"Cool. You're saying Harry Potter talked to a bloody snake!" Dahlia exclaimed, as I told them about the afternoons events.

"No, not cool! He was speaking parseltongue Dahlia! You are well aware that only You Know Who knows that language very well than any others!" I retorted.

"That makes sense though. I mean he did survived him." Zachary remarked.

I rolled my eyes at how they were not taking this seriously! We have fought off a DADA Professor with You Know Who in the back of his head in first year for merlin's sake! They should at least be more worried if this is another thing concerning HIM.

I sighed and looked over at Chloe who has her nose on a specific book for help. When she caught my pleading eyes, she quickly drifted back her attention to her book, unwilling to hand help especially when Dahlia and Zach decided paired up for the argument.

I huffed at her. Well, some friends you are.

"I'm worried for him. This is serious case!" I exclaimed. Dahlia placed a reassuringly hand on my shoulder, "Don't stress yourself with it, Elaine. I mean he's survived the dark wizard there is to live around. I'm sure another year with a spice of trouble wouldn't be too hard for him." she stated.

That really didn't quite reassure me. But nonetheless, I didn't push the topic. I'll be there for Harry just as I was for him back when we hunt for the Philosopher's Stone last year. I mean, what are friends are for?

"Besides we have a lot more things to worry about.." Dahlia gave my shoulder a squeeze that made me winced in pain.

"What?" I asked quizzically.

She leaned in and whispered in my ear, "You and Diggory."

My face turned bright red, and the three laughed at my expression.

"Piss off. How do you know?" I said. I'm pretty sure they weren't around the hall when I decided to walk towards Cedric to pair up with him.

"We kind of just." Dahlia replied.

"Kind of?" I said doubting her words.

"Okay! Okay! A Slytherin told us that you two paired alright!" Dahlia particularly squealed in excitement.

They started bombarding me with questions I couldn't catch up to answer about me and Cedric. For merlin's sake it was a mistake to tell them I took a bit of fancy on the golden boy.

What an eventful day it is..

~

The next morning, I stretched right out of my bed as the sun started to rose up outside. Once I sat up my four poster bed, I smiled at the sight of Orchid sleeping beside my pillow.

He was so peaceful that I regret to even wake him up.

Oh well, might as well let him rest for a couple of minutes after I bath.

I slowly stood up from my bed, and sluggishly went towards the bathroom. Moments later, I got out to see Dahlia stretching herself up beside the window.

I laughed at the sight of her catching her attention.

"Done?" she asked and I nodded.

"What're you doing?" I questioned through my chuckles.

"Exercising of course! It's a lovely morning to do that!" Dahlia exclaimed and I just grinned.

I changed into my uniform, and tied my neck tie, put on my grey jumper, then my skirt and lastly my Slytherin robe.

After that, I casted a charm to dry my hair and ready all my books for classes.

Dahlia and I skipped down the girls dormitory, with our arms linked together as I joyously laugh as Dahlia keeps blabbering about how important morning exercises were. Even though, she herself doesn't even do them that often.

Down the common room awaits two of our other friends, Chloe and Zachary. We slip out of the portrait and went for breakfast at the Great Hall.

"For the last time, Zach! We don't know! We weren't the one who attacked them!" Chloe finally snapped as Zachary kept pestering us on asking how the petrifieds were petrifieds.

I myself have grown irritated on Zach's constant asking of that question over and over again.

"I mean just how!?" Zachary asked loudly again.

"Well, perhaps they should go for you this time so that you'll know.." I commented sarcastically, causing Chloe and Dahlia to snicker and for Zachary to scoff.

"Well, jokes on you. I'm a pureblood, the attacks only goes for those with muggle blood." Zachary remarked, and we all could feel Dahlia stiffened.

"Wrong words?" Zach asked sheepishly and I shove him lightly by the arm.

Dahlia was a half blood so it was easier for her to get, as much as I hate to say this, petrified than the rest of us that were purebloods.

Speaking of muggle borns, Hermione...

I shook off the twisting feeling in my pit imagining Hermione in a petrified state. But I knew better, that Mione was a bright witch. She wouldn't do anything that could get her on the tip of death.

I just hope so.

