Yeji reluctantly got up from the comfort of her sofa, shaking the drowsiness away, before slightly limping her way to the door, peeking through the tiny little peephole to see who it was.

It was Jisu, standing outside holding a small grocery bag in her right hand, waiting expectantly for the silver haired girl to open the door for her, which after a few seconds of hesitation, Yeji eventually did.

"Hey," Jisu said calmly. "Had dinner yet?"

Yeji shook her head coldly in response.

It slightly irritated Yeji, to say the least, how Jisu appeared to be so calm in front of her, as if she had done nothing wrong.

And being the person who knew Yeji most inside and out, Jisu immediately sensed that Yeji was without a doubt being standoff-ish to her, like she was giving her the cold shoulder.

But Jisu, being the stubborn girl that she was, wasn't going to let this deter her from making sure the silver haired girl ate dinner. She knew Yeji would most likely skip her meal, but she wasn't about to let that happen, not after how tired the older girl appeared to be in today's game.

"Well, aren't you going to let me in?" Jisu asked, raising one eyebrow of hers.

"I ... I'd rather be alone right now, Jisu, so if you could-"

Before Yeji could finish her sentence, Jisu swiftly ducked down underneath Yeji's arm that was holding the door, inviting herself in before Yeji got the chance to ask her to leave.

"H-hey!" Yeji stuttered out, not expecting the shorter girl to do that.

"I'll leave you alone after I make sure you eat," Jisu said sternly, making her way to the kitchen and pulling out two packs of ramyun along with a can of spam from the bag she was holding, placing them on the kitchen counter. "Do you have eggs in the fridge?"

Yeji still wasn't entirely sure what the hell was going on. Could this be considered breaking and entering? She thought to herself.

"Uh ... y-yeah, there's a few in the fridge," Yeji answered in a daze, almost forgetting that just a few seconds ago, she was trying to be upset with the younger girl.

But unfortunately for her, that's never really worked for very long, and Jisu knew this all too well.

Yeji plopped herself back onto the sofa, and while it was only a short distance away from the door, it was enough for Jisu to notice that the older girl had limped her way there, which made Jisu stop whatever she was about to do and head over to where Yeji sat.

Though the younger girl seemed calm and collected on the surface, Yeji was able to immediately discern the worry and concern etched in Jisu's round eyes, and while she wanted to maintain a cold and uncaring attitude towards the girl, Yeji couldn't help but have her heart soften at the sight of Jisu worrying about her, the irritation she had felt earlier deflating almost immediately like a balloon.

The way the shorter girl's eyebrows slightly frowned while her lips pursed ever so slightly. It was adorable to Yeji, making her heart skip a tiny beat.

This sensation wasn't new to Yeji, because admittedly, Jisu had always had that effect on her.

No matter how upset she was at the girl, Yeji just couldn't hold onto those negative feelings for very long.

Simply put, Choi Jisu was Hwang Yeji's weakness.

Her kryptonite.

"Give me your leg," Jisu said, as she sat on the sofa beside the silver haired girl.

"H-huh?" Yeji responded, the younger girl's words pulling her back into reality from almost being lost in Jisu's eyes.

Jisu let out a deep sigh before picking up the older girl's leg and gently and placing it over her thighs, slowly undoing the poorly wrapped cloth around Yeji's knee.

"You didn't do it properly, dumbass," Jisu muttered under her breath, though still purposely making it loud enough for Yeji to hear.

As the younger girl began to rewrap the cloth around the pack of ice and Yeji's knee, this time doing a much better job than Yeji did, the silver haired girl couldn't help but wonder...

...Why was Jisu still pretending to care about her so much?

"J-Jisu ... ... why are you doing this?" she carefully asked, her eyes studying the younger girl's expression.

"What do you mean?" Jisu answered.

"I- ... you can stop pretending to care, Jisu-ya ... it's fine..."

"Huh? What are you talking about?" the younger girl replied back with an innocent and puzzled look on her face, genuinely confused with what the silver haired girl was talking about.

"I-I saw you with Soobin ... during the game ... he was touching your cheek ..." Yeji said, a bitter tone in her voice, not spiteful, not angry, just bitter. And maybe with a sprinkle of jealousy.

But to Yeji's surprise, Jisu didn't react in any way she was expecting her to.

Because in front of her was the girl, snickering, as if Yeji had said something comical.

"Ahhh ... so this is what Chaeryeong was talking about," Jisu said, flashing an amused look towards the silver haired girl.

This time, it was Yeji who had a confused expression on her face.

"Well, tell me then. What did you see?" she asked the silver haired girl, breaking her eye contact with Yeji and resuming to carefully making sure the older girl's knee was properly tended to.

"I-I ... I just saw that you were with him, and that he was ... I don't know, but it looked like he was ... it just looked intimate okay!" Yeji snapped, frustrated that it seemed like Jisu wasn't taking her seriously.

The room fell silent for a moment with Yeji's voice echoing across the walls, and once it had gradually faded away, Jisu spoke up once more.

"You should really stop assuming things, Hwang Yeji-ssi," Jisu responded with a disapproving look, knocking hard on Yeji's head, as if to check if there was a brain in there, with enough strength that it caused the older girl's face to wince and grimace. "Did you see what happened after?"

