Chapter Twenty One

Third Person's POV

The three werewolves, one werecoyote, phoenix, and human ran through the tombs of the church ruins together before the eldest of the group stopped them.

"Okay, everyone stop, stop, stop, stop, stop. We gotta figure out where we are, then we gotta figure out how to find Scott and Kira." Peter said. Stiles's phone rang in his pocket. His father's contact popped up on the screen.

"How do I even have service?" Stiles mumbled stepping forward before answering the phone. "Hi, Dad. Okay, Dad, I know you're angry."

"Oh, I'm beyond angry. I've reached a level of fury that you could not possibly comprehend." Sherrif Noah Stilinksi replied. Stiles exchanged looks with his roommate.

"Okay, well, when I get back, you can ground me." Stiles offered.

"Ground you? Ground you? I'm going to hobble you both!" Noah yelled into the receiver. He was full of absolute rage at the fact that his kids had disobeyed his orders and went to Mexico anyway. "Now, please, tell me you're all right. Tell me that you're both safe."

"You want me to lie?" Stiles asked.

"Oh, God." Noah sighed. "Okay. Tell me, tell me what I can do. How can I help?"

"Check on Lydia for me," Stiles said. "She was at the school when we called Mason to look for her, but now we're not hearing back from either of them. I don't know, Dad, I don't know what I'm doin'. You know, I'm just... I'm trying to save my friends."

"Okay. I'll find Lydia and Mason. You get Scott and Kira. You save your friends." Noah replied.

"Dad, if it's one of the Berserkers at the school, you're gonna need firepower. A lot." Stiles told his father and hung up the phone. He walked back to the group.

"What do we do now?" Liam asked. Malia saw something coming from the side and grabbed on to Liam's collar.

"Duck!" She yelled as a Berserker swung its fist toward them. Isaac grabbed Mac, pulling her back.

"Let's go!" He yelled, starting his run. The rest quickly followed yelling for everyone to move faster. The Berserker was hot on their tail. They came upon a room, quickly stopping. Malia tossed Kira's sword to Stiles.

"Go find Kira and Scott." She said. He looked like he wanted to argue, "Go." With that, he left the room. The rest of the supernatural creatures turned to face off with the incoming Berserker, except Peter who hid behind a pillar. The Berserker entered the room. The teens growled, getting ready for the showdown.

Outside the building, Braden faced off against Kate and another Berserker. She fired her shotgun until she ran out of bullets. She pulled two pistols out of her pants. Unfortunately, her guns didn't stop the two enemies from approaching. The Berserker knocked away her gun, wrapped a hand around her throat, and held her up against the wall.

"How much did they pay you?" Kate asked the bounty hunter.

"Way more than you're worth." Braden spat back. Jeeps drove around the corner, causing the Berserker to drop Braden to the ground. Before any more words could be exchanged, shots started flying toward the pair. They took off, while the Mexican hunters fired on them. Chris Argent and Jordan Parrish also fired a few shots, but unfortunately, Kate was able to get away.

While the hunters hunted Kate down, the fight had commenced inside. The five supernatural beings all fought against a Berserker. They knew they needed to kill him if they wanted to search for their friends. Each of them took a swing at the creature, using what they could to take the creature down. Little did they know, the creature that they were fighting was the one person they came to save.

Finally, they had the upper hand. Liam and Peter held the creature against the wall. Malia grabbed a bone knife off the ground and tossed it to Mac who was closer.

"Take him. Aim for the skull!" Peter yelled. "Kill it. Kill it now!"Mac walked forward, letting her flames coat her body and the weapon. She was going to make sure the Berserker was gone. If the weapon didn't work, she was going to burn it to ash.

"No, wait, wait. Mac, wait!" Stiles yelled running into the room. It was too late. Mac was already in motion to end it. Kira came from the aide, using her katana, cutting the knife in half. Mac stepped back and turned to look at Kira like she was crazy.

"It's Scott. It's Scott." Stiles explained. The teenagers looked back at the struggling monster and saw familiar eyes behind the skull head. Scott pulled out of the grasp and knocked Liam to the ground. He punched Mac in the face and made his way toward Liam.

"Scott? Scott, don't!" Kira yelled at her boyfriend.

"Scott, it's me," Stiles said, trying to break his best friend out of his trance. It didn't work and Scott swung his arm, backhanding Stiles to the ground.

"Scott, don't!" Isaac yelled. Nothing deterred him though. He wrapped his hand around Liam's throat and lifted him from the ground.

"Scott." Liam pleaded. "Scott, Scott, listen, listen, listen! You're not a monster! You're a werewolf! Like me." Something in his words triggered Scott. Just like that, he was back in his right mind. They all watched in amazement as Scott stripped his armor, roaring as he broke out of the animal mask.

