Mission report: The new mission.
Date: April 5th
Kazan walks out of a barber shop at night holding a newspaper.
Kazan: Thank you.
He walks into an alleyway and jumps up onto a rooftop. He holds the newspaper as he looks at the cover.
"Interview with the famous author Murasaka Sumi!" Is what the main cover of the paper is.
A lady sits in front of Murasaka with a journal, the page she's on has many questions and blank spots for answers. She has shoulder length blonde hair and light green eyes. She wears glasses with a yellow shirt and jeans
Ito: I'm reporter Ito Chikari. I'm here to interview you, the famous author Murasaka Sumi!
He's a tall man towering at 6'2, he has long purple hair that's well kept. His eyes are a darker shade of purple, he's wearing a navy blue Yukata with a plain white robe underneath.
Murasaka: Nice to meet with you Ito. What questions do you have for me today?
Ito: Well this one has been popularly requested but um...
She blushes.
Ito: What's your wife like?
Murasaka lets out a loud laugh.
Murasaka: This is the first question? She's tall and beautiful. Her gorgeous long white hair makes me think she was kissed by a goddess of snow, maybe she is a goddess.
Ito's blush only gets darker.
Ito: I see.
She writes down his answers.
Ito: This was requested by fans, but why do you always dress in comfort?
Murasaka: I prefer my comfort, either way as your own paper says I'm one of the most handsome men on the planet, why should I try with flashy outfits.
Ito: I see. Would you mind telling us about the story you're currently working on?
Murasaka: Sure thing, the story will be the third and final installment to the series about the vampire hunters. Be sure to read the story, I've poured a lot into this.
He gives a smile at her.
Ito: Sounds like an exciting read! I know I'll be buying a copy.
Murasaka: Good to hear!
Ito: Next highly requested question. Do you um... have any kids?
Murasaka lets out a laugh.
Murasaka: No comment.
Ito blushes as she writes it down.
Ito: Why haven't you tried to meet up with the famous model Hyutto ever since the last time?
Murasaka looks at his watch.
Murasaka: looks like I'm out of time. I have to go.
Kazan reads the newspaper.
"The author gave me a rather cold look when leaving..."
Kazan: Murasaka Sumi... What exactly are you???
April 6th. Right before sunrise.
Mitsuki and Kaiyo are on a mission. To kill five demons in the area. We see Mitsuki and Kaiyo stand over two defeated demons.
Mitsuki: Alright, Looks like we finished early so let's get the last remaining one.
Kaiyo: Right!
Hatsumi jumps down elegantly next to them.
Hatsumi: I've killed my demon!
Mitsuki blushes a little.
Kaiyo: Good job! Let's get this last one!
Izumi walks up to them.
Izumi: No need to. I already killed them both.
Mitsuki: Huh?
Izumi: I'm going to Kokuri and Kasumi's place. See ya.
Izumi walks off putting her sword away.
Kaiyo: It's like she's leagues ahead of us!
Mitsuki: We need to get stronger...
Hatsumi: Now now it's not that big of a deal. Afterall she's been a demon slayer for about a year. We're relatively new to being a demon slayer since we're the same class. We've only been demon slayers since november.
Mitsuki: I-I suppose you're right.
Hatsumi: She's also a higher rank than us.
(Izumi is ranked at Hinoto)
Mitsuki: Probably.
The sun starts to rise.
Kaiyo: Hey what rank are you guys?
Both Mitsuki and Hatsumi raise their hands, clench their fists and shout.
Mitsuki and Hatsumi: Show us our rank!
Hatsumi's rank says Kanoto
Mitsuki's rank says Kanoto
Kaiyo: I see. What about mine!
Kaiyo raises and clenches his fist.
Kaiyo: Show me my rank!
Kaiyo's rank appears as Mizunoe
Hatsumi: If you two went on every mission together? Why is Mitsuki a higher rank than you?
Mitsuki: It's because whoever did the best in the orphanage class was allowed to skip most of the first rank. I've been Mizunoe since after our first mission.
Hatsumi: So you did the best in your class?
Kaiyo: Sadly he did...
Mitsuki: Don't worry brother, you'll probably get promoted after this mission.
Kaiyo: REALLY?!
Mitsuki: Probably...
Hatsumi: Well I'm going to go visit Hyutto. Maybe train with her a bit.
Mitsuki: Alright. W-we'll report to HQ about the mission.
Hatsumi walks away but turns her head to smile at them.
Hatsumi: Thank you.
Mitsuki's face is covered in a blush.
Kaiyo: You seem fond of her.
Mitsuki: Huh?! Let's get to HQ already. Let's get you that promotion.
Kaiyo: Promotion?! Yay!
Mitsuki: That actually worked...
Mitsuki and Kaiyo go up the mine and enter the courtyard.
Mitsuki: This walk in the courtyard is always calming
Kaiyo: You think?
Wolf: WOOF!
Mitsuki: Was that a?
Kaiyo: Why is one here?
Mitsuki: Why is there a wo-
A wolf runs up to Mitsuki and tackles him to the ground. The wolf then starts licking Mitsuki's face.