"... N-No ... I didn't, bu-"

"I slapped his hand away, you idiot," Jisu quickly interrupted before the older girl could argue back, which made Yeji completely quiet down.

Jisu let out another sigh.

"Chaeryeong did say it looked like you were looking around for me during the game," she continued. "I really hope you didn't lose the game just because you saw something that you completely misunderstood," Jisu finished her sentence by shooting a quick but sharp glare at the silver haired girl.

Yeji's eyes darted around, immediately trying to avoid Jisu's eye contact, which all but confirmed that indeed, Yeji did lose the game indirectly because of Jisu.

As if the knock on the older girl's head wasn't already enough, shorter girl flicked Yeji's forehead, the way she usually did when something annoyed or irritated her, though this time much harder than normal. Jisu was everything but happy to hear that they lost the game because of her.

"Ow!" Yeji exclaimed.

But before Yeji could rub the tiny spot that was quickly beginning to turn red in the middle of her forehead, Jisu raised both of her arms, gently cupping her small and soft hands on either side of Yeji's cheek and pulling the silver haired girl towards her while also simultaneously leaning in, before softly pressing her lips on the older girl's forehead, exactly on the spot where she had flicked just now.

It was an understatement to say that Yeji was dumbfounded.

This night felt like a never ending roller coaster ride for her.

Only a few minutes ago was she feeling down in the dumps, upset and troubled, and here she was just a few minutes later, her heart rate soaring as high as it could go, to the point that she was certain this wasn't healthy for her or her blood pressure.

But frankly, she loved it anyway.

The way Jisu's soft lips tenderly pressed onto the smooth skin of her forehead, leaving a moist sensation from the coat of lip gloss that glazed the younger girl's lips.

Yeji couldn't help but also notice how Jisu's lips felt a little cold to the touch, tingling her spine ever so slightly, but with the natural body warmth that emanated from her own forehead, it didn't take long for Jisu's lips to follow along and warm up as well, absorbing the heat from Yeji, much like the way Yeji was being absorbed by this moment she was in, not wanting it to end.

They stayed that way for a few seconds, before Jisu gradually pulled away, as their eyes met each other once more, both reflecting the single most complex yet definitively simple emotion known as love.

Their gazes were soft, sweet, delicate,  and almost fragile even, like they were connected by only a single thread of yarn, yet it was also the strongest thread in all of existence.

And that pretty much sums up the two's relationship.

It was on the surface, easily breakable, like a piece of glass that could be shattered at any time.

But no matter how many shattered glass pieces there were that was scattered around them, none of them were sharp enough to cut through the bond they had.

Because that was the kind of relationship the two had.

Unbreakable. No matter what.

"W-wha- ... what was that for?" Yeji asked with the softest voice she had, still stunned while her cat-like eyes gazed into Jisu's dark hazel coloured pupils that Yeji swore in that moment, were shining brighter than the moon in the night sky.

"I don't know what you saw," Jisu answered, her voice calm and collected, almost stern yet undeniably soft and tender, her two hands still cupping Yeji's face as if it was the most precious thing on earth while her two thumbs began to gently caress Yeji's soft cheek. "But whatever you think happened, or will happen, it won't, okay? And I want you to trust me when I say it won't. Because whatever you think I had with Soobin, none of it matters...

...None of it matters now that you're here."

And just like that, just with a few words accompanied by the girls ethereal voice, Jisu was able to lift away all the dread and burden Yeji had felt, as if she had just carried the weight of the world off of the silver haired girl's shoulders.

Whatever troubling thoughts Yeji had that clouded her mind was instantaneously blown away by the winds that were Jisu's tender words.

" ... ... C-can you do it again?" Yeji asked timidly, fidgeting her fingers nervously.

"Do what?"

Yeji shyly lifted her finger towards her forehead, pointing at the same spot Jisu had put her lips on, where there was a faint tint of the younger girl's light pink lip gloss, gesturing that she wanted another kiss, much like a child asking for a second piece of candy when they were only given one.

Yeji's childish antics caused Jisu to break into a chuckle.

"You'll get more next time, when you stop getting distracted, you idiot," Jisu playfully hit Yeji's knee, which the younger girl had finally finished wrapping.

The corner of Yeji's mouth was finally able to curl up into a subtle smile as she tried her best to contain the giddiness she was feeling without making it too obvious.

But of course, whatever Yeji did, whatever she thought she could hide from Jisu, it didn't change the fact that to Jisu, Yeji was like a book she had read over and over again, and with each new read, Jisu found herself loving the story more than the last, flipping each page as if it was a new adventure.

And this was easily reflected in the way Jisu's eyes were sparkling with admiration as she looked at Yeji fondly, loving the way the older girl's smile seemed to instantaneously brighten the room.

"Are you hungry?" Jisu asked with her signature crescent-like eyesmiles.

In response, a loud growling emanated from Yeji's stomach, much to the older girl's embarrassment, which made the girl's face fluster in a shade of red.

"Good," Jisu chuckled. "Cause I am too. I'll cook us ramyun?"
