"I would say Rose but wouldn't that be confusing if we all got together? It would be all confusing." Belle tapped the blue ink pen on the kitchen counter, her teeth later biting onto the end as she pondered the choices.

It has been an hour since Belle told off Alice, and in order to calm her down, I suggested coming up with baby names. We talked about it before, but we haven't quite settled on anything yet. With no names scribbled onto the light pink paper, we were conflicted by the various selections.

"How about a flower then?" Belle insisted that we come up with girl names first; she wanted a little girl which I wouldn't mind, but I'd rather have a boy to play sports with. "Like Violet."

"Violet would be perfect." Belle's eyes twinkled as she neatly wrote the name in cursive at the top on the list. "Violet Jane Hood."

"Jane?" The name caused my heart to pound hard against my chest, the reality of it crashing down at me.

I was going to have a baby.

Holy shit.

"Yeah, well, Rory and I have Disney names so why not? Belle from Beauty and the Beast, Aurora from Sleeping beauty, and Jane from Tarzan." Belle grinned, decorating the name with hearts.

"You want our daughter to be named after a girl who went with a man in the jungle?" I scoffed, chuckling as I thought of the scenario. Just imagining our daughter running off into the damn jungle over a boy. "I'm not gonna allow my daughter to date until she's twenty, better yet run off with a guy."

"Calum, you are nineteen." Belle rolled her eyes, placing a kiss on my hand as she intertwined our fingers.

"Shut up." I tickled her with kisses on her neck, poking her sides causing giggles to erupt from her mouth. I pulled her hair tie off, her jet-black hair falling down her back. "I don't regret my decisions though."

"I don't either." Belle pulled away with a gasp as she moved her pen to the boy names column. "What about Thomas?"

"My middle name?" I doubted that any child would like the name of a train. "What about Matthew?"

"I'm pretty sure Carter and Rory would love us to name our child over a football player." Belle chuckled, jotting down the name anyways. "Matthew Carter Hood?"

"Yeah why not?" I didn't mind that Carter's name would be his middle name; Carter probably would give the gift of being a good football player.

"I don't want our son to be a football player." That was the scary thing about Belle, it's like she could read my mind. With her arms wrapped around my arm, she warned me firmly.

"Why not?" Even though I didn't play football myself, the thought of my son playing football was pretty damn cool.

"He could die," Belle exaggerated, widening her eyes to prove her point. The sounds from the tv were heard from the other room, filling in the background noise.

"He can't die from that." I rolled my eyes, standing up to make us pancakes -yes I know it was in the middle of the night but fuck it.

"Carter almost got a concussion when he was a freshman. He had to sit out for a few months so that he wouldn't die." Belle propped up her head with the palms of her hands. Eyeing me as I purposefully flexed when I lifted the pan, she bit her lip.

"How'd that go for him?" His injury didn't seem to stop him, for he was still playing at such consistency.

"The kid would only talk to Rory because she never left his side. That's how they got so close." Belle shrugged, not refusing to pry her eyes off of my biceps. Teasingly, I pulled my arm up to show her my muscle, resulting in her blushing. "Sometimes I dreamt of the three of us moving out, becoming a family without two parents who act more like bosses to us."

"Why aren't you close to them though?" Belle's little brother lived with his aunt -I didn't really know the details but their parents wanted him to go to school in Seattle, so their brother came home occasionally- so they weren't really close, but Rory and Carter seemed to not even know much about Belle. Sure, Belle and Rory shared similar interests, but Rory only opened up to Carter and vice-versa.

"I'm the perfect child, remember?" Tears formed in Belle's dark eyes, her arms crossing as she hugged herself. "I didn't understand the pain they went through as the so-called disappointments. They think that I look at myself as higher than them."

"You know that's not true." Sure, Belle was the perfect child, but Carter and Rory would surely not discriminate based on that. After all, they were supportive of her no matter what.

"It is, Calum. That's also why they are so close. They encountered the same problems, and I admit, I am fucking jealous. I'd rather be a disappointment with siblings who will always take care of me than a success with no family to be proud." Belle's life seemed perfect to those not in it. When I first met Belle, I thought she really lived the life of the rich girl, her life planned out for her already.

But it was never like that.

"You can't change who you are, Belle." It hurt knowing that she was in pain, and I couldn't do anything about it. Sadness couldn't be cured by a few painkillers -no, sadness could only be cured when the person decides that they deserve to be happy. But some people don't make the right decision.

"But I can become a better person. I'll raise this baby with more love and care than anyone in my family ever had. When this baby is born," Belle sniffed, wiping the tears away from her face as she placed a hand over her stomach. "I'll be able to immediately tell when they are even the slightest bit sad. I'll love them so much that if they ever mess up, I'd just give them a look, and they'll realize what they've done. I want to be that type of mother."

"I know you'll be." Flipping my last pancake, I wrapped my arms around her, pulling her close to me. Our session was cut off by the loud bursting of the door. A bright blue haired boy and a brunette slammed the door shut, panting for breath.

"What the hell?" Belle jumped, widening her eyes at Michael and Rose. Rose leaned onto the door, her cheeks reddening due to her exhaustion.

"Police are after us," Michael croaked, stripping from his grey hoodie. Sweat trickled down his forehead, his face showing an unusual amount of fear, not for himself but for Rose.

"Why?" Belle rushed over to Rose, brushing her hair out of her bloody face. Rose had blood trickling down her forehead, her hair tangled up into a mess.

"D-Drugs-" Rose gasped before slamming onto the floor, her head bouncing at the harsh impact. Michael stood frozen, his eyes widening before he darted towards her, cradling her in his arms.

"Rose!" Michael gripped onto her arms and cupped her face in his hands. Rose was faintly breathing, indicating that she wasn't going through a drug overdose. Belle sharply instructed me to take Rose away from Michael and place her on his bed. As Belle rushed for the first aid kit and pills, she pulled out her textbook, scanning for the procedures that she had to perform.

"Michael, get her a cold towel and place it on her forehead. Calum, bring her a glass of water. Her lips are chapped and her face is pale so she is most likely going through dehydration."

After the brisk rushing of Belle's orders, we all hovered over Rose, anticipating her awakening. Michael squeezed on her hand, muttering apologies as his tears dampened her hand. He hadn't informed us about what had happened, he blocked us off as he aided Rose.

"What the hell happened?" I could tell by looking at Belle's face, she was about to snap anytime soon. Belle was quite overprotective of Rose, and she was hesitant in allowing Michael to see Rose again. The fact that Michael put Rose in harm yet again infuriated Belle, a bomb ticked inside her.

"I got into a fight with someone because they couldn't pay for the drugs and one of them was a cop. They don't know my real name but they know my face and they chased after us. I swear I told Rose to stay in the car, but she didn't listen." Michael wiped his sweaty palms into his jeans, not removing eye contact from his sleeping girlfriend.

"You're on the board?" This wasn't good, Michael wasn't safe anymore. Cracking a remorseful smirk, Michael scoffed.

"I'm a wanted man now, Calum."
