"hello?" Vanessa answers her phone while getting into a cab on her way to a fitting for Versace.
"Hey are you busy?" a tired Timothée asks on the the other line
"um yeah kinda but I can talk" Vanessa says
"Okay cool so can you come over later?"
"Any specific reason?" She asks
"I miss you" Timothée says like a child
"Fine I'm sold, I'll see you at 6" she hangs up before he could speak and smiles to herself excited to see Timothée later.
Vanessa is at her fitting, when her phone rings. It's her agent Bethany.
"Hey Beth" She answers
"Are you dating Timothée Chalamet?" Bethany asks straight forwardly
"Don't lie to me I have a picture of you making out in front of me" she quickly says before Vanessa could respond
"Oh my god, what?" Vanessa shouts out confused, receiving weird looks from the people working around her
"The paparazzi got a photo of you guys kissing in front of your apartment, he was in a car and you look directly at the camera before you kissed him."
"Shit, that means they were hiding because I looked around before I did"
"What do I do? I can try to block it if you want"
"I don't know Beth let me call him and ask what he wants to do because my last relationship was ruined because it was constantly in the public eye" Vanessa confesses
"I know I know and I will take care of this, whatever you want just let me know"
"Thanks Beth"
Vanessa finished her fitting early and caught a a cab to take her to Timothée's. It was 5pm so the traffic was insane so she pulled out her phone and called him.
"Heyy, I was just about to call you, are you on your way?" He answered enthusiastically
"yeah I am, I'm just stuck in traffic so I think I'll be a while"
"Well I know I'm gonna see you anyways but I wanted to ask you if you'd like to come with me to the GQ party on Friday"
"Like as your date?" Vanessa responded sounding more upset and confused than thrilled like Timothée expected
"Yeah exactly as my date" Timothée responded excitedly
"Don't you think it's a bit soon? You know to go public" she responds getting quieter
"I don't really care about the public, if they know they know and I'm never really public with my relationships so doesn't it show that I really like you?" He responded kinda sounding like a douche but sentimental ?
"I don't know Timmy, I don't think it's a good idea" she responded softly
"Oh yeah it's okay" he responded disappointedly. There was a small moment of silence before Vanessa spoke
"Traffic is starting to pick up so I'll see you soon"
"Okay bye I'll see you" he sounded sad before he hung up
Vanessa was looking out the window of the cab and was admiring the odd beauty that is New York, she only ever enjoyed New York and hated staying and different places for a while. New York was her home and nothing could change that. A loud buzz catches her attention to see a message from Beth
Beth

Oh great, thank you so much Beth
I wouldn't know what I would do without you

Which reminds me don't forget the GQ awards
party is on Friday and they want you to
present an award
With that Vanessa turned her phone off and noticed that car had stopped, she was so lost in thought earlier that she didn't notice that she was already at Timothée's apartment. She payed the cab driver and proceeded to walking into the building, into the elevator and down the long corridor until she was standing outside her door. Before she could knock the door swings open
"Hey sorry i didn't know you arrived " Giullian opens the door letting Vanessa in before heading out
"And where are you rushing off to?" Vanessa asks chuckling
"I don't know my beautiful girlfriend's obnoxious roommate isn't home" he jokes
"See you in the AM Giullian" Vanessa laughs
Vanessa walking to the apartment and proceeds to take off her heels leaving them next to the couch, she can't see Timothée anywhere in the apartment so she takes off her jacket and she walks towards the bedroom knocking on the door
"Giullian did you forget your keys" Timothée shouts from the other side of the door
"It's not Giullian" Vanessa speaks out before the door opens and Timothée looks extremely excited to see her
"Hi babe, how was your day?" Timothée asks quickly pecking her on the lips. Vanessa was a bit taken back when she heard babe but proceeded to ignore it
"It was okay I guess just busy but how was yours?"
"I went for a meeting with Brian to discuss going to Budapest"
"Yeah? So what do you wanna do?" Vanessa asks excitedly, starting to walking towards the kitchen
"How about this?" Timothée responds while grabbing Vanessa's arm and pulling her in for a kiss. The kiss lasted for a bit before Vanessa pulled away
"God you're so cheesy" She blushed
"You say that but I know you love it" he winks at her before her phone stars ringing it's Beth
"Hey, you need to tell me who your plus one is for the GQ party" Beth asks
"Oh shit yeah. I'll probably go alone or bring Rebecca"
"Are you sure?" Beth says
"I have a new client his name is Regé-Jean Page and Vanessa when I tell you he is hot, he is hot! But I think it would be great if you guys met and went with each other" Beth suggests trying to convince Vanessa
"I need to meet him first but I honestly don't mind. If it keeps my private relationships out of the press than it's okay plus it's work and who knows maybe a new friendship" Vanessa says
"That's the spirit!" Beth exclaims
"I'll send you his number and you guys can make plans before Friday so then it won't be as awkward" Beth explains
"Okay cool thank you Beth, byee" Vanessa hangs up the phone and looks at Timothée
"What was that about?" He asks curiously
"Just Beth wants me to go with some new actor to the GQ party" she explains
"Oh I thought you weren't going" he says kind of hurt
"I need to go it's work but I can't go with you and I hope you understand" Vanessa explains realising what's she's done
"Yeah yeah it's okay" he says bluntly and annoyed
Vanessa tries to give Timothée a hug but he dodges and ignores it. Vanessa walks to the couch and puts her shoes on before gathering all her belongings
"I think I should go, you know long day and everything" Vanessa says only to leave because she sense that something is off and if you she stays longer it will only make it worse
"Yeah okay" Timothée says
"I'll see you later" she says before giving Timothée a soft apologetic hug and leaving his apartment to walk to hers
