Darkness—it's what I have always known
I am born with it and with my eyes, it roams
So I crawl in its shade, in its everlasting embrace
To where it all ends, to where I die in disgrace
Cages—it's the only home I've called my own
I am grasping for the straws I could have sown
So I look and gather, to me, the obvious changes
To where it all started, to where it falls off the edges
Endless—it's the sorrow I've only ever grown
I am burdened with the deadly blade I had honed
So I sit beside you, in the dark of our insanity
Only to ask you—"Are you the one setting me free?"
