Christmas Time

Well hello, my lovely readers! I'm so sorry this took me so long to post, I meant to post this at Christmas time. I forgot how hard writing truly is, especially when you're a busy adult! I originally wrote Secret Desire when I was young and had all the time in the world to write. I've found it more and more difficult through the years to find time to sit down and write anything really. I wanted this to be much longer with more details but it's already taken me forever and a day to write what I've got. I do have to say, it was fun diving back into this world I created and reconnect with some of my favorite characters. I just wanted to give you guys something a little fun to read, especially for those who have asked for a sequel, to show that I do appreciate all of you for investing your time and energy into reading my work. Its mind blowing to still receive so many new, positive comments on both Secret Desire and Tainted Fantasy, even so many years after I've published them on here! Thank you guys so so much!

As always, ENJOY! :)

Secret Desire: A Christmas special

"Wake up, beautiful." A husky, distinct voice whispered into my ear. I groaned quietly, being pulled out of a sweet dream.

"I'm not sleeping." I informed the owner of the voice. He chuckled quietly in my ear. We don't sleep but we dream and it's close enough for our kind. A soft kiss was placed on my neck, causing my eyes to flutter open. His piercing blue eyes were watching me intensely.

"I'm going to attack you." He smiled slyly at me.

In a flash I had him pinned beneath me, catching his arms as they reached for my waist. I leaned over him, my long wavy black hair enveloping his face. He wrinkled his nose, trying not to crack from the soft tickle of my hair.

"As you were saying?" I teased, hovering my lips above his. He broke his arms free from my grasp, entangling his hands into my hair and closed the distance between our lips.

A loud banging on our door caused Kale to stop the kiss prematurely. He knocked his forehead against mine with a groan. The interrupter didn't wait for a response and the door came bursting open.

"MERRY CHRISTMAS! I hope you're both decent!" Nathan came bouncing in, his big golden eyes full of excitement. He jumped into the bed, climbing between us. Even though he looked like he was in his 20's, he was actually only 10 years old. This time of year really made his true age shine through.

"Nathan..." Kale warned between his teeth.

Nathan stretched, putting his arms around both of us.

"You cant be grumpy today! It's Christmas!" Nathan tsked at Kale.

"He's right." I nodded in agreement.

"Jamie," Kale sighed in protest.

"Nope. We promised we'd spend the whole weekend with everyone." I reminded him. Which was exactly why we had woken up in Jake's old room in the basement of Jason and Anya's home.

"Hah!" Nathan snorted out a laugh. It wasn't too often I disagreed with Kale. Nathan really enjoyed when I did. "Come on! Mom, sent me down to get you two. Breakfast is almost ready!" He jumped back out of our bed, landing across the room by the open door in one quick, smooth motion.

"We don't even--"

"Kalsaban..." I interrupted him, kissing his lips gently. "We'll be up in a minute." I told Nathan, keeping my eyes locked on Kale's blue gems. From the corner of my eye I saw Nathan shake his head with a shiver of disgust from having to see us kiss. I held back a laugh, trying to keep my gaze stern.

"Dad says five minutes or he'll come down himself." He seemed to warn us as he finally scampered out of the room.

Kale rolled his eyes. But then he looked back into mine, his annoyed expression softening.

"I'm doing this for you, you know." He reminded me quietly, brushing a lock of my hair from my face.

This was the first year I had finally agreed to go on a trip with Kale out of the country, away from the family for Christmas. He had everything planned out but then a couple months ago Melissa and Jake broke up. They fought constantly over her diet, which consisted of werewolf blood. Mine and Jake's best friend, Shane was in fact a werewolf. She tried at first to quit but it seemed that werewolf blood had too much power over her. Their differences became too much.

After the breakup, that's when Jake disappeared. He called me soon after and told me he needed a break from everything, and also from everyone. My stomach clenched at the memory. The way he had mumbled the word everyone, I thought maybe he meant Melissa but she too disappeared. I knew deep down who he really meant was me. I took it pretty hard to say the least. He still texts me every couple of days, to assure me he's doing well but he refuses to answer any of my phone calls.

After that, with Shane being somewhere in Europe and Jacob being who knows where now, all I wanted to do was spend as much time with what remained of our little mixed family. I couldn't lose anyone else, it felt like a part of myself was missing.

