I shift uncomfortably on the soft nude colour sofa, feeling awkward being at Elise's birthday party.
I was surprised, to say the least when Chloe informed me that Elise wanted me and the boys to be here. Don't get me wrong Chloe's friends are nice and all, well, most of them are, but I don't view them as my friends.
Apart from Chloe, the only other person here that I can see myself being friends with is Felix. The other people's company is pleasant but that's about it. For example, I can't see myself randomly texting Alice to go grab a coffee and have a deep conversation with her.
I don't think personality-wise that I click well with any of them. Elise, Alice, Sydney and even Jacob all are more open, loud and outgoing people than me. I'm much more toned down, don't like going to big parties or clubs, and I don't even talk much.
So, I don't know why Elise invited me, Eddie and Frankie. Maybe she thinks of us as friends or maybe she just likes our company. The only reason why I'm here is that I didn't want to feel like an asshole by declining the offer.
"Hey, are you okay?" Chloe asks me, as she takes a seat right next to me, her knee brushing against mine.
"Yeah, I'm good just wondering where Eddie is, " I say which isn't totally a lie, Eddie is running late.
"Sorry, we're a bit late, happy birthday!" Felix says coming in with Eddie trailing behind him.
"I didn't know those two were hanging out together, " Chloe says, looking at them too.
"Me neither, " I say, my eyebrows furrowing.
After Eddie greeted Elise and the rest, I and Frankie stand up and motioned for him to follow us into the backyard to talk about what is going on with him.
"What's up, guys?" His voice slightly wavers as he speaks.
"What's going on with you and Felix? We didn't know you guys became friends, " Frankie says, standing next to him.
"Oh well yeah, Felix and I hit it off quite well since we met, so we've been in touch. Is that all?" He says, shifting his gaze from Frankie to me.
"I don't know is that all?" I ask, crossing my arms across my chest as I lean back on the wall.
"Why are guys acting like that? Is it that weird for me and Felix to hang out?" He says, rolling his eyes whilst kicking the grass softly with his feet, shoving his hand in the pockets of his jacket.
"No, not at all! It's just weird that you never said anything about it, you never mention Felix before. I mean we didn't even know you guys exchange numbers more so hang out together, " Frankie says, placing his hand on Eddie's shoulder.
"It's just weird that you didn't tell us you became friends with him cause you usually tell us all about the new people you meet. Why was it different this time? " I say, placing one foot on the wall to be more comfortable.
"Cause it's just happened okay! I like his personality, we have good conversations together and he gave me his number and we hang out sometimes. It's not that deep, chill!"
"Wow, we're not attacking you or anything so no need to get defensive! Everything's good, " I say, pushing off the wall and giving his other shoulder that Frankie didn't hold a squeeze.
"Come on, let's go back inside, " I say, nodding towards the door before going back in where everyone else is.
Eddie is acting strange; he has been for some time now. It seems like something is bothering him but for some reason, he doesn't tell us what. Is like he's physically here but his mind is somewhere else, and he gets weirdly defensive without needing to.
I'll have a conversation with him again tomorrow to figure out what's wrong.
"Glad that you guys joined us again, sit down please we'll play truth or dare, " Elise says, excitedly already looking tipsy.

My eyes focus on Chloe and Jacob sitting close to each other, smiling and laughing. A sour taste suddenly hits my tongue at the sight.
"Alright, sit boys. I'm pretty sure all of you know what this game is all about. We'll do it with a bottle so it's random," Felix says, motioning us over with his hand as he places an empty bottle in the middle with the other.
I sit down next to him and across from Chloe with a sigh. I guess let's get this party started.
"Okay, I'll start, " Frankie says, twisting the bottle and it lands on Chloe.
"Alright, Chloe, truth or dare?"
"Truth, I want to start easy, " she says, smiling.
"If you got to have a threesome with people in this room, who would you do it with and why? Really easy right, " he says, making everyone chuckle as she throws him a glare.
"Come on Chloe, I'm dying to hear the answer to that!" Elise says taking another swing of her drink.
"If I had to, I'll say it's in between Felix, Jacob and Ian. I can't choose two between these three boys because they're all people that I trust, and I know that they care about me. So, I'll be comfortable doing that with any two of them. Satisfied?" She asks him, raising an eyebrow.
"Almost, you're next, " he says, laying back.
I almost choked on my saliva with her answer, and I could feel my eyes almost bulging out of their sockets. Gosh, I wanted to smack Frankie for asking her that.
Fuck!
She spins it and it lands on Eddie.