"Let's not talk about it.." Dahlia shuddered, as though she imagined herself in the state like Colin Creevey's is.

***

"Hermione! We've been here for almost an hour! We're gonna miss out quidditch!" I whined.

Me and Hermione have been in the library for far too long, researching for who could've attacked the muggle borns. And I don't even have a clue why she thought bringing a mirror was necessary.

"Oh shush! We'll come down the pitch soon..." she replied, not even taking her eyes off as she continued to skim the books spine's in the shelf.

"But you've said that for a couple of times now!" I shot back and she only sighed in response.

"You can go ahead if you like, I'll catch up soon.." Hermione muttered and I quickly lift my head from the table and jolted up from the chair in excitement.

"Really? Can I?" I exclaimed.

Hermione chuckled slowly nodding her head, "Go on, I'll catch up!" she shooed, and I gave her a sheepish grin.

I packed my bags, and wrapped my Slytherin scarf around my neck, as I started to pile out the books Hermione told me to skim (which i barely did)

"I'll see you, Mione!" I bid, which she replied with a small hmm and continued looking for a particular book to help her.

I skipped outside the library, excitedly out the castle to head out towards the pitch.

It was until I saw a familiar golden brown hair that was walking also in the same direction towards the pitch, did I grinned mischievously.

I cautiously approached him from the back as he continued to walk alone without any companion (giving me a much more advantage), completely unaware of what's coming.

Without fair warning, I jumped unto his back as he let out a yelp.

He frantically looked back at me over his shoulder, and sighed in relief as he saw my familiar face that I rested in his shoulder.

"You scared the life out of me.." he muttered reaching a hand to his chest and I laughed.

"Off to the pitch, are you Cedric?" I asked grinning sheepishly.

He gave me a cheeky smile with a nod, before trying to shake me off his back.

I began to laugh but I didn't budge instead I tightened my hold on his shoulders and wrapped my legs around his torso as he failed to put me off.
He eventually gave up and gave me a look to which I chuckled at.

"Carry me, will you? I'm also heading at the pitch, and my legs are hurting.." I said with a fake pained voice in which he chuckled at.

"You're impossible, you know that right?" he remarked as he carried me, placing a safety hand on the back of my knee as he lift me up and I wrapped my arms around his neck, to be more secured on not falling.

"And a little over exaggerated too.." Cedric added and I laugh.
I waved out my hair dramatically, "Learnt from the best!" I exclaimed and he shake his head with a small laugh, and he began to trudge towards the pitch carrying me on his back.

"Where are your friends anyway? Rarely see you alone in times." I asked.

"Off the pitch already. I got called by Professor Sprout to help her out carry her growing mandrakes safely to the greenhouse. But hey, I mean I'd like to hang out more often.." he said with a light chuckle.

I blushed at his offer. Even though I've figured this profound feelings I felt towards Cedric, he is still my friend. I don't think it's the best time to tell him yet about it.

I mean I just became his friend, and rejection is too much of in the way for me to find my courage to do it.

I like Cedric. Out from the usual like of friendship I've feel for others like Hermione, Harry, Ron, Dahlia, Chloe, Zach and so on.

I discovered I like Cedric, and in a different way. Not a friendly thing of attraction but something between the lines of a romantic way.

I like Cedric, but do I considered what he also felt? Not that I'm particularly aware of. We just became friends, it's too soon to go beyond that.

Anyways, there's still time.

I reluctantly placed my chin gently on his shoulder, and smiled trying to ignore the red colored tinged on my cheeks. Cedric didn't even bother to dismiss his.

I could perfectly see it clearly, how a part of his face were burning up in this close proximity.

"I'd love that." I replied.

With another smile at each others words. Cedric continued to march at the quidditch pitch chatting with me as he carried me in his back, with his hands firm on my legs to keep me from falling.

And off we go, talking.

a/n:

Hey, my updates really a slow one. Sorry 'bout that peeps! I promise to keep up with the week as much as I can. And you all might've taken notice that Friday isn't the day the updates releases anymore.

Yeah, I'm changing that. I'll post as soon as I made the chapter! So you wouldn't be always expecting the updates on Friday! I'm erasing that announcement from my first chapter a/n!

Anyways, see you soon. Hopefully! :)
