Fred and Sophie had just entered the house again by the time Molly had started preparing their dinner. So as quietly as possible they snuck through the kitchen, as she had her back turned and into the living room. Sophie took her seat again next to Ginny who had moved from making chains to reading a book 'Gilderoy Lockhearts guide to household pests'.
"Reading that for?" Sophie asked peering over her shoulder. "What are garden gnome's?"
"Little gits out in our back garden." Scoffed George who had replaced Harry, playing wizards chess with Ron.
"Yeah they really are pests." Ron laughed.
"Fancy helping me get rid of them tomorrow." Ginny asked closing the book.
"Sure." Sophie nodded. "How hard can it be."
"Oh hard." Fred sniggered. "Good luck."
"They're here." Harry said bluntly walking down the stairs. "Just apparated right out side."
And he was right, because moments later two tall men entered through the front door, glued to each others side with huge grins of their faces.
"Hello." One of them beckoned. This one was the smallest, he had curly, long dark brown hair laying on his shoulders matched with a neatly done moustache. The other one didn't speak, just smiled as Molly came into view from towards the kitchen. He was taller then the other, he had short brown hair, with a hint of grey. Like Bill he had scars all over his face, not looking nearly as fresh as the Weasleys did, his eyes blue as the summer sky looked over to Sophie and nodded, she politely returned his greet.
"Dinner will be ready in 10 minutes." Molly said. "Till then, make your self at home."
"Sirius." Harry smiled wrapping his arms around his torso and hugging him deeply for a minute once they had released each other Harry looked over to his sister and nodded for her to come over. "This is-"
Harry started but Sirius cut him off. "Sophie." He smiled wrapping her into a bone crushing hug. "How's school?" He asked letting go.
"Great actually." She smiled.
"Remus can i have a word." Harry butted in completely ignoring Sophie staring at him.
Lupin just looked between the siblings confused at the tension going on. "Er." He hesitated. "I would love to Harry but i really need to talk to Arthur." He scratched the back of his neck before walking off rapidly into the kitchen where he greeted Bill and Arthur.
"What was that about." Sirius laughed.
"Nothing." Harry muttered.
"Is it so impossible for me to know something that you dont't?" Sophie asked with crossed arms. "Why can't you just let me talk to him."
"Because." He started but stopped himself quickly sneaking a glance at Sirius as if to say 'not here'. But they never got the chance to talk privately as Molly invited them all into the kitchen for dinner.
"So." Arthur clapped as they all took a seat at the table. Two extra seats had been placed on it's side. Arthur sat at the head while Bill sat beside George, who was next to Fred who had sat next to Sophie. Ginny, Harry, Ron and Molly sat facing them whilst Remus and Sirius sat at the opposite end. "What've you two been up too?" He said smiling up at the guests.
"Well i've been looking for work and." Remus started.
"Hiding." Sirius furrowed his brows. "Still."
"Surely they'll clear your name soon." Molly said sweetly.
"Yeah you'd think." Sirius growled. "Still think I'm working with those daft death eaters."
"The order are trying their best Padfoot." Remus whispered.
Sophie had no clue what they were talking about but it seemed pretty serious so she decided to stay out of it and just carry on eating, when she looked over to Harry he seemed to be curious too but kept his mouth shut.
"How's school been?" Sirius asked Harry after they had finished talking about some order and where Sirius had been living. Somewhere in London called Grimmauld place.
"Fine." He mumbled keeping his head down.
"Not much to talk about then." Sirius joked. "How about you Sophie?" He turned to look at her.
"Good, I've made good friends classes are going well." She smiled taking a sip of her water.
"How about the tournament?" Remus asked.
"She got passed a dragon." Ginny awed. "It was amazing."
"Yeah and if you weren't paying attention she almost died doing so." Fred scoffed retorting in Sophie smacking his arm. He was the only person she had told about her near death experience.
"You what." Harry looked up quickly. "Why didn't you tell me?"
"Here we go again with the not telling you stuff." Sophie rolled her eyes.
"Yeah Soph here we go." He said angrily. "How might you think i feel if you were seriously hurt in this task that i could've speared you if only i did it my self."
"Harry what's done is done." She snapped. "I didn't get hurt did i? I'm still in one piece so you don't need to worry."
"There's still two more task waiting though." He argued.
"And there bridges we will cross when we come to it." Sophie sighed. "For now, please stop making me feel bad about every single one of my decisions."
That shut him up. They had all quietly continued eating once the siblings had their little spat not trying to start it again. Sophie felt incredibly bad causing havoc in Molly's house, she didn't deserve that. Once everyone had finished at the table had been cleared Remus pulled Sophie before Harry could and asked to talk to her. She agreed and they headed upstairs into Ginny's room to talk in private.
"So i understand all the questions you must have." Remus said.
