"Is that so?"

I tried figuring out who the voice could possibly be. It wasn't tewkesbury. Tewkesbury's voice sounds more mature than this voice. I turn around slowly to find a tall figure standing. I look up. It's George.

"George? What makes you appear?" I questioned nervously, standing up from the tall grass. "I came by to say hello to my future wife" he crossed his arms, looking over behind to the three girls. "And who are these?" He asks.

I turn around to see the three girls who were staring, eyes widened. I look back at George. "My friends" I said with no emotion. There was a long pause between us. All I could hear was whispering coming from the girls behind me.

"Who's Tewkesbury?" He breaks the silence. I look up at him, acting confused. "Hm?" I hummed. He scoffed as he looked away for a second before looking back at me, with a glare. "I don't have to repeat myself! You heard me" he raised his voice a little bit higher. My fingers started shaking. George can't know who Tewkesbury is, he'll do anything he wants to hurt him.

"I-I don't know what y-you're talking, George" I stuttered nervously, looking down at my feet. I've never been so good at lying. That's always been Ruth's special talent.

"Don't be silly Aurora!! I heard everything!" He raised his voice higher this time, causing me to gasp as I flinch. I can already tell the girls want to leave. So do I. "Like I said George. I don't know what you're talking about!" I said right after, trying to raise my voice just like he did. It left him glare at me even more.

He looked much more angry than he's ever been. In fact, he was so angry that he had the guts to slap me in the face. I heard gasps coming from behind me. I rub my cheek softly, just like what tewkesbury does whenever we're saying our goodbyes. I tried holding in my tears as I felt the girls rush up to me with worry.

"I'm going to find this tewkesbury. And you're no longer going to see him!" George said before he rushed off.

I can't be with him. Not for the rest of my life. Not ever. What could my mother possibly see in him.

"Rory! Oh my gosh! Are you okay?" Vivi said, as she patted my back. "Of course she's not okay Vivi, didn't you just see she got slapped in the face?!" Ruth said as she massaged my head.

"Guys leave her, come Rory. Let's get you inside" Mildred pulled me away from the two and we all walked inside. "Oh poor you, I can't imagine having to marry that" Mildred said as she looked at my red cheek. I sniffled my nose. "Yeah...but I have no choice" I mumbled as we walked back inside.
