"Absolutely not. What if you cut my vein?" Aliza said, backing away from Bonnie and the knife she had in her hands.

Klaus rolled his eyes.

It was evening and Bonnie was going to perform the locating spell. But she needed to go by the order of the symbols. Aliza was not very keen on having to cut her hand for the ritual.

Matt had decided to visit them to make sure that Mystic Falls's peace was not disturbed in any way. He couldn't trust Klaus and his family given the things that had happened whenever they were in town.

Matt had to admit the nickname for Kol was what made him like Aliza.

Stefan sighed, "It's just one small cut."

"Small cut?" Aliza scoffed. She stared at the sharp knife and said, "Uncle Vin's non-existent ass."

Vincent exhaled with disappointment filled eyes and said, "My coven was considered one of the strongest covens in the witch community. I was offered the position of the Regent and I was also a respectable member of the faction. Take me seriously sometimes, Ali, please."

"You do have a small ass though," Rome commented. "No offense," He added when Vincent glared at him.

Matt leaned towards Enzo and whispered, "Are you sure she's related to them?"

"I ask that question twice a day, mate." He whispered back.

Both of them went still when they noticed Rebekah's menacing stare from across the room.

"Why can't you use a syringe?" Aliza whined.

"You're scared of a small knife?" Kol mocked, shaking his head with a smile.

"Dude, you are not going to talk me into this." She snorted, "Say whatever you want, unlike you," She pointed her finger at him, "my ego is not the size of Mount. Fuji."

"How about we use a needle?" Elijah suggested. He knew the way Kol and Aliza were glaring at each other would only result in further delay of the task.

Aliza gulped, glancing at Rome and Vincent.

Rome stepped towards her and reached out to hold her hand. He raised his eyebrows, gesturing at Bonnie who placed the knife on the table and was holding a small needle instead.

"Just a small poke?"

"Just a small poke," Bonnie reassured with a nod and a warm smile.

She squeezed her eyes shut and held her hand out, hovering it above the first map. The grip of her other hand on Rome's grew stronger when she felt the tip of the needle grazing against the skin of her fingertip.

"Done."

Aliza opened an eye, to see drops of her blood dripping on Finn's symbol. She twisted her face in disgust at the metallic smell.

"Here," Caroline said, offering a bandaid to her which she gladly took.

She mumbled a thank you as she began peeling the bandaid. Aliza lifted her head to see Bonnie approach Elijah with the knife. She winced when Bonnie held it against his palm, slicing his skin with the blade, Elijah's blood oozing out and pouring on his symbol.

Bonnie repeated the same process with Klaus and then Kol. Aliza couldn't help but notice the way she kept her eyes focused on Kol's hand, while he kept staring at her with an unreadable expression.

"You guys okay?" She asked, genuinely concerned.

"We're the Originals, darling," Kol replied smugly.

"You are more like the original idiot, but whatever sails your ship."

The sound of Matt's laugh echoed the room followed by the grins of the others.

"Kol," Klaus said, without looking at his brother. He kept his eyes on the map, a huge smile spread on his lip.

"I didn't even start this time!" Kol said incredulously.

"Can we please focus?" Stefan asked, gesturing at the contents on the small round table. As much as he enjoyed the banters between Kol and Aliza, they couldn't afford to waste much time.

Bonnie stepped forward but Kol held his hand out.

"What is it?"

"You two should do it with her," Kol said to Vincent and Rome.

"Bon knows how to do that spell?" Caroline said with a frown.

Kol rolled his eyes and said, "The sword is supposed to be one of the most powerful weapons on earth. If Bonnie were to do this spell alone, she might end up getting hurt."

"He's right," Rome answered, "We can't take any chances."

While Bonnie stood in between Kol and Klaus, Vincent stood by Aliza's right side and Rome on her left. They all reached out and held each other's hands, forming a circle. A map of Mystic Falls was spread on the table on which the symbols were placed along with four candles that were not lit.

Aliza watched in amusement as Vincent, Rome, and Bonnie closed their eyes and began murmuring something in Latin.

'Da mihi nomen. Dic mihi, ubi invenias quod possum volo.'

The lights in the room began to flicker and the temperature rose, making Aliza clench her jaw. As they kept repeating their words, the rustling of the wind grew stronger, banging against the closed door and windows, demanding to be let in.

The candles were lit up, the raging fire made the room even warmer. The blood on the symbols began rushing towards the map below.

Something squirmed inside Aliza, a pull in her chest that was so strong she was afraid her heart would pump out of her chest. A knot in her stomach, twisting so hard that it made her want to throw up.

Everyone's eyes widened when Aliza screamed.

She held her head in her hands, her legs lost control as she fell on the ground. Her head was hammering furiously, making her cry in pain and agony.

'You are doing the right thing, mother.'

'I'm truly awed by the evolution of mankind.'

The pain was too much for her to handle. Her throat was burning, a hollowness in her chest that only made her head heavier. She couldn't speak or comprehend what was happening.

'When it is time, I will be ready to die.'

'I never stopped loving you. Finn, I don't want you to die.'

Next thing she knew she couldn't breathe. Aliza felt like she was being held underwater. There were voices all around her but she couldn't hear what any of them were saying. She wanted the pain to stop.

