Y/N's P.O.V
After Ross leaves we all go to the living room and debate what to do about the accords.
Rhodey: Secretary Ross a metal of honour, which is one more than you have.
Sam: So let's say we agree to this. How long we got before they start LoJack us like a bunch of common criminals?
Rhodey: Hundred and seventeen countries what to sign this. Hundred and seventeen Sam, and you just like "No, that's cool. Wo got it."
I then decide to speak up.
Y/N: Alright, Rhodey I've gotta ask, how long are you gonna keep playing both sides for?
He was about to reply when Vision speaks up.
Vision: I have an equation.
Sam: Oh, well this'll clear it up.
Vision goes on to explain how the strength and enhanced abilities we have invites challege from other people and that brings conflict which brings catastrophe.
Rhodey: Boom.
Sam and I shake our heads.
Natasha: Tony, you're being uncharacteristically non-hyperverbal.
Steve: It's because he's already made up his mind.
Tony: Oh, you know me so well. I'm actually nursing a headache. That's all it is Cap, pain and discomfort.
Tony goes up to get a cup of coffee then he pulls put his phone and shows us an image of a young guy.
Tony: Oh, that's Charles Spencer by the way. He's a great kid. Computer engineering degree, 3.6 GPA and had a floor level gig at Intel planned for the fall. But he wanted to put a few miles on his soul, before he parked it behind a desk. See the world. Maybe be of service. Charlie didn’t go to Vegas or Amsterdam like I would have. No he decided to spend his summer building housing for people in Sokovia.
We all look down realising that Charles Spencer was there the day we fought Ultron.
Tony: I guess he wanted to make a difference, but I guess we'll never know as we dropped a building on him whilst we were kicking ass.
Tony then moves towards us.
Tony: We need to be put in check and whatever form that takes I'm game. If we can accept limitations, if we're boundary-less than we're no better than the bad guys.
Steve: Tony, if someone dies on your watch you don't give up.
Tony: Who says we're giving up?
Steve: We are if we're not taking responsibility for our actions. This document just shifts the blame.
Rhodey: I'm sorry Steve, but that's dangerously arrogant. This the UN we're talking about it's not S.H.I.E.L.D, it's not HYDRA.
I then look to Rhodey.
Y/N: Yeah, but Rhodey, this thing, this document its run by people with agendas and agendas can always change.
Tony then walks closer.
Tony: That's good. When I found out what my weapons were capable of in the wrong hands, I shut it down and stopped manufacturing.
I look to Tony.
Y/N: But Tony you chose to do that. We sign this we surrender our right to choose.
Steve looks to me then back to Tony.
Steve: Y/N's right. What if this panel sends us somewhere we don't wanna go? What if there's somewhere we need to go and they don't let us? We may not be perfect but the safest hands are still our own.
Y/N: Damn right.
Tony: If we don't do this now, it's gonna happen to us later.
Wanda: You mean they'd come for me.
I look to Wanda.
Y/N: Over my dead body.
Natasha: Maybe Tony's right.
I look at her in shock.
Natasha: Look we've made so public mistakes and maybe this is how we earn the people's trust back.
Sam: Aren't you the woman who told the government to kiss her ass a couple years back?
Y/N: I can't believe I'm hearing this right now.
Natasha: Look I'm reading the terrain.
Tony: Hold on focus up, I coulda sworn you just agreed with me.
Natasha: Oh believe me I wanna take it back.
Tony: No, no you can't retract it. Okay, cased close. I win.
Y/N: Look Tony you maybe conformable being the government's bitch, but I'm not. So I ain't signing that.
I then look down a see Steve has an upset look on his face.
Steve: I'll be back in a minute.
He puts down the document and walks out of the room.
Everyone looks to me.
Y/N: I'll go talk to him.
I follow Steve's path and find him at the bottom of the stairs. I go down to him.
Y/N: Steve, what's wrong?
He shows me his phone and when I see the text I know it's talking about Peggy Carter.
Y/N: Oh god. I'm so sorry Steve.
I pull Steve into a hug.
(Three days later)
(London)
Three days after finding out Peggy Carter was dead Sam and I went with Steve to London for the funeral.
After the funeral was over Steve went with Sharon Carter, Peggy's niece, whilst Sam and I went back to the hotel.
Whilst in our hotel room Sam and I see a news report about a bombing in Vienna.
I go down to the lobby of the hotel and find Steve and Sharon talking.
Y/N: Hey, Steve.
They both look at me.
Y/N: You might wanna see this.
We go up to the hotel room and watch the news report again. We also then find out that the King of Wakanda was killed and, they believe this crime was committed by the Winter Soldier.
I couldn't believe and Sam, Steve and I look at each other in shock as we had being looking for my dad for two years and he's now finally appear.
(Five hours later)
After hours of trying I finally get through to mum.
Natasha: Yeah?
Y/N: Mum! Thank god. Are you alright?
Natasha: Yeah baby boy I'm okay, just a few scratches.
Y/N: Okay, good.
Natasha: Y/N, look, I know how much you wanna get your dad back. I really do. But you and Steve need to stay away from this, you'll only make things worse.
Y/N: Are you saying you're gonna arrest me?
Natasha: No of course not, but someone else will if you get involved. That's how it works now.
Y/N: He's this far gone mum, Steve and I should be the ones to bring him back.
Natasha: Why?
Y/N: Because we're the ones who are least likely to die trying.
I hang up the phone and go over and join Steve and Sam.
Sam: She tell you to stay out of it?
Y/N: Yeah, and it goes for me and Steve.
Sam: Well, she may have a point.
Steve: He'd do it for me and Y/N.
Sam: Yeah he'd do it for you back in 1945. I just want us to consider other options, because the people who shoot at you guys usual wind up shooting at me too.
We then see Sharon come over and stand next to us.
Sharon: Tips have been flooding in since the footage went public. Most of its just noise, except for this.
She hands Steve a folder.
Sharon: You might want to hurry though. We've been ordered to shoot on sight.
Steve looks at me and hands me the folder.
Steve: He's your dad Y/N, so it's your call. What do you wanna do?
I look at the pages inside the folder for a moment and close it.
Y/N: Let's get him before the government does.
Steve and Sam nod and we head to Bucharest to find my dad.
