"Sooo, what are you going to do?"

It was already late in the evening and after the eventful night and morning I had, I decided to lounge around my apartment with Max before I went into the station later tonight. After running into Ethan earlier today and him just giving me his number, it all didn't feel right to me.

When Max and I returned back to my apartment, I went straight to my laptop and looked up this Ethan Lincoln character. Nothing really came up besides a few charity events that featured him there as a guest. I clicked on Google images and a flood of photos of him with beautiful women covered my screen. I clicked through photo after photo, my insecurity level dropping to negative fifty. Why was such a sexy man like himself be intrested in a girl like me? After looking at the women he was photographed with, I can't help but feel like this is a sick joke that someone is pulling on me. Compared to all the women in the photos who looked like they could be models, with their perfectly styled hair, tall frames and slim figure. While there's just me, a size 11 with to much curves and a 5'4 height that I hate.

Why would this guy want to be seen with me?

"Stop it." Max walks passes me, taking my laptop with him before he sits down on my couch. I sigh, running my fingers through my hair. "I don't know what you're talking about." I reply.

Max raises an eyebrow at me. "Don't give me that crap I saw the look on your face when you were looking at these photos." He says. "And I know what you're thinking, 'why is he into me?' and blah, blah, blah."

I get up from my desk top and come over to sit next to him. "But it's true." I mumble. "I mean, look at him and those girls. Do you honestly think I can compete with that?" I ask

Max waves his hand in front of my face. "Hey, look at me." I sigh and look at him. "I am the captain now." He says, quoting the famous line from Captain Phillips. "And for now on, I'm going to help with this." He continues. I check my phone for the time and see that it's time for me to get ready for work.

"I don't need your help Max. I don't see me and this guy being anything but just a one-night stand to one another." I say over my shoulder while I head back into my bedroom to get ready.

"Says who?" Max replies. "Trust me Audri, I'm going to get you with this man if it's the last thing I do! At least fuck him one last time!"

I ignored him as he yells and I make my way into my bathroom, hopping in the shower. Letting the hot water wash over me and all the things that had happen the night before just wash away. It's as if everything that I couldn't remember last night came rushing back to me. The drinking, the dancing, Ethan coming up to me wearing a plain black the showed off his hard chest and a pair of dark jeans that hung onto his waist just right.

I danced the whole night with him, grinding my body against his as he grabbed my hips hard, pulling me closer against him to feel his erection in his pants pressing against my bottom. Between him grinding back against me and whispering naughty things in my ear, I couldn't take it anymore. I spun around in his arms and kissed him on the lips, hard. Ethan was the first to break the kiss, his eyes gazing into mine before he pulled my hand and led me out of the club.

As they say, the rest was history but the more I think about it, the more I stop doubting myself. HE approached ME and when he did, there was no sign of hesitation from him or anything shady. Out of the whole entire room filled with beautiful, skinnier women, he choose to dance with me and now he wants to take ME out on a date.

I should probably give this a shot..

Turning off the shower, I hop out and grab a towel to wrap around myself as I head back into my bedroom where I go to look for my cell phone. Not being able to find it, I walk into my living room. "Hey Max, did I leave my phone in here?" I ask, seeing him sitting in the same spot where I left him.

"Nope." He answers quickly. A little too quickly for me. "Okay..anyways, let me see your phone so I can call it." I say, holding my hand out.

Max looks at his cell phone in his hand then back to me. "This phone."

I nod my head. "Yeah, give me your phone."

"I'm sure your phone will turn up." He says back.

I sigh deeply. "Max, I don't have time for this, give me your damn phone." I reply before I'm on him, snatching his phone out of his hand. I get up and unlock his screen before going dialing in my own number. Amy Winehouse starts to play and I look over to where Max is. "Are you sitting on my pho-" Before I can ask, Max tries to for his phone again but misses. Falling down off my couch and taking my towel down with him which leaves my naked body exposed.

Good thing no one else is here..

"Hello, hello everybody!"

Great..

MaryAnn walks into my apartment, holding a bottle of Barefoot in one hand and a bag of Korean in the other. The bright smile on her face soon turns into a frown when she sees the state that we're in. "Oh dear.." She says, the shock showed on her face. "Sorry for intruding."

I hurry quickly to grab my towel off the floor and wrap it around my body before speaking."No, no MaryAnn please wait. It's not what it looks like." I say, slapping Max on his back as he gets up.

"Don't worry, it's fine. Even girls like you need that male compassion." She puts on her bright smile again and I just want to punch her teeth in but I don't.