"Yes, and I love you for it. It means everything to me, Kale." I told him as his hand stroked my cheek.

"You mean everything to me, my Jamie." He told me lovingly, kissing me as deeply as the very first time we had kissed. "Now get dressed, beautiful, before the wolves descend on us." He sighed, but smiled at me handsomely.

I smiled back at him as he flashed away from me, getting dressed. My eyes drifted over to my phone on the bedside table. I took it, sending a single message to a group chat named "my loves"

"Merry Christmas, boys. I love you forever."

The message sent successfully to the two contacts; Jacob and Shane.

I decided to wear back leggings, a light grey sweater dress and some matching knee high boots. I eyed Kale. He looked handsome as always wearing dark jeans and a dark grey v-neck which showed off his muscular physique well. Once we were both dressed, we headed up the stairs where there were multiple voices chatting excitedly. It definitely sounded like a party was taking place. Kale opened the basement door where the smell of pumpkin, cinnamon, and coffee instantly hit us. To be perfectly honest, it smelt delicious.

"Good morning, love birds." Jason greeted us, pulling out a tray of cinnamon rolls from the oven as we walked into the kitchen. There were four trays of already made rolls sitting on the island. All 11of Jason and Anya's pack members were in the kitchen, some were sitting at their very large family sized oak table chatting patiently while a couple others were standing near the island eyeing the cinnamon rolls hungrily.

"Good morning, Jason! Merry Christmas!" I greeted back, kissing his cheek.

Anya turned around from getting some very heavy looking plates out of thecupboard and smiled at us brightly. Her eyes flickered over to the island, a scowl now appeared on her face.

"Allontanati da quello!" She scolded as one of the boys tried to sneak a cinnamon roll from the tray.

"Oh andiamo." He seemed to complain.

She rolled her eyes at him, holding the plates out to him.

"Make yourself busy and set the table." She turned to the others as he took the plates with a sigh. "Shoo all of you, it'll be done in a minute."

The other two muttered a couple things in Italian but followed their pack member over to the table to join the rest of them.

"Merry Christmas, dolcetto." Anya turned to me now, smiling beautifully once again. She kissed my cheek. "Merry Christmas, Kale." She kissed his cheek as well.

"Merry Christmas, Anya. Would you like some help?" Kale asked, gesturing towards the piles of eggs and bacon sitting on the stove.

"Yes! Thank you." Anya responded, sounding surprised. Nathan must have told them how grumpy he was being. She handed him the large platter of bacon and the equally large platter of scrambled eggs. Then she grabbed two large carafes of coffee and orange juice as Jason followed behind them with four of the five trays of cinnamon rolls. I couldn't help but to feel relieved that Kale had lightened his mood up.

"WOW, Kale, I'm so glad you're serving me this morning!" Nathan taunted him from the table. Kale set the plates down and quickly pulled Nathan into a head lock.

"MOM!" Nathan cried out instantly as Kale wrestled him off his chair and began rubbing his fist fiercely against the top of his head.

Anya sat down and poured herself a cup of coffee.

"Kale gets to enjoy Christmas too, Nathan." She told him, taking a sip of the hot liquid.

"DAD!" Nathan grunted, trying to wrestle out of Kale's hold.

"Listen to your mother, my boy." Jason told him casually as he piled food onto his plate.

The other pack members laughed, beginning to chat excitedly again as they dug into their morning feast. I watched them in amusement for a moment, just taking in all the love that was filling up in this room already. I began to walk over to join them when the door bell rang.

"Oh! No, you guys keep eating, I'll get it." I told them as Jason and a couple others set their forks down to go answer the door.

I flashed to the front door, realizing it was still dark out. I glanced over at the father clock ticking in the living room by the fireplace, 4 am. Normal hours were not really our thing. As I opened the front door a curly haired blonde with big innocent brown eyes stood before me holding a pile of presents in her hands.

"Jamie!" She flashed a warm smile at me.

"Anabelle! You made it!"

"Merry Christmas!" She grinned at me. It still caught me off guard how much more beautiful she is since beginning her relationship with William over 10 years ago.

"Let me help you," I gestured toward the gifts over flowing in her hands. She handed some over as we walked toward the living room where the over sized Christmas tree was well lit up and decorated. I forced Kale to come over with me to help them decorate it towards the end of November. I really couldn't get enough of family time lately, have I mentioned this?