'To living life.'

'Always and Forever.'

Slowly the pain began to fade away, her body went limp. She groaned and pressed her hand against her face.

"Aliza?" Rome asked, holding her close and shaking her.

"We need to lay her down." Klaus urged, immediately by Rome's side.

Elijah sped to the other side and lifted Aliza in his arms, not wasting another second he took her to the nearest room, Kol following behind. He placed her on the bed.

"What the hell is going on?" Matt asked. His voice mixed with concern and confusion. The awful pain was evident on Aliza's face.

"I'll fetch some water," Bonnie said, rushing to the kitchen.

"Her pulse is normal," Kol informed when Rome and Vincent barged into the room with others behind them.

Rome sat beside Aliza, wrapping an arm around her shoulders, while Vincent stood next to him, looking just as deathly worried for her.

Klaus took the glass from Bonnie's hand when she entered the room and walked to the other side where Elijah was tending to Aliza.

Elijah stood up, letting Klaus sit in his place.

"There you go, love," Klaus said, bringing the glass filled with water near her mouth.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"She's sleeping," Rome informed through the phone. After making sure Aliza was going to be alright, he decided to call Mithila.

She sighed with relief, "What happened?"

Rome shook his head solemnly and replied, "I don't know. Maybe it's because of the sword."

"God, this whole thing." Mithila said, tired from all the tension, "Did you get the location?"

Rome huffed, "It's hidden in the tomb." He informed, "Trust Esther to be subtle."

"You should go to sleep. It's late." Mithila said with a soft voice.

"I don't think I will get proper sleep any time soon. At least not till all this is over."

"You and me both."

"I'll call you when monkey wakes up, Okay? Love you."

"I love you, too."

Rome placed his phone in the pocket of his jeans. He ran a hand on his face, to wipe the sweat off. He thought his heart stopped when Aliza screamed, his hands were shaking even though Stefan assured that she just needed some rest to recover.

He turned around to see Rebekah and Klaus entering the room.

"Kol and Elijah will be staying in her room for the night," Rebekah informed. Both her brothers were grimly concerned. She too had been taken aback by what happened. It was hard to watch Aliza scream.

"Thanks," He replied with a nod.

"I don't understand one thing," Klaus began, "How did you convince my mother to help Mithila?" He had been aware of her mother's nature. Even though she did sacrifice herself, he knew it was all because of the guilt she felt. There was no way she could've helped them without asking something in return.

Rome smiled, "She was the one who came to us."

"She did?" Rebekah asked, surprise evident in her voice. Her mother wasn't the most charitable of all witches. It seemed out of character for her to offer something like that to anyone.

He nodded and continued, "Mithila and I are childhood friends. Even though we both belonged to rival covens, we still managed to keep our friendship a secret." He could help but laugh as he said, "I honestly never thought she could ever love me."

Rebekah smiled.

"When she did confess, I suggested the idea of running away. But our covens, both were strict in terms of morals and they would've found us somehow and killed us. But one day we met your mother and she somehow knew about our problem and made us an offer."

"Which was?"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"I will help you only if you help me."
Rome glanced at Mithila and then back at Esther Mikaelson who stood in front of them.
It was the middle of the night, and he and Mithila were taking a stroll in the park, discussing what they could do to escape their covens and start a new life.
Mithila had informed him about Vincent offering them refuge, thinking about walking away from New Orleans after being possessed by the eldest Mikaelson but Rome knew if they just fled, their leaders would track them down and have them killed for breaking the number one rule of all covens. Loyalty.
They didn't expect Esther to be sitting on the park bench, waiting for their arrival.
"What do you want?" Mithila asked.
"I want you to carry my son's child," Esther replied, briskly.
"Your son already has a daughter," Rome snapped, "Her name's Hope, in case you're wondering."
"Not Niklaus," Esther shook her head, "Finn."
"Finn is a vampire. That's impossible."
"Not if I use my magic." She showed them a bottle that had blood stored in it.
"My eldest son has been nothing but loyal to me. And I want to make sure that he has his own legacy after he dies."
"What do you mean after he dies?" Rome asked, confused by what Esther was talking about. As far as he knew Finn Mikaelson was already dead.
"I can't explain everything to you. But Finn will be coming back only to die again and I want to leave a piece of him behind. I am asking this as a mother," Esther said, her voice growing soft, "I will make sure that your coven never finds you but you have to promise me you will take care of the child and love her like your own."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"She knew he was going to die?" Klaus asked. His mother was a powerful witch but he never would've guessed her to know the events of the future.

"That's what completed the spell," Rome shrugged.

It was a unique bond, Finn's death was the true reason for Aliza's existence. Esther had told them it was necessary for the ritual as she couldn't be there to save her son from his demise.

Even though she wasn't his own, Rome loved Aliza with all his heart and it was something Klaus couldn't help but admire.

"I wonder what else mommy dearest has kept hidden." Rebekah wondered.

Soon Aliza will know the truth. I was playing intense music when I was writing this chapter for some reason. I used google translator for the spell. Lmao.

Howdy folks! How's this chapter? I modified it just an hour ago.

I only work well under pressure.
