"NO!" yelled Naruto.
"But Narut..." said Hiruzen before Naruto once again yelled no.
"NOT IN THE GOD DAMN WORLD! I am not going to play 'catch the Dora' again! That's not a mission!" yelled Naruto. A week had passed since Naruto had become genin, and the whole week they had done over 10 D-rank missions.
"Naruto! First of all, it's Tora, not Dora," said Hiruzen.
"Whatever," Naruto muttered.
"Naruto, it is necessary to explain you what missions are. Requests pour into the village every day..." rambled Hiruzen, and after a while, Naruto lost his interest.
"... So today will be miso ramen..." said Naruto to his teammates who paid no attention to Hiruzen.
"LISTEN!" yelled Hiruzen.
"Come on Jiji! I have done an A-rank mission and had a run-in with two S-rank Nukenins. I know an S-rank jutsu, along with many B-ranks and one or two A-ranks. Kakashi ni- sorry, Sensei is an ex-anbu, while Sasuke is at least as powerful as me if not more..." said Naruto before Sasuke interrupted him.
"Oye! Don't drag me in! I am in no way as powerful as you!" said Sasuke truthfully and angrily.
"As I was saying, as powerful as me and much more modest than me too. Sakura has such a nice chakra control. We are more than able to tackle a C-rank mission at least," said Naruto. When Hiruzen said nothing, Naruto continued to speak.
"You know how stealthy I am right?" asked Naruto.
"Naruto I am not doub-" said Hiruzen before Naruto interrupted him.
"I am not talking about that. Either give me a proper mission or increase the number of guards of your office because if I don't get a nice mission, I will burn all your and Kakashi Sensei's Icha Icha books," said Naruto, causing Hiruzen and Kakashi to turn pale.
"B-b-but w-what have I done?" asked Kakashi fearfully.
"Not supported me," said Naruto coldly. Meanwhile, Iruka, who handled the missions with Hokage, Sasuke, and Sakura were laughing their ass off.
"You know how well I can follow up my threats," said Naruto menacingly.
"YOU GET IT! Just stay away from my precious Icha Icha," yelled Hiruzen fearfully.
"Nice," said Naruto.
"I can't believe Naruto just threatened Hokage sama, and he did get threatened," said Sakura.
"Only Naruto can do such thing," said Iruka.
"Hn," said Sasuke.
"Back in the emo-mode, huh, Sasuke Kun?" asked Sakura with a sly grin. Sasuke's expression did not change, but his cheeks reddened.
"Anyways, I have got the perfect C-rank mission for you. You need to be a bodyguard of a person," said Hiruzen.
"Who is it? Is it the Fire lord, or a princess, or a rich merchant?" asked Sakura excitedly.
"No," said Hiruzen and Naruto at the same time.
"It can be a rich merchant, but not the fire lord or any princess as they would be considered a B-rank mission. But still, it's exciting to finally do a better mission," explained Naruto excitedly.
"Could you please come in?" asked Hiruzen. The door opened and an old drunk man entered with a bottle of beer in his hands, as an excited Naruto jumped up and down.
"What's this? I thought you would send more than a bunch of squirts with me. Especially the smallest one with idiotic face," said Tazuna as he came in. Naruto glared at him.
"These are just a bunch of kids playing ninja, and a pirate wannabe," he added. The next second, he felt the temperature drop a few degrees and sweat started forming as Naruto released his KI.
"Say whatever you want to say about me, but don't disrespect my comrades and my sensei," said Naruto.
"Y-y-yes!" he replied fearfully. The childish and excited kid from a second before was replaced by a cold and scary person.
"N-Naruto Kun, we don't generally scare our client," said Hiruzen nervously.
"Okay, Hokage Jiji. I was just showing that I am not just a... what did he say? Oh a 'person with an idiotic face', but I am a Konoha shinobi," said Naruto in the cheerful tone he was always in.
'What an... interesting kid,' thought Tazuna.
"Your mission is to accompany Tazuna the master bridge builder to the land of waves and protect him until he finishes his bridge.
Naruto's eyes widened as he heard 'land of waves' and 'bridge'.
"Did you say the land of waves? Where Gato's company is?" asked Naruto.
"Yes," said Hiruzen.
Naruto then eyed Tazuna, as Tazuna became nervous.
'Did he figure something out?' he thought.
"Awesome!" said Naruto, excited, causing Tazuna to sigh in relief.