"How are you? Where have you guys been traveling to lately? Was it far? Will you be leaving again soon? Are you--" I began asking her a burst of questions unable to help myself as we placed the presents under the tree. I stopped abruptly, realizing she had arrived alone. "W-where's William?" My tone became heavy with anxiety.

Anabelle stood, pulling me up with her. She placed her delicate hands on my shoulders and took an obvious deep breath. Then another one. Then another. And soon I was doing the same. After a minute she let out another breath with a warm smile.

"William will be here soon. We have the whole weekend to catch up. Just relax, Jamie." She told me soothingly.

"O-okay" I agreed meekly.

Anabelle took another deep breath. "Oh, it smells like Christmas." She observed cheerfully.

I breathed out a laugh.

"Well, come on, lets go sip on some pumpkin spiced coffee, for old times sake." I suggested, hooking my arm through hers.

"To be honest," She began slowly. "That sounds incredible." She sighed dreamily.

We both began giggling as we made our way into the noisy kitchen. When we entered, Kale and Nathan had moved from the dining table, into the middle of the kitchen. They of course, were still wrestling.

"Goodness!" Anabelle laughed seeing the pair. Nathan suddenly froze beneath Kale, his eyes widened up at us, his whole body went instantly red beneath his tan toned skin.

"An-Anabelle!" Nathan's voice squeaked out in surprise, riling up a whole new round of laughter from the rest of the pack.

"Little pup's crush is here." One of the boys remarked. "What did they call it again?"

"Ah, puppy love" A few of them chorused at the same time, continuing to laugh.

Kale hopped off Nathan, stretching as if he was waking from a long nap rather than terrorizing poor Nathan. Anabelle held her hand out towards Nathan. He took her hand timidly as she pulled him to his feet. He turned a deeper shade of red when she pulled him into a hug.

"I missed you, pup." She told him sweetly.

"I-uh—Too, me, I did. Also. You." He muttered, obviously tongue tied.

Anabelle laughed giving Nathan one last squeeze before letting him go. Nathan sucked in a deep breath, looking flustered, his face flushed with a deep blush.

"I got you a gift. Something special from Greece, it's under the tree." Anabelle winked at Nathan.

He sucked in a breath of surprise. "Really?!"

She nodded at him. It shouldn't have surprised Nathan, all of us bought him gifts, every year, for every occasion. But getting one from Anabelle was really special to him. Nathan started for the living room but Anya quickly grabbed him by his ear.

"You will eat breakfast first and help me and your father start dinner."

"Ahh, mom" He whined at her. She shook her head and motioned for him to go eat.

"Besides, we're still waiting for William before we open presents." I told him. He sighed, slinking over to his abandoned plate of food.

As I thought about William again I absent-mindedly checked my phone, which I had placed on the charger at the corner counter by the fridge. The message I had sent to mine, Shane and Jacob's group chat was still left unread. That was almost an hour ago. And I had nothing from William, only one from Anabelle that just said "OMW" and that was right before she showed up.

"What's wrong?" Kale asked, coming up behind me, snaking his arms around my waist. I leaned into him as he peaked over my shoulder.

He sighed into my ear, creating goose bumps up and down my arms. How can he still make something so human happen to me?

"I'm sure they'll call, sometime today." He said reassuringly but with an undertone of annoyance. I frowned, turning in his arms towards him.

"Kale-" I began but he interrupted me, placing a finger to my lips.

"I know you love them, Jamie. And I try to keep my jealousy in check, even after almost eleven years. But watching you suffer like this, it's been hard to deal with. If I ever see them again--" He started to threaten.

"I'm sorry." I interrupted him now, before he could threaten the lives of my best friends.

He furrowed his eyebrows at me, looking almost angry.

"Don't be sorry. They should be sorry, not you. If they had any idea what this has done to you, maybe they'd stop being so selfish."

I rolled my eyes.

"I'm the one that's selfish. I've asked too much of them over the years, knowing how it hurts them." I muttered. "Maybe this is truly what's for the best, for them I mean."

"It's not what's best for you." He stated, somewhat unwillingly.

"It can't always be about me, Kale."

"But it is. You're the center of all of this." He gestured around the room, even though half of our family wasn't here. I scowled at the thought. "You're the reason why our family exists in the first place. They should be more appreciative to have you in their lives at all."

