Y/n was walking around the hideout as everyone seemed to be in bad spirits about Lubbock's death, he has seen Najenda in Lubbock room sometimes having a smoke, Rin and Kai were allowed to join night raid temporarily due to the insight they had about the palace, Tatsumi hasn't left Mines side since the rescue, y/n was fine physically only real thing is probably the bandages that are going to be around his neck from Rin but mentally, he was overwhelmed feeling so many emotions at the same time and not letting it did something to him, but the strangest thing as Akame, she seemed to be preparing for something, he didn't know what bad a deep sadness filled her eyes so late at night y/n snuck out but was stopped by Rin

They sat there waiting for when they would eventually have to fight one another or step in to assist their teammates, but watching the fight y/n saw that wave was right, Kurome would either died from overuse of her Tegu or by Akame's hand, but then the ground started to shake revealed a giant danger beast, possibly from the strife, y/n got up as well wave drawing their weapons and quickly came out of the forest and attacked the beast
Kurome: Wave?
Akame: y/n what ar-
Y/n: this fight between you and her.
Wave: we'll do our best to keep it that way.
Akame: ...
Kurome: ...
They continued their fight y/n and wave did their best to stop the danger beast but its armor was too tough to cut through
Wave: what do we do?
Y/n quickly searched for weakness and saw tubing leading to his head and pointed them out

Wave quickly summoned his spear cut both tubes exposing his face y/n then ran up its arm and stabbed it's head and cut upwards killing it

Y/n saw kurome on her kneel breathing heavily y/n only looked at Wave

Wave Quickly stepped in step between the 2 before anyone made a terrible Act

Kurome couldn't finish as his helmet disappeared and he quickly silenced her lips with his own, this lasted for a second as the 2 parted wave confessed to her as he picked her up there was only one thing she said tearfully

With that he renounced their allegiance to the Empire as waves jumped away leaving Yatsufusa as y/n picked it up he heard the voices and quickly destroyed it shattering the sword with his own

Y/n turned to see Akame sitting on the ground tears flowing down her face were they for not kill her sister is it because she couldn't bring herself to kill her sister her being the only family she had left? he never got an answer as they made their way back to base