"Okay. Everyone pack your stuff and meet me at the gate in an hour," said Kakashi.
"Sasuke, wait," said Naruto, as he followed him.
"What dobe?" asked Sasuke.
"Pack equipment you would for an A-rank mission," whispered Naruto.
"Why?" whispered back Sasuke.
"I will tell you on the way," said Naruto.
As Naruto was walking, Kurama and Amaya started asking questions.
"Are you sure this is the case?" asked Amaya.
"Yeah, I mean it does make sense, but why would he do such a thing?" asked Kurama.
"Well, I am 99% positive that this is the case. As for why he would do this, if my information is correct, then Gato has already sucked almost all the money out of the people. I bet he can't afford to pay more than this. And even though he is a dick, I can't let the people suffer, especially if my goal is peace," said Naruto.
"But he is one of the seven swordsmen of the mist. You need to be careful," said Kurama.
"Well, at his current level, he can easily take him on if he is careful enough. You worry unnecessarily about him Kurama," said Amaya.
"Plus I have you. As long as I have you, I cannot be defeated easily," said Naruto.

"Let's go," yelled Naruto at the gate.
"Yeah yeah," said Tazuna as he shook his head.
Naruto was walking a little ahead of others. Sasuke walked up to him.
"Why did you make me pack so much stuff?" asked Sasuke.
"Be on your toes. The land of the waves is controlled by Gato, and if my information is correct, he uses his business as a cover for his drug deals and smuggling. If this bridge is built completely, his rule will be over and thus, he will try to kill Tazuna. And if my information is correct, he is affiliated with... Zabuza, the demon of the mist," said Naruto, and Sasuke paled a little. He had heard enough about Zabuza to know that he was too deadly.
"But then why would he ask for a C-rank mission! This should be at least an A-rank one," said Sasuke.
"Aww, Sasuke, are you scared?" asked Naruto.
"I would be lying if I said this doesn't affect me. But yes, I am worried a little," said Sasuke.
"Well, listen. Gato has literally sucked the money out of the publ... someone is following us. Don't show that you know. Anyways, he can't afford a higher rank mission," said Naruto.
"Well," said Sasuke.
"Are you willing to do this?" asked Naruto.
"Of course! But we need backup," said Sasuke.
"I will reveal the information after I kill those who are following us," said Naruto.

It was around 4 pm. Naruto and the others were walking when Naruto, Sasuke and Kakashi saw a puddle.
'Strange, it hasn't rained in a week,' thought Kakashi. He looked at his students and saw that no one had noticed, but it was far from the truth. Both Naruto and Sasuke had noticed, and quickly made eye contact and deduced everything.
Sasuke deliberately stepped on the puddle, as he concentrated a lot of his lightning chakra toward his foot, instantly shocking the two ninjas. He then jumped near Tazuna as Naruto threw 2 Kunais. The brothers threw a peculiar chain at Naruto and Sasuke, but missed due to the paralysing effect of Sasuke's electricity and also due to being hit on the shoulders by Naruto's Kunai. Nevertheless, the chains scratched Naruto's hands. Sasuke quickly attacked them with a shuriken which pinned their chains, and then he threw a Kunai through the hole of the shuriken. Naruto then ran and kicked them in the face, and Kakashi used kunais tied with rope to pin them on the tree where their chains were pinned.
Everyone stared at Naruto for a moment, because he had been hit. Naruto didn't say anything as he brought his hands up and stabbed it with Kunai. Blood sprayed out of it along with some purple liquid.
"NARUTO! Why did you do this?" asked Sakura, shocked.
"Poison. You saw the purple liquid. Even though Kurama can remove it, it would do some damage before it," said Naruto. He then turned to the demon brothers.
"Gozu and Meizu, the demon brothers of the mist. I was waiting for you to show up. So you are working for Gato after all. It looks like my theory was correct about the mission. And yeah. Don't think I messed my aim up. I could easily kill you, but then, where's the fun in that," said Naruto with a sadistic grin. Both the ninjas were shit scared by now.
For a moment, Naruto just looked at them. He then started laughing.
"GOT YA! Did you really think I was going to torture and then kill you?" asked Naruto, still laughing.
"With all seriousness though, I am going to seal you in a stasis scroll and send you to Hokage with a message about how our client lied to us..." said Naruto as he glared at Tazuna, who hung his head down in shame.
He then proceeded to knock them out, pulled out a stasis scroll, and sealed them in it.
"So, what is your explanation," asked Kakashi with a serious look on his face.
