fine. I believe in her. You should too. Because she doesn't give up on the people she loves. And she always succeeds," Kristoff said.

"She also sometimes acts before she thinks. This place could be dangerous. What do we even know about this... Misthaven? How have I never heard of it," Elsa said.

"You might know it better by what the inhabitants call it," Kristoff said.

"What's that?" Elsa asked.

"The Enchanted Forest," Kristoff said as they watched the boat Anna was on, heading towards the Enchanted Forest.

End of Flashback

Elsa found the snowflake necklace, it was ruined as she held it in her hands, "Don't worry, Anna. I will find you," Elsa said.