I was shaking my head at him now. "You can't stand them being around and you know it." I was only referring to Jacob and Shane.

"It's a hell of a lot better then having to see you like this." He gestured at me as if I was laying on my death bed.

I tried to hide the smile that snuck onto my face.

"That's a little dramatic."

He shrugged. "I don't think so..."

I stared up into his intense, ocean blue eyes. It suddenly dawned on me that I had been so focused on the family lately, that I had actually been neglecting to give Kale my attention. Sure, I've made him come to dinner's at Jason and Anya's and do family game nights, movie nights, sunday morning breakfasts, etc, with me but we really haven't had alone time together since Jacob disappeared. Now I was feeling bad on a whole new level.

I pulled his face down to mine, kissing him for a long minute.

"I'll make this up to you, I promise." I told him when I pulled my head back. "I have something for you." He smiled at me as I gestured for him to follow me.

"I thought we were waiting for William." He cocked his perfect eyebrow at me as I continued to pull him into the living room.

I grabbed the envelope I had tucked in the tree branches, holding it out to him.

"I'm not opposed to us sharing a moment alone." I said, feeling even more guilty since that seems to have been the case lately.

He took the envelope without another word, sliding it open. I watched his eyes light up and my insides turned to butterflies at the site of his reaction.

"Just you and me?" He asked, a little cautiously, holding up the two tickets. I had re-booked our trip we were meant to take for Christmas.

"Yes. We leave on Monday." I informed him as he pulled me into a hug, nearly crushing me. "Kale, " I started. He gazed down at me worriedly. "It's a one way ticket. We can be gone as long as we want."

"I just want us to be together Jamie, alone." He brushed a piece of my hair away from my face. "Thank you, this is perfect."

Before we could kiss again, Nathan's voice once again interrupted us.

"Hey! I thought we were waiting to open gifts!" He was once again whining as he sulked into the living room, seeing the envelope in Kale's hand.

Anya sighed walking in behind him. "You can open one." She gestured toward the piles of gifts under the tree.

"But no more whining, son. You sound like a brat." Jason scolded as him and Anya took a seat on the couch.

Kale snickered as Nathan narrowed his eyes at him.

"Open mine." Anabelle grabbed the large gift from under the tree, stopping Nathan and Kale from wrestling once again.

He took it with excitement behind his golden eyes, ripping at the package in a flash. He opened what appeared to be a guitar case.

"Nice!" Nathan said sounding pleased.

"Finish opening it." Anabelle rolled her eyes. "It's not a guitar."

Nathan wrinkled his nose in confusion, opening up the case now. He pulled out a wooden string instrument that was rounded at the back and bent slightly at the top. It definitely was not a guitar.

"What is it?" Kale asked, looking curiously at the instrument.

Nathan strummed it, making a beautiful sound come from it.

"It's a laouto, or a lute. It's from Greece." Anabelle smiled as if thinking of a distant memory. "And I want you to learn how to play it, properly." She told Nathan.

"I will. And I'll write a song for you."

Anabelle's eyes widened a little, then she shook her head.

"It better be a good one, pup."

Nathan laughed, then spoke determinedly; "I'll go start now!"

And with that he took off up the stairs with his instrument.

"That'll keep him busy for awhile." Jason said sounding impressed.

"I figured he could use a hobby, instead of going to the bars so much with his pack-mates." Anabelle shrugged.

"You were in Greece this time?" I finally connected where she said the gift was from. She nodded.

"If you two are still going, Ill give you some tips." She glanced at the tickets in Kale's hands.

"Sounds good to me." Kale agreed, finally taking a seat next to me on the couch I had settled into while watching Nathan.

Before Anabelle could begin to tell us about her trip and what we had to look forward to the doorbell once again rang.

My eyes widened. "William!" I couldn't help but to be the first one to flash to the door, flinging it open in a split second. "Hey stranger!"

William smiled at me handsomely. However I stopped myself short from hugging him as I noticed he had brought company. They stood on either side of him, each holding a mountain of gifts that completely covered both figures.

"You bought so many gifts you needed to recruit help?" I laughed.

"I couldn't help myself this year." He shrugged then smiled at me mischievously. As I raised my eyebrow at him, the figures both set down their piles of gifts, finally revealing their faces. I stopped cold in the doorway.

