-Madeline's P.O.V-
Scott, Stiles, and I were currently in the Animal Clinic because Derek escaped. "I don't think he's only younger in his body, i think he's younger in his mind to" Deaton explained while Lydia bandages his arm where young Derek scratched him.
"He didn't recognize either of us, and he looked like he was scared out of his mind" said Lydia walking over to us. "So, if you are a teenage werewolf where would you go?" asked Stiles trying to put himself in Derek's shoes.
"A wolf goes back to its den" Scott analyzed.
"But Derek lives in a loft" i said looking at my brother confused.
"Not when he was a teenager"Stiles pointed out.
"The Hale house" answered Lydia.
"He wouldn't remember the fire, it wouldn't have happened yet" said Deaton holding his wound. We all looked at each other worried.
"Hold on so if you do get to catch up to him, what are you gonna say to him? That his whole family is dead?" asked Lydia.
Shoot, we didn't think about that one. We can't just go to him and say 'Hey Derek your family is dead move on' that would be rude.
"I guess I'm gonna have to" said Scott looking unsure. "Oh good luck with that" said Lydia sarcastically looking at Scott. "Yeah she's probably right maybe you shouldn't, well at least until we figure out how to get him back to normal" said Stiles looking at Scott and me.
"I can't lie to him" Scott stated. "Okay, I'll do it" stated Stiles confident. "Uh, i don't think any of us can. Remember he can hear our heartbeat rising. When we find him we tell him the truth" said Scott stating a good point. "If he gets to the house first, you won't have to" stated Deaton looking at us.

Both boys and I ran inside the station to see that Derek was already there and the Sheriff looking amused.
"I'll handle this" i heard the sheriff say. Then gestured us to follow him inside his office.
"I want you to be honest with me absolutely and completely honest with me," said the Sheriff to us three. I just nodded and Scott gestures him to continue. "Have you been time traveling?" he asked taking us three by surprise.
"Hang on-what?" said Stiles confused.
"Cause if time traveling is real, you know what i-I'm done I'm out. You're going to be driving me to Eichen House" said Stiles's dad really irritated. I muffled a laugh.
"We found him like that" said Scott and i nodded. "Where? Swimming in a fountain of youth!" he exclaimed. "Not really" i said and he looked at me wide-eyed.
"No. We found him buried in a tomb of wolfsbane, in an Aztec temple in Mexico underneath a church in a town that was destroyed by an earthquake" Stiles says everything that we were not supposed to even mention.
I sighed and facepalmed. "You told me you went camping!" spat Sheriff looking mad.
"And we were, i-it was in Mexico" Stiles continued. "Stiles, shut up" i said and the Sheriff turned to me.
"You took Madeline!" he said and i bit my lower lip.
"Derek's been aged backward. He can't remember anything" said Scott trying to change the subject and diverting us back to the problem I was really nervous about. "We just need to talk to him" said Stiles. I saw the Sheriff sigh and sit on his desk looking overwhelmed.
"Well, unfortunately, he's not talking to anybody" Stilinski said and i frowned. "It is Derek he doesn't really talk much" i said but got ignored.
"He'll talk to me" said Scott looking over at young Derek. Noah Stilinski told Derek to come inside the office.
"Why would i go anywhere with you?" questioned Derek. He doesn't remember us and so doesn't want to go anywhere with us. Even after we explained some things. "Because we're friends" i said and he looked over at me raising his eyebrows.
"And there was an accident, you lost some memory but we can help you get it back" tried Scott.
I frowned as i felt some weird feeling on my back. It kind of itch but it hurt at the same time. I've been having it for a while now and well it's annoying.
"You okay?" asked Stiles beside me. I turned to him and smiled. "Yeah, totally just a little itchy on the back" i said and he nodded eyebrows raised.
"You're an alpha" i heard Derek say and turned to them. Derek looked at Scott's eyes looking a little less suspicious but not completely.
"Okay, who are you? Who are they? Who are you?" Derek asked and i sighed. "We're the only ones that can help you right now" i said and Derek looked at me.
"Oh and the people keeping you out of jail" said Stiles bluntly.
"Let us help you" said Scott.
"No" refused Derek.
"Okay dude, you almost tore apart two cops back there. You need to listen to us and that starts with no fangs, no claws, and no wolfing out, you got that?" Stiles warned and i gave him a look.
"I'm fine unless it's not on a full moon" Derek said. Now that's weird the Derek i know never had trouble with the full moon.
"You're still having trouble with the full moon?"
"I said I'm fine!" Derek answered Scott.
"Okay so are you coming me with us or not?" asked Stiles annoyed.
"You don't trust you?" questioned Derek.
"Fine, don't trust them, trust me" i said looking at Derek in the eyes. He looked at me and sighed.
"Where's my family?" he asked making me feel sad for him.
I looked at Scott then Stiles and they both seemed confused about what to say. "There was a fire and..." Scott trailed off. I saw the look of fear in Derek's eyes i couldn't let him know the truth.
"They're not here, they're okay but out of Beacon Hills. We'll take you to them after we get your memories back" i lied my ass off.
I mean it was better than say. 'Oh hey, your family died, wanna come with us'
"Okay" he said and i smiled. After that, the Sheriff came back in and took him to sign some papers.
"I feel terrible" i said biting my lip. "Don't worry Mads, you did what's best for him" said Stiles. "Better than me" said Scott and put his arm around my shoulders.
"Now we solve this and then we go back to being happy, except for Derek whose never happy" said Stiles and i chuckled. Derek might be grumpy but he was always nice to me and did laugh with me.
(A/N) Hello peeps!!
Imagine telling Derek the truth and have him go through losing his family again. I wouldn't be able to do it either. Madeline would've felt so bad telling him that she decided to lie. Hopefully, Derek didn't hear her heartbeat.