Max sits back down on the couch. "If I wasn't gay I would totally bang Audri but that's besides the point. What are you doing here you psycho?" He ask. I reach over and hit him in the back of his head.

MaryAnn clears her throat. "I stopped by because I wanted to surprise Audri with her favorite food but I didn't know she would have a guest." She glares at Max. The last thing I need are for these two too start a argument over nonsense.

"Thank you MaryAnn, you can go put everything in the kitchen." I say, forcing a smile on my face. I watch as she heads into the kitchen and out of ear shot. "Why the hell were you sitting on my phone?" I hiss at Max, grabbing it from him.

Max is silent for a moment before speaking. "I think I goofed up baby girl." He says. "You know that guy that you banged and the we ran into him?" I nod my head silently and wait for him to continue. "Well, I kinda, sorta, maybe, text him for you on your phone."

I gasp quickly. "You what!?" I swipe the screen on my phone and went to my text messages. Seeing the ones between me, well Max, and Ethan.

Me: Hey cutie, it's Audri from earlier. I would call you but I'm about to get wet in the shower. But I thought I'd let you know that this Friday we're going out to my favorite restaurant. So nice and sexy ;p

I read the text message over and over again until it was burning in my brain. "Max..how..what the fuck did you do!?" I yell.

"I was taking things into my own hands since you weren't going to call him first." He sits back coolly. "He's into you Audri but you weren't going to let it happen until you were so sure that he wasn't into you. So I just gave you a little push to get the ball rolling. You'll thank me later."

I stare at him in shock, needing to have a seat. "You little twat! You don't know what I was going to do. You didn't even give me a chance to think it over, which I did, and I can tell you that I was going to call but now...now you just made me seem like..like a scarlet of the night!" I shout.

MaryAnn comes back in the room with two glasses of wine and sunshine. "What's with all the shouting I'm hearing?"

"Nothing." Both Max and I say together. I grab the glass of wine from MaryAnn's hand and drink it down in a few gulps. "I have to get ready for work." I get up and head back to my room. How can he do that? Max has done some impulsive shit but this, this just isn't okay!

I get dress in a huff and come back out an hour later dressed and ready for work. When I walk back into my living room, Max and MaryAnn are both sitting in an awkward silence, both focused to much on what's happening on the Real Housewives then addressing the tension between the two.

"So, I'm heading to work a little early so if you guys are going to stay just make sure you lock up when you leave." I say, grabbing my purse before heading towards the door. "And Max, you're grounded so no touching any of my food." I give him a warning before heading out and heading to the radio station.

When I arrive, the last slot of the evening is just ending with host Andrew Beck who is the most sexist man I've ever worked with. Standing at 5'9, his body is in top shape for his age and the grey that's slowly coming in in all the right places and his Irish accent all makes him even more sexier then he already is. Even though he's only ten years older than me, he still carries himself with the confidence on any twenty-something. Did I have a huge crush on him when I first started here? Yes. Do I still have one on him? Does acting weird and getting sweaty around him randomly counts as an answer? But I know I'm far from his type, with him bringing a thin blonde to every work party shows it.

"And that's all the time we have on the Beck's afternoon special. In just another few more I'm going to toss it over to the beautiful and always honest Miss Audri Day for the Late Night Talks. Mr. Beck, signing off and telling you to enjoying the rest of your night."

The producer gives him the T and Andrew takes off his headphones and exist from the booth. "How'd you like my exist there?" Andrew comes up to me, wearing a fitted grey t-shirt and dark jeans that fit him perfectly.

I smile. "Will it wasn't that bad but instead of saying the beautiful and honest Audri. You should of said the beautiful, gorgeous, classy, goddess of the earth Audri." I say, smiling when he laughs.

"Maybe next time I'll remember that." He says, nudging me playfully. "You look good by the way." He says, looking me up and down for a moment. I start to feel my ears burning a bit, luckily I have my hair down today so he can't see. "Thank you." I say.

"Hey Andrew, we're about to leave so lets go." One of our team members says. "Heading out with the little trouble-makers again huh?" I say, a bit sad that I had to work late.

Andrew rubs the back of his neck. "Yeah, but it's nothing." He says. "I'll caught you later ya', good luck on your air time." He gives me a little smile before walking off and I slowly melt onto the floor.

If my phone hadn't vibrate I would of continue starting at Andrew long after he had left. My phone vibrates again and I take it out from my purse, seeing two new text messages for the last person I would expect.

Mom: Audri, it's mom. Call me back when you get this.