"Truth, " he says before she even asks.
She looks between him and Felix for a second thinking but then her eyes land on me and I motion to her with my eyebrows not to ask that.
"What's your biggest pet peeve?"
"Oh, easy, dumb people, " he says shrugging and spinning the bottle that lands on Jacob.
"Truth, " Jacob says.
"How many times you've done it in one day? I'm pretty sure you know what I'm referring to, " Eddie says, wiggling his eyebrows.
"Three times, " he says, chuckling whilst shaking his head.
He spins the bottle and of course, it lands on me, who else.
"Truth, " I say, not trusting him to give me a dare.
"How many people have you kissed?" He asks me, with a slight grin on his face.
Shit!
"None, " I say, shifting uncomfortably in my seat not because of the question but because of the person asking me that.
I'm not embarrassed that I haven't even kissed anyone at the age of 19 to 20 yet.
When it comes to boys and sexual things nowadays is very rare to hear someone saying they haven't kissed someone by 18-years-old. I honestly think that most of it comes from peer pressure. Men are seen as this sex-crazy beast that only thinks about that all day long when it's not true. Some do and some don't.
Everyone is different.
An awkward silence takes over before Elise breaks it.
"That's interesting, " she says slowly, biting her lip.
"Yeah, I would've never guessed that" Alice adds, making me look at her with furrowed eyebrows.
"Why?"
"Well, because you're a hot guy, there's no way girls haven't approached you, " she says.
Her response annoys me, to be honest.
"I was never a social guy, so I didn't pay attention to stuff like that, I was always busy studying, " I say, giving the bottle a good spin and ending the conversation.
I hate when people don't believe something about me just because they find me good-looking, especially when they persist in it.
Just because you deem someone as a hot person doesn't mean everyone else will as well, or that they must have done something sexual before. I think some people think that's a compliment when it's really not, it's annoying as hell.
It lands on fucking Jacob.
"Truth, " he says, looking very smug which irritates me.
"How many girls have you slept with?" I ask him.
"About 9 girls were 3 of them ended in relationships," he says, taking his drink and downing it all.
"Truth or dare Elise?" he asks.
"Dare!" She yells.
"Touch tongues with someone, " he says, chuckling.
"Ah, sorry Alice, " she says, going to Sydney.
"Forgiven, " Alice says to her, as she touches her tongue with Sydney.
"Okay, Chloe truth or dare?" She asks Chloe as the bottle landed on her again.
"Dare this time, " she says.
"Give a lap dance to the person sitting opposite you!" she says loudly.
It takes me a few seconds to realize that the person in front of her is me. She comes to me and sits on my lap, straddling me whilst leaning down to whisper in my ear.
"I'm sorry, " she says before she starts giving me a lap dance.

I tilt my head back, trying to focus on the ceiling or something else cause Chloe's ass rubbing on my dick is a problem for me. How am I supposed to act cool after she's done?
For my sake, it doesn't last long only for about a minute at the most. I readjust my position once she leaves and let out a breath as she sits back down on her seat with flushed cheeks.
Good to know I wasn't the only one affected by that!
Chloe quickly spins the bottle, and it lands on Felix and he picks truth.
"Have you ever kissed anyone in this room?" She asks.
"Yes, you sweet cheeks did you forget?" He says, making my jaw drop slightly.
What the fuck?
He and Chloe kissed?!
I was not expecting that!
"Oh, yeah, I forgot, damn it!" She says, rolling her eyes whilst groaning.
"Excuse me, when did this happen and we didn't know?" Alice asks loudly with eyes wide.
"It was like 2 to 3 years ago, I don't remember exactly, she broke up with her boyfriend at the time and we went out, got drunk and we kissed and that's about it, " he says, shrugging as if it's nothing.
"Alice your up what do you choose?" He asks her.
"Dare of course!"
"Suck.." Felix starts saying.
"Oh no," she whispers.
"Suck the finger of the person you like the most," he says smiling.
"You sneaky bitch, you know I hate stuff like that," she says, pointing a finger at him as he laughs.
"Sorry babe," she says to her girlfriend before sucking her finger.
Alice spins the bottle for one last time.
"Chloe you're up again."
"Dare, " she says, looking a bit tired.
"Kiss the person sitting next to you on your left, " Alice says, making my heart clench as Chloe turns to look at Jacob.
She offers him a tight-lipped smile before moving closer to him and pressing her lips gently onto his.
It didn't last long but I did notice how Jacob tried to prolong it.
I look away, avoiding Chloe's eyes at all costs.
What a fuckin great party!
