I walk walking at a safe distance between them. My heart was aching.
Why did she lie to me?
I tried not to be suspicious and luckily I had a hoodie and mask so I could cover my face.

It was already the past 10 minutes and I'm still wondering why she lied
Maybe she didn't want to hurt my feelings?
Why didn't she tell me earlier rather than lying?
I sighed and continued to follow them.
I was almost reaching to Jake's place so I called him and asked how long he'll be here.
Luckily he would come in 5 minutes.
I sighed and waited near his house.
Yeonjun passed me but never bothered to show any signs of suspicion towards me.
yeon-a why would you?

"Goodnight baby." Yeonjun pecked Yeon-a's cheek and hugged her.
"Are you walking home?" she scanned his eyes
"Yeah. But I don't mind."
"You sure?" he gave Yeon-a a reassuring smile before waving goodbye to her.
She sighed and unlocked the front door.
There was silence.
"They haven't come back yet? Weird" Yeon-a went into her room and laid on her bed
She groaned and sat up realising that she was still wearing Yeonjun's jacket.
"How do I give this to him?" she took a deep breath and rubbed her temples.
"Life is hard" Yeon-a was irritated for nothing.
Why am I so stressed out?
Is it because I lied to him?
I should apologise.
no. I shouldn't
But he might think bad of me even more.
"Yeon-a! I'm home!" she heard her brother's voice from downstairs Damn he's loud.
She opened the door and went downstairs to see both Jake and Jungwon.
Jungwon?
"I thought you'd come later than I expected."
"It was cold. So I wanted to go home."
Lies. Jungwon thought
"Where were you anyway?"
"I was out. With Areum."
Jungwon felt mentally unstable. He couldn't bear hearing Yeon-a lie in front of his face.
Why did I even follow them in the first place?
"Jungwon's going to stay here for one more night. Hope you don't mind." Jake winked at Yeon-a which made her grimace.

"why'd you wink?"
"oh. Sorry, I realised you had a boyfriend. whoops"
Jungwon's heart was pounding.
"anyways, I'm going to my room. bye~"
Yeon-a rushed upstairs into her room and screamed into her pillow.

Yeon-a was interrupted with her conversation by Jungwon.
He didn't bother knocking the door and went inside her room.
"Jungwon? What are you doing?" he ignored her and sat on her bed.
"So, you said you went out with Areum right?" she nodded slowly.
If you pretend to be confused. he'll believe you.
"Isn't Areum a girl?"
"Yeah. why?"
"and who's that messaging you non stop?" he was referring to Yeon-a's phone in her hand. Notifications went off every second.
how does he type so fast?
"why? is it your business?"
Jungwon was taken aback. yeon-a's attitude just changed instantly.
She would always talk to him with a sweet voice.
"i- uh-"
"if you're going to try and make me fall in love with you then tough. I show no interest in you."
he was lost for words.
"even sunoo can manage to get a girl without messing up," she mumbled under her breath but Jungwon could still hear her.
Jungwon fiddled with his fingers. He couldn't believe what she said.
I messed up.
Big time.
"I lied because I didn't want to hurt you, and now you're trying to make me fall in love with you? Very funny. Well hate to break it to you but I'm not that easy to get ok?"
Jungwon had the urge to do it.
The urge to kiss her.
"and don't think I got with Yeonjun because of getting over you. I never got into you. I never will anyway."
He was getting impatient
"Yeonjun is a great guy. he's a hard one to get. I may be rubbing some dirt on your face but I want you to understand right?"
no. you don't understand
"so don't expect me running up to you because he broke up with me or something. It's been a day in and he's making me feeling like I'm his princess"
His heart starting pounding
"I never knew why I stared at you that day. Why I even went into my brother's room. We're moving to fast, well, I may be moving too fast but that's reality. And reality can't be changed"
"yeon-a" his voice was slow and steady. He had to do it.
He needed to.
"I think you should be educated properly cause I don't even think you're listening to me"
Jungwon clenched his fists.
"Yeon-a"
"I don't even know I kissed you, in fact, why I let you kiss me. I feel like I'm going crazy. Why are you even friends with my brother? Was it because he was at his worst and you were there for him? Maybe that's what you're going to do to me if i break up with Yeonjun. But trust me,"
She looked into his eyes whilst laughing.
"I'm never letting that happen"
The room was dead silent. Yeon-a glared at Jungwon.
"Yeon-a will you just please listen."
"listen? You expect me to listen to you and your shit? Never gonna happen her-"
He cut her off by kissing her.
Jungwon calmed down.
As for Yeon-a, she was surprised by his actions.
She couldn't move.
She didn't stop him.
He deepened the kiss a bit more whilst wrapping his arm around Yeon-a's waist.
"J-jung-w-won" he pulled away and looked into her eyes.
why are you so pretty?
His arms were still around her waist.
"i- i- have a boyfriend. You shouldn't be doing this" her face softened and stared into Jungwon's eyes.
"what else am I supposed to do if you won't listen?"
He tilted his head and smiled.
"I know you lied,"
"but i just can't let go of you like that."
"I love you Yeon-a. I can't bear seeing you like this."
"Jungwon-"
he Yeon-a off again by hugging her tightly.
"I can't let go. You're too special."
"you were special ever since we were little."