I was so stunned, they moved toward me before I had a chance to do anything. Both men flashed to either side of me, in unison kissing my cheek and they each whispered; "I love you, too."

I didn't know if I should laugh, cry or scream at them. I chose instead to wrap my arms tightly around Shane's neck, and then do the same to Jacob.

"That was mean!" I scolded them as I pulled away from Jake. "Where have you both been?!"

They both looked at each other with a smirk.

"Come on, we have to finish bringing in the gifts." Jake told Shane. He nodded at him.

"Something smells delicious. I've missed Anya's cooking." Shane grabbed the other pile of gifts that Jake didn't take. They scooted past me into the living room and I turned to William with a scowl.

He laughed. "They didn't tell me anything either."

"This is a cruel, wonderful surprise." I told him, biting down on my lip to try to keep my emotions in check. Everything inside of me was flurrying around so much it was no wonder I wasn't able to pick up on Jacob and Shane's scent.

"YOU TWO!" Kale's voice growled angrily from inside the living room, for the first time in a long time he sounded like Zero.

William cringed at the sound; "I'm glad I'm not on the receiving end of that."

I was biting my lip again to keep myself from smiling. I didn't want the boys to fight, however a warm feeling was spreading inside of me at the sound, just like old times. Anabelle came rushing out of the living room, looking as though she were trying to hold back a smile herself.

"Hello, my love." Anabelle kissed William on the cheek, who wrapped his arm around her, then she turned to me. "You better get in there, Jamie."

I nodded in agreement. "You're not off the hook for not telling me you were bringing them." I told William sternly.

He let out a snort of laughter. "We'll talk later then."

I nodded, then flashed into the living room just as Kale had Jacob in ahead lock.

"Kalsaban!" I scolded instantly. I felt like I was dealing with a bunch of children all of a sudden.

Shane was watching from the other side of the room, looking way too amused.

"Let them work it out," Shane pushed himself away from the wall he was leaning against. He wrapped his arm around me. "Come on, Jamie, I'm starving." He began leading me towards the kitchen.

"Shane!" Kale bellowed out throwing Jacob to the side and tackling Shane now.

"Hey, we'll explain everything to her! We just wanted to surprise her for Christmas!" Shane grunted as Kale lifted his fist to Shane's face. Well this was far enough. I flashed over to them and managed to push them both away from each other.

"And then what? You're both going to just leave her again?!" Kale's voice was dark and his eyes were as well.

"Zero...I-I mean, Kale, we have to go back. There's so much left unfinished..."Jacob looked shocked at Kale's words. Shane was breathing heavily beside me, looking just as shocked and a little hurt.

"I'm so sorry Jamie. We just figured we'd come home for Christmas, for you. We didn't think--" Shane began in a bit of a shaken voice.

"No, you didn't think. You have no idea what you've put her through! Both of you!" Kale interrupted Shane, his temper was rising.

Anabelle and William walked into the room, followed by Nathan.

"What the hell is going on in here?!" Nathan shouted over the tension.

"Language." Anya scolded behind him, causing him to jump.

"Well, you two sure know how to make an entrance." Jason was also in the archway, looking in behind the others.

"I guess we could have planned a little better..." Jacob said tentatively.

It came to my attention at this moment that I was looking at my entire family, all of them, as a whole and even though there was anger in Kale's eyes and fear in Jacob and Shane's I couldn't help the laugh that escaped me. All eyes were now on me.

"Let's all have a drink," I demanded. "A strong one."

Jacob and Shane looked at each other and smiled. Kale took a deep, shaky breath, un-clenching his fists and finally nodded in agreement.

"Hell yeah!" Nathan jumped between Shane and Jacob, throwing his arms around them.

"Not you!" Every single person told him.

"There's sparkling juice in the fridge for you." Anya told him.

Nathan heavily rolled his eyes.

Everyone turned to head into the kitchen, Anabelle asking Nathan how the song was coming along as William quirked his eyebrow in amusement.

*************

"It took a lot of convincing, but when Shane finally told me where he was, I booked the very next flight out. Emily wasn't too happy, but the rest of Shane's pack greeted me warmly. Especially, the youngest pup, Holly. You'd love her Jamie, she's adorable but she has a missing canine so the others tend to pick on her..." Jacob was talking enthusiastically as we all sat around the large oak family table, each of us drinking a specially made glass of Moscow mule from William (except for Nathan of course who had sparkling juice in a wine glass to make himself feel better.)