"You," Scott said looking at Peter. Everyone turned at looked at the older werewolf. "The only one who knew as much as Argent about Berserkers. About the Nagual. You taught Kate. You helped her. All for power."

"For my family's power. To be rightfully inherited by me." Peter said. Malia stepped away in disbelief. "Not usurped by some idiot teenage boy, so incorruptible, he won't shed the blood of his enemies even when justified. You don't deserve your power. Not power like this."

Peter let his wolf out, his face transforming. Malia roared at her father. She went to attack but he pushed her back into some debris on the ground, knocking her unconscious.

"Oh, sorry, sweetheart, we'll talk about this later," Peter said sarcastically.

"I'm gonna kill him and this time there won't be anything to bring back," Mac growled out, letting her flames burn brightly.

"I'll help," Isaac growled, flicking out his claws. Kira swung her sword, getting into a fighting stance.

"Stand down," Scott growled out. The three teens stepped back, letting their Alpha handle this fight.

"What did I tell you? We'd save Scott and be out before the sunrise." Braden said as the group stood outside the ruins.

"Technically you said we'd be home." Mac corrected.

"Also, the sun is already starting to rise," Isaac added.

"Close enough," Braden said with a smile. The three of them, plus Derek, stood together watching Chris leave with the Calaveras. He made a deal with them. He would help them hunt down Kate and in return, the Calaveras would leave Scott and his pack alone.

"I think we all better head out," Derek said as the hunters drove away.

"Keep in touch, both of you," Mac said, hugging Derek. Derek and Braden were taking a break from Beacon Hills. They weren't sure where they were going yet.

"You too. Don't get in too much trouble." Derek said, pulling away and patting Isaac on the shoulder. "I know how you two can get. Keep an eye on the others."

"We'll try," Isaac said, smiling at his former Alpha. The two teens headed over to their current Alpha, exchanging smiles of relief with the rest of their pack. They survived another major event with someone trying to kill them.

"Stiles, how much trouble do you think we're in?" Mac asked as she followed the boy and Malia into the police station.

"I think he'll just be happy we're okay." Stiles deduced. When they got to the entrance of the Sherrif's office, Noah hoped up and pulled his son into his arms.

"Dad, you smell terrible," Stiles said.

"Yup. You do too." Noah said and released Stiles. He pulled Mac into his arms next. She was the daughter he's always wanted and he was just as relieved to see she was back in one piece.

"I'm sorry for running off like that," Mac said.

"I know," Noah replied. When he finished hugging her, he turned and looked at Malia, opening his arms for a hug. "Hi, Malia."

"Hi." She said with a smile. The four of them joined in one big group hug.

"I'm just so glad you're all safe. Hey, what do you say we get outta here, get something to eat?" Noah said looking at the girls, sliding a handcuff over her son's wrist secretly.

"Great. I'm starving." Stiles exclaimed.

"Okay," Noah said and started leading the girls out of the door. Stiles tried to follow, only to be pulled back. That's when he realized he was cuffed to the table.

"Yo, Daddy?" Stiles called out.

"What's your favorite food?" Noah asked ignoring his son.

"Uh, pizza," Malia responded.

"Hey." Stiles shook his wrist. "What about Mac? She went too."

"She'd just break outta them," Noah responded. He led the girls out to his squad car, Stiles still calling out from his spot about fairness and asking for a slice to be brought back.

The next day after school, Mac sat in Coach's office, helping him with paperwork for the next upcoming game.

"You know, I could fire you from being the team manager." He said.

"No, you couldn't Coach. I help this ship run." Mac responded.

"You think I can't do this without you, McCall? I've been the Coach for years." Coach Finnstock asked.

"Oh, please. You were drowning in paperwork. I make your life easier." Mac teased her favorite teacher back.

"Make my life easier. Missing practice to go to Mexico, fraternizing with the enemy." Coach scoffed.

"The enemy?" Mac asked.

"You think I haven't seen you and that Talbot kid from Devenford Prep? The gross googly eyes fueled by teenage horomones that you make at each other." Coach said, making a disgusted face. Mac blushed a deep red.

"I have no idea what you're talking about Coach." Mac denied the allegations.

"Yeah, whatever." Coach replied. There were a few moments of silence before he looked up at Mac. "Hey, Mac. I need you to do me a favor. Scott, Stiles, Isaac, and Liam. I need you to keep an eye on them. Boys are idiots, trust me. Women are the superior gender and I need you to watch their back, keep them out of trouble."

"Don't worry Coach. I'll do my best." Mac said with a big smile. With everyone back safe, Peter locked in the supernatural ward of Eichen house, and the Deadpool gone. Everything was seemingly going back to normal. Little did they know, things were going to take a dark turn.