"Let me speak Kakashi sensei," said Naruto.
"So Gato is like the head gangster of the land of the waves. In the guise of a shipping company, he runs illegal drugs and smuggling business. He has Zabuza the demon of the mist working under him, who, according to the bingo book is an S-rank nukenin. Now under normal circumstances, this would be an A-rank mission. But Gato has sucked all the money from the people, so I guess he couldn't afford to pay more," said Naruto.
"How do you know that much!" asked Kakashi.
"I will explain in a moment. Sakura, do you want to continue this mission?" asked Naruto.
"It is too much, but he is really desperate. I don't know," said Sakura.
"If you don't, you go to Konoha with this scroll. I and Sasuke will continue from here," said Naruto.
"Then I will too," said Sakura with determination.
"That isn't your decision to make!" said Kakashi angrily.
"Nii san! He cannot afford more money. I knew about this from the start and had told Sasuke too. I don't know about you, but I don't want to live with the regret that I couldn't save many innocent lives because I was too scared of Zabuza, or I was too picky about the mission," said Naruto with fire in his eyes. Kakashi could almost see a shadow of Minato behind him.
"But what about the equipment?" asked Kakashi.
"I got over 100 Kunai, 100 shurikens, 10 smoke bombs, 10 paper tags, and a demon wind shuriken," said Sasuke, as Kakashi widened his eyes.
Naruto took out 4 scrolls from his bags and tossed 2 each to Sakura and Kakashi.
"1 scroll has 80 shurikens and kunais, and one has 10 smoke bombs and paper tags," said Naruto.
Both Sakura and Kakashi widened their eyes.
"Y... you came so prepared! You must be really determined to do this," said Kakashi.
"I am. I have a few sealing tags, 5 smoke bombs, 100 shurikens and kunais, and... Amaya," said Naruto as he looked at the sword with all the love and admiration he could.
"Naruto, I know it's your mom's sword, but stop looking at it like that," said Sakura.
"It's a sentient sword with a part of my mom's chakra. She is a voice in the back of my head, so don't judge," said Naruto. Over the years, both he and Kurama had grown attached to Amaya. To Naruto, it felt like she was his mother and to Kurama, it felt as if he had a sibling, which was weird, considering he was a fox.
"Naruto, this mission is still dangerous," said Kakashi.
"We need a sensor and a genjutsu expert. I and Sasuke will defend Tazuna and you will be on offence. We will set our camp here, as we send the message to Jiji. We will wait for the reinforcements to arrive," said Naruto.
"Uh... okay, I give in," said Kakashi.
"You didn't have an option," said Naruto as he bit his thumb.
"Summoning jutsu: messenger fox Ryder," he said as a small red fox appeared.
"Naruto sama. Thanks for summoning me. I won't disappoint. What are my orders?" asked Ryder.
"First order, drop the sama," said Naruto causing everyone to sweat-drop, as Naruto wrote something on the scroll.
"But you are our master," said Ryder innocently.
"No. I am your summoner, and even more important, I am your friend. Second-order... no, not order, a request; please deliver this scroll and this message to Hokage Jiji," said Naruto.
"hai! Thank you for trusting me Naruto nii-san, I won't disappoint," said Ryder
"Nii san! That's nice," said Naruto.
"I will go deliver this message, even if it costs me my life," said Ryder.
"Oye! Don't go that far, no need to die," said Naruto, as Ryder disappeared.
"Typical Naruto, making friends with everyone he sees," said Sasuke as he shook his head.
"Anyways, let's set the camp here," said Naruto as he climbed up a tree, then stood upside down on a branch, took off his one foot and set it on the other. He then closed his eyes as he meditated.
"Naruto, what are you doing?" asked Kakashi.
"Well, Kurama and Amaya make me do this every day," said Naruto.
Tazuna just watched him. He felt grateful. He had never seen such a shinobi. Naruto was talkative and funny, but when needed, he was quick-witted, sharp, and extremely strong. He stood up for the weak and did what he did because he wanted to help, and not for money.
"Thank you Kakashi san," said Tazuna.
"You have Naruto to thank. He takes his dream dead seriously," said Kakashi with an eye smile.
"What dreams?" asked Tazuna.
"Well, he dreams of becoming Hokage and achieving peace. He wants to remove all hatred from this world," said Kakashi.
"B-b-but he is just a kid!" said a surprised Tazuna.
"A kid who has been through hell," said Kakashi.
