I looked down at Dave, as he was knocked out cold on the floor. I felt really bad for what happened. My head pushed all those thoughts away as I snapped back into reality. I carried Dave up the stairs and laid him on the bed. There were bruises all over him.
As carefully as possible, I undressed him and changed him into his pajamas. He is really heavy when he's passed out, so it was difficult. After he was into PJs, I pulled the covers over us and cuddled him.
