Diavolo was quite bored one day and decided to have a masquerade ball. Why? Because he saw one on tv and just loved how everything was caped with secrecy. So, he invited everyone over to the castle, even the boys in purgatory hall. Which excited you the most because you haven't had a chance to party with Solomon in a while.
"You're for sure coming, right?" You asked Solomon through the phone.
"Yes...I've told you like four times now." He chuckled.
"Sorry, sorry...I guess I'm a bit anxious." You sighed.
"Don't be...I'll be there with you. I won't let any demons have their way with my partner in crime, trust me." Solomon said.
"Haha okay...I'll see you there, love you." You said.
"Love you too, and don't stress too much." He said before hanging up.
You chuckled while shaking your head. Feeling rejuvenated, you finished up getting ready and left your room to see whether or not the brothers were ready.
"Y/NNN!!" Asmo squealed as he jumped on you.
"AH WHAT-" You panicked for a second before regaining your composure.
"Hehehe sorry, hun. I just got so excited seeing your outfit." He giggled.
You got a good look at Asmo, seeing that he was wearing a super cute tuxedo with sparkles and rose imprints all over it. It even had a long tailcoat that almost hit the floor.
"Wow...you look..." You couldn't even find the right words to describe how Asmo looked.
"Stunning? Fabulous? Absolutely drop-dead gorgeous? I know you love my outfit darling~" Asmo teased.
Belphie walked by and scoffed.
"Pfft...keep going Asmo." Belphie snickered.
"Oh, hush...you just can't appreciate beauty." Asmo said.
"Whatever I'm going to go find Beel." He yawned.
"Hey have any of you seen my- woah." Mammon stopped in his tracks.
"Like what you see?" Asmo posed.
"Yeah, Y/n looks amazing in that!" Mammon said.
"Hehe thanks" You said smiling a bit.
"What about me?!" Asmo stomped.
"Oh ya look....shiny." Mammon shrugged. Before anything could escalate, Lucifer stepped in, clearly looking annoyed.
"Enough you two. Now hurry up or we're going to be late. And don't forget your masks." He said.
After a lot of bickering and who wears what mask, you all finally left the house of lamentation and headed towards the castle. You were a bit nervous, to say the least. You hoped Solomon was there like he promised. And the worst thing was, you might not even know it since everyone looked almost unrecognizable with masks on.
"Remember, no causing a scene or I'll make sure you'll regret it for centuries to come. If you need me, I'll be where the drinks are." Lucifer said before letting you all go.
You took a deep breath and started looking around for Solomon. He couldn't be that hard to find, right?
You were quickly proven wrong, finding quite a bit of demons with similar hair color and height. You tried texting him but got no response. You were beginning to think it would be impossible to meet up with him.
"What's a human like you doing around here? Are you lost?" Someone said.
You quickly turned around, finding yourself face to face with a demon wearing a black bull mask with it's horns painted gold. It was quite an elegant mask, but it intimidated you a bit.
"Ah...no I'm not lost. I'm just looking for my boyfriend." You said.
"Hm...well it seems like you're little boyfriend left you all alone. Mind if I keep you some company?" He put his hand out, asking for a dance.
"That's okay I-"
"Is this meathead bothering you? Come with me honey, I'll take care of you~" A succubi said.
"Um-"
"Why don't you come with me? I'll show you a good time." A witch chimed in.
"Hey! I was here first!" The demon scowled.
"Really? Hm...oh well. Why don't you find someone else to bother and I'll take this cutie with me?" The succubi winked at you.
"I'll take them before you guys have a chance to blink." The witch sneered.
"Like hell!" The demon hissed. They went back and forth for a while, giving you a chance to slip away.
You stood by the balcony, where thankfully no one was there. You breathed in the fresh air, feeling more relaxed. You rested your arms on the balcony and stared at the starry night sky. Even though it was always dark in Devildom, you never got tired of seeing how pretty the stars were.
You then remembered the night Solomon found out you had a crush on him. It was a night almost like this one, where you were sitting outside singing a little song you've had stuck in your head all day.
"There I was again tonight forcing laughter, faking smiles
Same old tired, lonely place" Though it hurt to sing, the song always had some bittersweet comfort to it.
"The playful conversation starts
Counter all your quick remarks, like passing notes in secrecy" You couldn't help but find it funny how that almost perfectly described your first few encounters with Solomon.
"This night is sparkling, don't you let it go
I'm wonder struck, blushing all the way home
I'll spend forever wondering if you knew
I was enchanted to meet you" You smiled a bit, feeling more calmer by the second.
"The lingering question kept me up
Two a.m., who do you love?" You heard a voice sing from behind you.
It was Solomon, wearing a horned masquerade mask that surprisingly matched yours. You blushed a bit, remembering how similar this was that night.
"I wonder till I'm wide awake" You sang.
"Now I'm pacing back and forth, wishing you were at my door
I'd open up and you would say, hey" You both sang in duet.
Solomon got closer and placed his hands on his hips, smiling sweetly at you. You felt like you were falling in love all over again.
"It was enchanting to meet you
All I know is I was, enchanted to meet you" You lead off.
"This night is sparkling, don't you let it go
I'm wonder struck, blushing all the way home
I'll spend forever wondering if you knew" You harmonized with Solomon.
It felt like a scene straight out of a cheesy romance movie, but none of you seemed to care at the moment. You couldn't wait any longer and kissed his lips, relieved to see him.
"Sorry I came so late...Luke insisted that I should fix myself up a bit more." He chucked.
"That's okay...I'm so glad that you're here now." You said.
"Did something happen while I wasn't here?" He asked.
"U-Uh...some demons and a witch tried to get me to dance with them even though I told them no...I managed to slip out though." You frowned a bit. Though you couldn't see his eyes properly, you knew he was upset.
"I'm sorry they bothered you, my dear...I should have come here sooner." Solomon caressed your cheek.
"It's okay...I'm just glad you're here now." You sighed contently before kissing his cheek.
"Why don't we go in for some drinks? Meanwhile, you can point out those demons that tried hitting on you. Don't worry, I'll just talk to them." Solomon smiled as he led you away from the balcony.
"Sometimes I wonder if you're really human, mon mon..."