"Your my godfather." Sophie nodded. That, she knew. "How did you know my parents?" She asked.
"School." He smiled thinking back at all the memories. "I was quite close with James and Lily, as was Sirius." He explained. "Your mother had wrote to me when you were just a new born asking if i could take care of you and i agreed, she was trying to keep you out of trouble so without even asking i only assumed she had done the same with Harry." He sighed. "Obviously i was wrong."
"So why did i leave and Harry stay with them?" She asked. "Did they not want me?"
"No, no of course it wasn't that. I recon they knew Vol- The Dark Lord was after them and they were trying to protect you, Sirius was going through quite a bit which makes the reason Harry didn't go to him." Remus whispered. "After your parents died, i ended up going through serious conditions with my transformation." He gulped hard on a lump that had risen in his throat. "I'm a werewolf you see."
"Yeah." She nodded. "Harry told me, about when you taught them in their last year."
"I didn't mean to attack them obviously." He laughed. "However, when this happened i wanted to protect you, keep you out of harms way. So i took you to the only family i could find, your aunt."
"Rather you gave me to some orphanage." Sophie exaggerated.
"Yes, I've heard how horrible she is and i can't apologise enough for abandoning you." He looked quite sad at what he said, like he blames himself for her misery.
Sophie sensed this. "No Remus not at all." She said. "It's not your fault you did what you thought was right."
He smiled at the girl. "I'm glad you understand Sophie, still im sorry." He pleaded. "I promise i would have put you with Harry only when i tried asking Dumbledore where he had gone he wouldn't tell me. Said your better on your own and that you would meet again one day."
"Dumbledore split us?" Her face had dropped. "But why?"
"I have no idea." He sighed. "But Dumbledore always has his reasons and i trust him enough to stand by his decisions."
Sophie and Remus spoke for at least an hour alone, simply bonding. They talked about their personal lives a bit and about Sophie's school work and the tournament. She felt incredibly great full to have more family and she clicked with Remus quickly. They, within the space of a couple hours had already formed a great relationship, and she instantly looked up at his as a father figure. He was the closest thing to it after all. He was kind, and caring, he was genuine and loyal he already proved he wanted the best for Sophie and he swore to look after her as much as he could. She truly cherished their bond and hoped it only lasted forever. She would be lost without him or Harry.
"So." He clapped. "Are their any boys i should be worrying about?" He asked with a smirk.
"Nope." Sophie giggled only hoping her face hadn't broke out into an intense blush but Remus' facial expression told her differently.
"Are you sure." He raised an eyebrow.
"Positive." She mumbled.
"As long as you say so." He smiled standing up off the bed. "Come, i better be off soon and i would like to speak to Harry."
She nodded before standing up too. She wrapped her arms around his waist and hugged him deeply, a smile forged on her face. "Remus, will you tell him everything you've told me." She asked still hugging him. "We've been a bit off and i don't feel like telling him."
"I can but im afraid he will probably talk to you after." He replied. Noticing the girls quiet tone her decided not to press it further. "But i will anyway, and i'll ask him not to bombard you." He laughed and they made their way out of the bedroom and back down the stairs where everyone had crowded in the living room.
"Sophie quick come look." Ginny waved her over as both her and Remus stepped down the final step.
Sophie happily walked over to the girl who was surrounded by, the twins, Ron and Harry all with happy smiles on their faces. Ginny held out a piece of paper and she read the words carefully.
Hi everyone,
I have some good news! I will be arriving at the Burrow at the end of the week, for our final week of the holiday season.
I hope you've all enjoyed Christmas as much as I have and i can't wait to see you all again!
Best of love

"Great she'll be here soon." Sophie exhaled.
"I think Errol got a little lost on his way, she said end of the week and that's tomorrow." Ron laughed.
"So she'll be here tomorrow." Harry said before walking past Sophie and into the kitchen towards Remus.
"What is his problem?" George asked.
"He's the chosen one has to know everything." Sophie rolled her eyes taking a seat on an arm chair beside the fireplace.
"I don't think that's it Soph." Ginny sighed. "Sirius was the only family he had left before you, he just wants to be there for you."
"Well he's being a bit large for that isn't he." Fred added. "Couldn't he be more civil about it."
"Shut up Fred this isn't your concern." Ron huffed.
"He's taking his anger out on her and she's done nothing." Snarled Fred.
"Well that's not entirely true." Ron said looking over at the girl. "He said you got some sort of letter back at school and never told him what it was about." He shrugged. "Something to do with Remus."
"Yeah that happened but he told me if I didn't want to I didn't have to tell him." She sighed. "So I didn't and now Remus has finally told me the whole story I don't see the problem with him knowing anymore."
"Is it a good or bad thing?" Ginny asked.
"Remus is my Godfather."
