TATLONG araw na ang lumipas mula ng maospital si Hayder pero hindi parin nagkakamalay ang binata. Inilipat kaagad siya sa Makati Medical Center pagkatapos mabigyan ng pangunang lunas mula sa hospital sa Batangas dahil kritikal na ang kalagayan nito. Na crimate na rin ang mga labi ng Ama ni Natan. Tradisyon na iyon sa kanilang pamilya. Iyon ang kanyang inasikaso pagkagaling sa ospital. Nginangat-ngat narin siya ng konsensiya. Sa mga panahong wala siya sa tabi ng kaibigan ngayon lang niya naisip kung gaano kalaki ang kasalanan niya sa kababata. Di niya mapigilang di tumulo ang luha habang pinagmamasdan ang natutulog na si Hayder.

Naalala pa niya ang sinabi ng doctor nito kanina.siya ang nakausap nito dahil wala sa sariling katinuan si Irish. Iyak ng iyak ang dalaga. Pati ang mommy nito tulala din sa kalagayan ng pinakamamahal na anak.

"Dr. Anderson what's really happening to him that until now he can't gain his consciousness?, please I need to know it." Sunod-sunod niyang tanong sa doctor ng mga Montenegro.

"Well he's been ill for years, after he suffered from a long term depression he was diagnosed with heart failure associated with coronary heart disease... "wha-what does it mean?" Putol niya sa sasabihin ng doctor.

"A coronary heart disease (CHD) is a condition when the heart's blood supply is blocked or interrupted by a build-up of fatty substances in the coronary arteries. Over time, the walls of your arteries can become furred up with fatty deposits. This process is known as atherosclerosis and the fatty deposits called atheroma. If your coronary arteries become narrow due to a build-up of atheroma, the blood supply to your heart will be restricted. This can cause angina (chest pains)." Mahabang paliwanag ng Doctor. "His coronary arteries become completely blocked, that's why he got myocardial infarction or we call it in layman's term heart attack." He added.

Nanlumo ang binata sa nalaman.

"But why he's not gaining his consciousness doctor? Its been three days since he got that heart attack?"

"That usually happens for patient suffered MI but... I am telling you this Mr. Fabcobella, his heart was completely damaged and soon it could no longer function. We've done all possible test and even reviewed his History of illness. We found out another link to his heart failure, he had undergone coronary artery bypass surgery in United state when he was in his younger age and ordered him to minimized factors that could worsen his illness. Unfortunately he suffered major depression and lately he had multiple alcohol consumption due to stress and emotional disturbances which really brought much impact to his heart. Last year we told his family he's been a candidate for heart transplant, but until now they couldn't find a good match and healthy heart for him or maybe he hadn't took it seriously."

"Oh god!" Sinaklot ng takot ang kanyang dibdib. Wala siyang idea na matagal na palang may pinagdadaanan ang kanyang kaibigan. Napakawalang kwenta niyang kaibigan.

"What do you mean by that doctor?

"We need to find a donor as soon as possible, otherwise he'll not going to wake up... No! That's not true!" Putol niyang sigaw sa manggagamot.

"Yes Mr. Fancobella, he really need to undergo heart transplantation in order for him to survive. For now the least thing we could do is a temporary operation and medication to lessen blockage on his coronary arteries." Pagtatapos ng doctor. Naiwan siyang nakakatunganga. Paano niya sasabihn sa ina ng binata at sa kapatid nito ang lahat. Magkahalong awa at pagsisisi ang nararamdaman niya sa mga sandaling iyon para sa kanyang kaibigan. Dahil sa pagiging makasarili pinutol niya ang anumang komunikasyon niya kay Hayder. "I'm sorry for everything dude." Naluluha niyang kausap sa binatang natutulog.