"Holly?" I asked looking at Shane.

"That's a long story. I took her in a long time ago, when I was their Alpha the first time. She wants to meet you, but I told her maybe next time..."

I tilted my head curiously at him. There was still so much I didn't know about Shane's past.

"I'll tell you guys something, Shane is the best Alpha I have ever seen, no offense." He shot an apologetic glance around the table at Anya, Jason and then at Kale. Jacob averted his eyes instantly and took a big swig of his drink.

Shane's nose wrinkled. "Well, that's enough of that Jake..." He muttered, sounding embarrassed and also taking a drink.

"Well, how did William find you guys? Or did you find him?" I asked, easing the awkwardness that had washed over Shane's face.

Shane, Jacob and William all laughed at once.

"I tracked them down, and they nearly killed me." William told us casually. I nearly choked on my drink at his words.

"What?!"I coughed. Kale patted my back gently.

"We were on high alert at the time. With William having no scent, he caught us by surprise and well..." Jacob stopped talking instantly as we locked eyes.

"It's not as dangerous as he's making it all sound." Shane told me instantly, shooting Jacob what appeared to me to be a warning look.

Jacob cleared his throat. "Well, yes, maybe I'm getting a little carried away. This is definitely a strong drink." He held up his glass towards William, who clinked his glass against his with a laugh.

I couldn't help but stare at both of them, wondering the type of danger they put themselves through on a daily basis. Kale ran his hand down the length of my hair.

"We're going to Greece." Kale told the table, keeping his eyes on me, obviously trying to steer the conversation away from anything that would ignite my compulsive worrying.

"Beautiful place!" Shane said, eager to change the conversation. They knew me too well.

"Oh? You've been there?" I asked, becoming increasingly aware about my lack of knowledge of Shane's past.

"A few times..." Shane dove into telling us all stories of his adventures in Greece and his other travels around the world. Apparently, being an Alpha came with traveling perks, visiting packs all across the world.

As the day progressed, the table filled more and more with empty cups. The continuous chatter and laughter around the table warmed me to the core. Occasionally someone would bring up a memory from our past life that would make me cover my face with embarrassment or laugh so hard tears would spring to my eyes. Nathan always wanted to hear more of the details, as he wasn't around back then, especially anything that included fighting or more importantly, Anabelle.

"I don't believe you." Nathan shook his head, taking a sip out of his wine glass filled with sparkling juice as Kale, Jake and Shane recalled Anabelle's old ways. "Not my Anabelle."

"What?! Anabelle was not as sweet and innocent as she is now. She wanted to scratch Jamie's eyeballs out." Jacob waved Nathan's comment off with a snort of laughter.

"Hey, now. Jamie almost ripped my head off, on more then one occasion. If Kale hadn't held her back..." Anabelle took a long sip of her drink and looked back at me. My eyes widened at the memory, I had forgotten.

"You were...awful.." I told her, trying to keep a straight face. She cracked first.

"Absolutely." She laughed, holding her glass up. "To mortal enemies."

"To William The Stray, for fixing you." Jacob clinked his glass against Anabelle's before I could.

"Jacob!" I scolded but the whole table erupted with laughter.

"I'll cheers to that!" William kissed Anabelle on the cheek, winking at her playfully.

"I saved you. As much as you saved me." Anabelle teased, nudging him with her shoulder.

"To Jamie," Shane interjected, lifting his cup now. "For saving us all."

"Now that, I will cheers to." Kale lifted his cup as well, wrapping his free arm around me, pulling me closer to him. I  ducked my head into his chest, feeling thoroughly embarrassed.

"To Jamie..." Jake, Jason, Anya, Anabelle, William and Nathan all spoke in unison. I lifted my head, seeing all of their cups raised. I rolled my eyes at them.

"To our family." I corrected, raising my cup now. Laughter filled the room once again, then we finally clinked our glasses together. I couldn't help but take in each and everyone of their faces as they smiled at me lovingly. I locked eyes with Shane and then Jacob who both never took their eyes from me. We had a whole weekend ahead for the three of us to spend some much needed quality time together.

I felt over the moon with happiness. My family was home and together, all in one place; teasing each other, laughing with each other and simply enjoying each other's company. This is what life is all about, even if it was just for a few days, and I was going to embrace every single moment of it.
