The Yule ball had come and gone, the night was great. Students had fun and so did most of the teachers. Now however everyone had parted for the holidays and were returning home until new year, most of everyone anyway. Sophie and Harry had agreed to spend Christmas with the Weasleys, which ended up being the best option for when they return to Hogwarts. Hermione had said she was spending the remainder of Christmas with her family and would be at the Burrow before new year to go back to school.
"See you later Mione." Sophie hugged the girl before she fled off to her parents.
Harry had told Sophie they would meet Mr and Mrs Weasley at the station so when her, Harry and Ron left the train they stood in an open spot looking out for the familiar family. "So, are you going to tell me why you wanna see Remus so much?" Harry asked out of the blue.
Luckily for Sophie they were interrupted by the twins hurdling their trunks towards them, mumbling to themselves. "Hey." George beckoned.
Sophie looked at Fred for a minute, a small blush playing with her cheeks when she saw he was looking back. He smiled at the girl before joining his twin in greeting everyone after the long train ride. "Mum said to meet her outside." He said. "Where's Ginny?"
"Here." The girl sang jumping onto Sophie's back. Sophie just giggled to the girl before running off out of the station, the others following slowly behind.
"Nice to see you two get along." A new tall ginger said, he had long hair just sitting above his shoulders and a couple scars on his face. He was smiling at Ginny and Sophie as they ran out of the station giggling to each other. "Bill Weasley."
He held his hand out to the girl but before Sophie could even shake his hand Ginny had jumped in front of her wrapping him in a hug. "Bill." She sang squeezing her brother.
"Missed you to Ginny." He laughed setting the girl down. "Nice to meet you." He paused for a minute.
"Sophie." She smiled holding a hand out that he gladly shook.
"Ah William." Ron laughed as they surrounded the car.
"Bill!" Fred and George yelled wrapping their older brother in a bone crushing hug. "How's Egypt?"
"Questions later." Arthur boomed getting in the still, bumped up, blue car. "Everyone in."
Surprisingly everyone fit in the small car, Molly had mentioned a spell Arthur had used giving it more space inside, just like his tent from the world cup. Sophie was squashed in the back between the twins, Ginny sat beside Harry and Ron beside Bill while Molly and Arthur were up in the front. Before Sophie knew it they were above the clouds and she stared in amazement out the window leaning over Fred's lap.
"Comfy." George laughed.
Sophie looked from the window to George, squinting her eyes. "Shush im only looking out the window."
"Yeah." Fred laughed looking down at her.
"Ohmygod." Sophie huffed sitting back up right. "Fine i wont move."
"Wasn't saying that." Fred laughed lying her back in his lap. "See better." He grinned.

It was around 11 when they arrived at the Burrow. The sky was cold and dark but filled with an amazing amount of stars. From the car to the house Sophie hung her head up staring at the view above her. She always thought the stars were remarkable, she could stare up at them for hours. Only was she snapped from her gaze when Ron bumped her shoulder by accident as he entered the house.
"Now." Molly cooed once they were all inside. "Bill will be in his room upstairs, Fred and George obviously in yours, Ginny you can share with Sophie and Harry your with Ron as per usual."
"I need to talk to you." Ginny glanced between Sophie and Fred with a smile before dragging her up stairs.
"Night!" Sophie shouted.
"So." Ginny clapped sitting on her bed whilst Sophie sat on the spare one. "I know you told me you liked my brother but i didn't expect you to snog his face off." She laughed.
"You saw that." Sophie whispered as her face flushed crimson.
"Everybody did." She shrugged.
"And i didn't snog his face off." Sophie defended.
"Sure." Ginny rolled her eyes. "So what's going on between you two?"
"I don't know." Sophie mumbled. She didn't, yeah he told her he liked her and she told him but they never really said anything else. "We haven't spoken about it."
Ginny just smiled, she had clearly realised she wasn't going to get anything out of Sophie, heck Sophie didn't even know herself what there was to tell. So cutting the awkward silence Sophie headed to the bathroom to change in her night clothes. She wore grey sweatpants and a black jumper and tied her hair up into a ponytail before telling Ginny she was heading to the kitchen for a drink.
When she did manage her way quietly down the stairs and into the kitchen she had realised how late it was, just gone midnight and everyone had headed to bed. Curiosity got the best of the girl as she left through the back door to star gaze. Lowering herself into the long grass she lay there for a while staring up at the sky. She looked up at the two brightest stars she could see and the people she missed most instantly gathered space in her head.
"Hey." She whispered. "I miss you guys." She was talking slowly up at the sky. "Im doing my best for you two, and Harry. I hope your proud of me." Sophie stared at the stars a little more, watching them glisten brightly as if her parents had gotten her message.
"What you doing out here?" Fred asked, closing up next to the girl and taking a seat in the grass. "It's late." He whispered.
"Sorry." She said sitting up straight. "I was just watching the stars."
"Your cute." He giggled wrapping an arm around her and pulling her closer. She fit perfectly beside him, he was quite tall and she was definitely the opposite. Her and Harry were quite small, not the smallest of course but not as tall as Ron and Hermione.
"Fred." Sophie whispered keeping her eyes on the sky. "About what you said yesterday."
"I meant it Soph." He soothed. "Every word."
"I meant it too." She said as she snuggled closer to him. "Since when?" She asked.
"When what?" Said Fred.
"When did you know you liked me?" She giggled.
"Well." He thought for a minute. "You instantly grabbed my attention Soph, how could you not. But i think probably the morning after the world cup." He sighed. "Sitting there by your side all day watching you, motionlessly lying there. It scared me, i think it scared me so much it made me realise how happy i am around you, and then when i heard you were taking part in the tournament, i knew how dangerous that thing is."
"Fred, I'll be okay i promise." She smiled.
"You can't promise that." He replied bluntly.
"Fred." She said now facing the boy. "I promise."
They sat there for a while just indulging in each others company. His arm wrapped around her whilst she played with his hand, both of them staring up at the magnificent view. He placed a kiss of her forehead before standing up holding his hand out for her to follow.
She took it gladly, a smile crept it's way onto her face as they walked through the grass and back into the house. "Night Sophie." He whispered as they stood outside of Ginny's room. He held her chin before tilting it upwards so she was facing him and placed a small peck on her lips.
"Night Fred." She whispered back as he made his way up the stairs and into his bedroom.
There was that feeling again, the feeling deep down in her stomach, or warmth and love as she watched Fred retreat slowly she smiled to herself before entering the room again. Ginny was asleep already so Sophie quietly made her way into her bed.
She tossed and turned for what felt like hours, not being able to sleep. How could she? The image of her and Fred cuddling in the long grass replayed itself over and over again in her mind and she couldn't help the happy feeling she kept getting. She lifted up slowly and grabbed the photo book from her bag, sitting back down in the bed leaning against the wall she looked through all the pictures, adoring all the ones of her and Fred.
She found the one from that weekend when he had took her over the lake on his broom and when she took a closer look she saw that Fred had been looking back at her with the hugest grin she had seen yet. And then she closed her eyes thinking of the moment and she relieved it for a while, and that's when she knew. That's the moment she knew she liked him, one of the best days of her life.
'What's going to happen from here?' She thought to herself before closing the book and lying back down. She stared at the ceiling for a while thinking of what was going to come between the two of them until her eyes finally took control and drooped closed and she drifted off into a deep sleep, thinking about Fred Weasley.
Sorry it's small guys it's just a filler. Ooh i wonder whats going to happen between the two of them, a happy ending? Or a sad one? Guess you'll just have to wait and see.
