The chief was stopped by blade through the mouth

The blade exited his mouth and a woman with violet wearing a blue mask walked from behind the throne cleaning her sword

Najenda then left the room revealing bleeding corpses and masked figures exited the shadows and followed her to her horse

Najenda: he usually has 2 or more spies with him, they won't be a problem?
Y/n only nods expecting his orders knowing full well who's going be with him but still can't shake the feeling of him hesitating

Najenda used a surprise attack on then sussanoo sending wave flying
Night raid was facing the 3 targets
Najenda: well the sniper may have missed but at least we got rid of one of you, oddly enough that unfortunate fellow wasn't even on a hit list.
Everyone heard the sound of clapping
Azazel: staying to steps ahead, just like I taught you.
Y/n only stared at Azazel, Rin, and Kai as they stared right back at him
Najenda: Kurome, Kols, and Azazel you have been selected as Prime targets of the Jaegers, get ready to die.
Everyone stares down there targets weapons ready to be drawn and the first sign of movement

Kurome: I've been dying to see you again, how nice, if I kill you myself, then I could add you to Yatsufusa collection, now wouldn't that be just wonderful?
A black orb appears above the sword as corpses pulled themselves out of the ground

Kurome: I've gotten stronger since the last time we met, now I can control any corpse I choose, pretty neat right?

Akame climbed up the danger beast skeleton and attacked kurome but y/n focus was else whereas he himself took one Rin, Kai, and Azazel
Kai: no more sparring matches this time we play for keeps
Kai then attacked y/n with his sword in full rotation and went for a lunging attack only for y/n to redirect it into the wall the kai's blade started spinning once more and pushed y/n forward as rin lounged at him with Mr. Hissy going for a striking attack
Rin: Wow, you've improved a great deal, but so have we!
Mr. Hissy wrapped around y/n's leg and flung him into the side of the canyon, he was able to save himself but barley dodged an attack from Azazel as the 2 looked swords Azazel backhanded with his free hand sending
Azazel: now where is that focus that I was proud of, maybe you've gained something to lose. Let's change that, shall we?!
Azazel extended stinger in the direction of Tatsumi and Akame due to them being in the air there no hope dodging y/n redirected the blade into the ground as kai kicked him
Kai: come on I'm not even trying, don't tell me, you've gotten soft haven't you?
Y/n attacked kai again kai blocking
Kai: what happened to the y/n that killed our former master, maybe if I knocked you around a bit he'll come to his senses!
Kai kneed y/n in the stomach once on his knees y/n foot swept him and went stunning him once y/n got up he went for a stabbing attack only to be stopped by rin again this time dodging all but 2 y/n jumped backward but noticed his vision becoming blurry and distorted
Rin: you can feel it don't you?
Y/n: what, is this?
Rin: the neurotoxin of course, oh don't worry you were lucky not to strucking with enough to kill you, but this fight, has changed in our favor.
Azazel, Rin, Kai walked up to him as attacked blocking and dodged
Rin: impressive you still about to swing your sword.
Kai: but it's not enough.
The 2 continued but were called off by Azazel
Azazel: stand down.
Kai: but sir-
Before he could finish Azazel backhands Kai so hard his mask falls off as Rin rushed to his side Azazel walked forward as y/n reached Azazel kicks him away landing on his back
Azazel: this goodbye, send Nano my regards!
Before he could stab a bright flash not to far away rends them temporarily blind y/n using whatever strength he had left grab his sword and Rams it into Azazel chest
Azazel: ach!
Y/n use this opportunity to run to a safe distance from the explosion he made it to a forest where his legs wouldn't move and collapsed
Y/n: ( I'll need to stay for a while until the effects of the toxin subside I was lucky, any more strikes, and I would have been dead. )
As his vision fades to black a new question appeared in his head
Y/n: *weakly* why did I... hesitate?
He fell on conscious his grip still tight on his sword

Y/n woke in a dark forest surrounded by tree and flowers
????: my have you've grown.
Y/n looked to the voice but saw nothing

He looked up and saw a hooded figure surrounded by owls

???: I'm afraid I can't saw but that locket will reveal everything.

???: your you got to be kidding, that key isn't just a charm.
Suddenly the ground starts swallowing him only of the hooded figure to wave goodbye

Y/n woke up to the sound of rain as he was a bit groggy but it's been then early as got and made his way to the planning
Leone: he's awake!
Everyone turned to y/n how gave a curious look as everyone got up
Akame: you shouldn't be up right now.

Mine: Lubbock found you collapsed and brought you back to base.

Najenda: Bols was successfully eliminated, kurome escaped as well as Azazel.
Y/n looked around but saw one was missing

Y/n put one and two together and grief overtook him

Y/n: I'm gonna go get some fresh air.

Y/n was sitting under a tree watching the rain while in grief then as he sat there he took the key off the chain and placed it in the lock and turned as it opened it revealed gears that started turning
