This is Loki fan fiction and the timeline is a bit weird. [SPOILER AHEAD]
Since he died in Endgame I am going to write my version of what happened after he disappeared with the Tesseract in that alternate universe.

Loki

I became a prisoner once again but that was the least of my problems. I escaped one time from the avengers, I could have easily done it again. My main problem was Thanos. I must have had angered him with the disappointment taking over New York was. If we were to take the Tesseract back to Asgard he would eventually appear to take it and most likely kill me if he got the chance.

At the moment they were moving me back home. These imbeciles couldn't let me focus on my escape plan. Rich guy and Thor started arguing with some other mortals who should be the ones to take me as a prisoner and keep the stone. I didn't know I had such high demand.

Things started getting interesting when mister funny man fell to the ground due to chest pains. I completely lost my train of thought when out of the blue the case containing the tesseract slid by a mysterious force right next to my feet.

Seconds before I took initiative to open it an unknown agent grabbed the case before I could. I was watching my opportunity getting further and further away until luckily the green monster smashed through a door causing the agent to fall, the case to get burst open, and the tesseract slid once again to find its way back next to my feet. This time I did not hesitate and snatched it as fast as I could. I didn't even think of where I should teleport to.

Blue mist covered my body making me disappear, leaving a scene of pure chaos behind me. Galaxies flashed before my eyes similarly when traveling with the Bifrost. The only difference being the uncertainty if my landing would injure me.

The next thing I could recollect is me opening my eyes and sand getting into them. I felt lightheaded and squinted avoiding more to get in. Two light sources could be seen in the sky making me realize I was nowhere near Midgard. I slightly lifted my head trying to figure out where exactly I landed. I flinched to the sight of soldiers with golden armor standing a few meters away with their swords pointing at me. We were in the middle of the desert with sand as far as the eyes can see from all directions. Only a high tech jet was waiting behind them strangely resembling a Midgardian one.

Two of them came close and grabbed my arms aggressively lifting me to my feet. The chains that kept me hostage by the avengers were ruined probably from the Tesseract. Midgardian metals are to laugh at. That was the moment I realized that the stone was missing.

"no no NO" I started yelling, while I was investigating the ground behind me.

Soldiers got confused watching me dig through the sand and getting more and more aggressive by not finding what I was looking for. I went from tired and dizzy to furious in a matter of seconds.
The Tesseract was certainly not where I was standing. My jaw clenched and my eyebrows snapped together to the idea that they must have took it before I became conscious. With one quick move I pulled the knives I kept in my sleeves ready to fight them.

The soldier closest to me pointed a weird-looking machine towards my way. Thinking it probably was a weapon I decided he should be the first one to get killed. I didn't manage to take even one step. The machine made me dizzy once again making me collapse.

Next time I opened my eyes I was in the jet sitting on the floor with chains all over my body. I was placed in a dark corner most likely thrown there and the soldiers did not realize I had awakened. I had some time to observe them. Two were sitting at the front navigating the aircraft. Five of them were sitting on the floor supporting their backs to the walls of the jet and having an intense conversation. They had taken off their helmets and they were discussing with each other, paying no attention to me. The Tesseract was nowhere to be seen.

"Do you think we will be working that day?"

"The palace will be open to the general public. Do you think guards will take a day off?" He kept tossing a silver coin in the air and was striving to catch it without looking directly at it. The coin fell over and over, making a brassy noise every time it hit the jet's metallic surface. His peers were starting to get annoyed but tried to brush it off.

"We are not technically guards of the palace."

"It doesn't matter everyone will be working that day."

"Between us who do you think she will pick?"

Due to an air gap, the coin fell and slid towards my way, making all their heads unintentionally turn to where I was seated. I quickly pretended to be still unconscious since I had no desire to participate in meaningless chatter.

"She probably won't be picking but the king and queen for her."

"I hope it's our general. Imagine how much better we will get treated if he is king."

"We don't have to think only about us but we need someone that will keep the peace between us and Mistan."

Mistan? That name... I knew that name I had read about it. I was on planet Neria and it was one of the 9 realms. There were only two big kingdoms on this planet, Asterin and Mistan one placed to the North and one to the South. Both of them belong to Asgard but between them, there was a war for hundreds of years. I was about to talk to them to set me free but we landed.

"Come on get up." One of them said warningly.

I could have demanded them to set me free since I was Odin's son but what would have been the fun in that? I had a better plan.

I hopped out of the jet with a little bit of help because of the chains. We were in a big cave where they kept their planes. One poked me with his sword to compel me to start moving forward.

"You will regret that" I growled

When we got to the entrance and my eyes adjusted to the light outside I realized I had been here before as a child. In front of the cave, you could see the whole of Asterin and even outside the walls surrounding it. Inside there was a big lake circling the whole city, a bizarre view considering we were placed in the middle of nowhere. If you glanced up you would notice the golden palace at the top of the mountain. It was not as magnificent as Asgard's but it had its glory.

We entered a floating vehicle that was waiting for us outside. I sat between two guards and three sat across from me. The jet pilots remained in the cave. I observed that they were staring at me with a weird expression on their faces. Probably because I was being very cooperative and didn't try to escape, they had no idea of what was about to hit them.

Finally, we arrived at the palace. As we were walking up the stairs I remembered one time when Thor and I played here. We had so much fun when I pushed him down the stairs, or at least I did.

As I approached the throne room, I saw three thrones instead of one. The king, queen, and guessing the princess were waiting for me. Who's idea was to involve the queen and princess in the kingdom's problems? Women are very powerful creatures when they have a chance and will outstage the men.

Queens possess power over their kings. I could remember countless times when mother changed Odin's plans by planting ideas in his mind and making him think that he was the one that thought it. They are master manipulators since people often undermine their abilities due to their nature. I learned many tricks by observing my mother.

The king seemed rather ignorant with no kind of courage. As a prisoner and an intruder, I should have been the one fearing the almighty ruler in front of me but the roles seemed reversed making my assumptions true. Someone else was moving the strings.

When we were heading towards them I started to notice a man and a woman standing next to the steps leading to the thrones. The man had armor on with only the headpiece missing. His armor had more details than the rest of the soldiers so I immediately thought he must have been the army leader but the woman... The woman simply did not fit in the image. You could see she was not an Asterin. Everyone I had met so far had some shade of blonde hair with the darkest one so far having honey-colored and most of them had either brown or hazel eyes. They all could have been brothers or sisters of Thor (another reason why I didn't want to be in that place).

She on the other hand had long black wavy hair, blue eyes, and a pale complexion. Dressed in full black clothing with gold jewelry. Her stance was royalty worthy but the battle scar on her arm meant she might have been a warrior. I must have stared a bit too long for her likings since she squinted her eyes insinuating she was trying to understand why was I glaring at her.

I focused my attention on the King. I smirked knowing what was about to happen...