Mitsuki starts laughing loudly.
Kaiyo: Are you alright?!
Mitsuki: S-stop hahahaha.
A soft voice calls out to the wolf.
Kasumi: Saber, come here.
The wolf perks his head up and runs to Kasumi
Mitsuki: M-Ms. Mizuki!
Mitsuki bows to her.
Kasumi: Kasumi-san is alright.
She smiles at the kids as she starts petting the wolf.
Kaiyo: Is that wolf yours?
Kasumi: Me and Kokuri-san both met Saber two years ago. Back when he was a little baby wolf.
She starts petting him.
Kokuri: You don't need to refer to me in a formal way, Kasumi.
Kasumi: Right.
Kokuri: Hi Kasumi. You look great
Kasumi lightly blushes.
Kasumi: Thank you, you've already said that quite a bit today.
Kokuri: Have I? Hey there Saber.
Mitsuki: Ah! Mr. Tsukiko!
Mitsuki bows to him
Kokuri: I can't recall who youu two are, but it's nice seeing you two.
Kasumi: That one that's bowing is Mitsuki Aozora. The one next to him is Kaiyo Odayakana.
Kokuri: Nice to meet you two.
Kaiyo: We've already met.
Kokuri: I don't remember meeting you two.
Mitsuki: I see...
Kaiyo: Are all the Hashira here right now?
Kasumi: Most of them. We're waiting for Katao to finish his meeting with Atama and Sakura. An emergency hashira meeting was called for right after his meeting with Atama and Sakura.
Mitsuki: Emergency?
Kasumi: Yes...
Inside of HQ there's a meeting that's going on.
Sakura: You guys managed to get the death report from Yuki.
Katao: Yeah, I sent Mitsuki to get it after the funeral.
Atama: So Kenta being near upper moon six only made his condition worse. He would've died within ten minutes after the battle at max.
Sakura: That wouldn't have been fast enough to mass produce a cure. If they would've cured him right then and there. There wouldn't be enough for everyone else.
Katao: Yeah...
Sakura: Also the death report says both of them had a massive increase in body temperature and strength. Kenta shattered an entire street, if it was the demon there would've been left over marks of explosion.
Katao: What are you saying?
Sakura: Their blades were crimson red as well, only for a bit though. When Kazan got back he noticed their colors reverted back to their original colors.
Katao: Crimson red?! That's a color that never naturally forms! The closest we got to a natural crimson red is Kurisu's blade, but even then...
Atama: They awakened it, the demon slayer mark. That's what it seems like.
Sakura: How did they get it though?
Katao: Atama. Do you think they awakened it on their own?
Atama: Of course not!
Sakura: Then...
Atama: It's...
A shocked expression on Katao's face as it skips to the start of the hashira meeting.
Katao: The hashira meeting, shall begin.
We see somewhere far away in a temple looking place. There's a man with white hair and rainbow colored eyes painting on a canvas
Karasuto. A very high ranking demon.
Progenitor: THE DEMON SLAYER MARK IS BACK?! HOW?! I THOUGHT WE KILLED ALL USERS OF IT!
Karasuto: I wonder how they got it back.
Progenitor: AND WE LOST AN UPPER MOON?! IT'S BEEN FOUR YEARS SINCE WE LAST LOST ONE?!
Karasuto: And before that it was a couple hundred years.
Progenitor: DAMMIT!
A giant blast of power comes from her causing the canvas to break and paint to go flying everywhere.
Progenitor: Sorry Karasuto.
Karasuto: it's fine master.
Karasuto makes a new canvas with his flesh and places it.
Progenitor: Summon them.
Karasuto: Yes ma'am.
Karasuto pulls a blade out and slits his wrist open. He takes his paintbrush and covers it in his blood and he writes the kanji for 'seal' on it.
Karasuto: Blood demon art: Demonic canvas, Teleportation seal!
Six circles appear on the floor in front of them. The blood soaks into the canvas as it turns back to white.
Karasuto: It's been forever since an uppermoon meeting.
Karasuto pulls out five jars full of blood and he swiftly paints an odd symbol using the five jars of blood. Each Jar is numbered with 1-5 there's a sixth jar that is now empty.
Karasuto: bring them to me...
Silhouettes appear on each circle as they all are teleported in.
???: Where's the kids I created huh?
A man with crimson red hair says, about the same length as Kurisu's hair. His eyes are crimson as they say 'upper moon' on one eye and 'three' on the other. He wears a crimson red haori. He wears black baggy pants that have red samurai armor on the sides.
Progenitor: They were both killed. I called you guys here to tell you that the demon slayer mark is back. We don't know how many slayers have it.
UM2: Eh? A demon slayer mark?!
UM2 has medium length messy white hair with pure silver eyes.
UM5: So that's how they killed Choko and Koji
We only see the mouth of UM5
Progenitor: If they used their true form from the start then this wouldn't have happened. Either way. I decided to warn you guys. Upper moons may start getting targeted.
UM4: I see. This'll be troublesome.
Only UM4's outfit is visible. It's a red and black military suit with medals on it.
Progenitor: You guys are free to go.
They all get teleported back to their locations.
