Aurora POV
"Aye you ready Aurora?!" I heard Von yell as I was getting ready for his listening party
"Just a few more minutes" I responded
He walked into my room and said "you takin hella long, how imma be late to my own damn listenin party"
"Oh how the tables have turned..." I laughed
"Fuck that supposed to mean?!" he asked
"It means when I tell you I need to be somewhere on time you never care, now you see how it feels...but anyways how do I look?" I asked
"Ugly, come on" he responded
We walked downstairs to get in my car and I was weaving through traffic as fast as possible to get him there on time
When we arrived Von jumped out before I could even stop the car and rushed in
From there I just valeted my car because parking was slim and it cost $35...really
As soon as I walked in one of the security guards took me to an area where I had a reserved seat with the rest of their friends
I was sat right next to Booka which would not have been my first choice...
After Booka blew a big cloud of smoke he turned my way and said "what's up lil mama"
I smiled politely and focused my attention to the stage
Moments later I saw Von running out on the stage with Durk and the rest of their crew
He performed Crazy Story and Durk did a verse that is supposedly on Crazy Story Pt. 2
The show finished up pretty quickly as it was just a small listening party
I saw a few celebs here but I honestly don't get starstruck
I turned around and saw Drake standing there and he caught me looking
"Aye, what's your name?" he asked
"Aurora" I replied super fast smiling extra big
"Who you with?" he asked
"Umm...I'm Von's sister"
"Oh okay, he killed it tonight. I gotta song comin out with Durk soon, imma have to invite you to my listen party" he replied
"No way?!" I instantly regretted my response as I would never want to come off thirsty
"Hell yeah, what's your IG?" he asked
I gave it to him and he said he would be in touch. I can't lie...that definitely made my night
I got up to get some water after I already had three martinis and bumped into someone
When I turned around Durk was standing there. Great.
"Aye Aurora, how you been?" Durk asked taking a step back and looking me up and down
"Uhh...phenomenal...uhhh...how about you?" I stuttered
"Not too bad myself, he did his thing tonight huh?" he asked
"Absolutely, so proud..." I responded
"Well..you look beautiful" he complimented
I blushed "haha thanks, you look rather handsome yourself"
He just smiled extra big and showed me all his teeth that were filled with diamonds
Then some random guy bumped into me spilling a bunch of drinks all over me...thankfully they were clear but I'm completely wet now
"Oh my gosh..." I muttered
"Aye man watch where the fuck you goin" Durk said as he grabbed a bunch of napkins off a table to help dry me off
The guy that spilled on me tried to help as well and said "I'm so sorry miss, really, my apolo..."
"Man just get the fuck...aye bro get security and tell em to get this clown the fuck outta here man" Durk shouted to one of his friends that was also wearing an OTF chain
"Umm I'm sorry sir I have to finish my time here tonight to get paid.." the guy said nervously
Durk immediately walked up to him and said "I don't wanna have to repeat myself"
The guy quickly ran away and I bursted out laughing
"What's funny?" Durk asked walking back to me
"It was just an accident" I laughed
"Nah that was a big fuck up..you good tho?" he asked
"I mean I have on a white dress that's covered in liquor now but otherwise I'm all good" I smiled and he laughed
I was a little bit tipsy but nothing too crazy
"Yeah I mean it is all over you, nothing too noticeable though.." Durk said licking his lips and looking me up and down again
Some of his friends came up to us and asked him if he was ready to go
"Yeah, just gimme a minute" he quickly responded
"So...when imma get my turn to take you on a date?" he asked
"Well...I didn't know your were interested" I said walking closer to him
"You ain't gimme a chance to" he laughed
"Well I'm off Friday's now so...I got a huge promotion at work"
"Well you get with a nigga like me you won't have to work"
I smiled extra big this time "Durk...I wanna ask you something.."
"What?"
I felt someone walk up behind me and then Von through his arm around my shoulder
"That shit was lit!" Von yelled
"Yeah bro it's already getting radio play, just as planned"
"Sound like some long money 'bout to come my way bro" he said and they started talking about a bunch of business stuff
Everyone had pretty much left at this point except for the staff and security, us and the rest of their little crew
About 30 minutes went by and we finally were walking outside
I was waiting for my car to be brought up and Durk pulled me to the side
"Aye whatchu wanted to ask me earlier?" he asked
"Umm...it's okay it can wait"
"Until our date?"
I'm shocked he brought that up again I really didn't think he was serious
"That works...just text me or FaceTime me so I can know when.."
"Well you said you off Friday's, so next Friday. Pretty soon you'll be off everyday.."
I laughed and went in to hug him goodbye
All of a sudden I heard a bunch of gunshots and people yelling to get down
Durk pulled me back inside so fast and laid over me until the bullets stopped
"Holy shit" I said crying as I saw everyone ducking and the shooter pulling off
All the bullets stopped and I saw everyone slowly getting up in a state of shock
"I think they done now, you okay?!" he said sitting up and staring into my eyes
I was still crying and he started wiping my tears
"Don't cry, I gotchu" he said comforting me
"Ugh...thanks, that was so scary...are you okay?"
"Babygirl I'm used to it, just gotta stay ready"
I realized Durk was literally on top of me and I just started to feel like everything was okay
I don't know what it is about him or between us...maybe it's just in my head
"Aurora.." I heard Durk say lowly
"Hmm?" I said staring back at him and then he leaned in to kiss me
He kissed me a few times slowly and I felt like I wanted to take mine and his clothes off on this floor in this very moment
Then I heard Von walk in and say "fuck y'all niggas doin kissin and shit"
Durk quickly got up and said "well I did save her life"
"Bro...you" Von started to say but then Durk cut him off
"Aye, everybody good? We need to figure out who the fuck that was" Durk said
"Yea nigga everyone good, I'm tryna figure out the fuck goin on here" Von replied
"Nothing" Durk smiled and looked back at me
Von looked upset for some reason so I got up and just said "well I think we should get out of this area now while it's safe"
We all rushed out this time and there was a bunch of security around Durk getting him into his car
"Aye, I don't want y'all riding in that...need to be in somethin bullet proof" Durk said rolling down his window
"Ummm well what happens to my car?" I quickly asked
"I'll have a driver take it to your apartment, just come on" Durk said rolling his window back up
Von pulled me by my air to Durk's car and Von got in the passenger seat and I got in the back next to Durk and Booka
I saw Booka loading his gun and my eyes got extra big
"What you ain't ever seen a gun before?" Booka laughed
"I mean...no I don't think so...why do you have it out anyway?" I asked semi terrified
"We just got shot at lil mama, you think we gonna let that shit slide?" he responded
I started freaking out and just stared back at him
Then Von said "I got a drop on them niggas, time to slide"
