Inner Demon 悪魔 [Shoto Todoroki x reader]

Chapter 1 - Exam

"Get out, and NEVER come back!"
"I don't know what to do with her, she's a monster. This isn't my daughter." 
"Get away from me."
"Monster."

You wake up sitting straight up, wide-eyed with sweat drooping down the side of your cheek, your heart beating fast, as you hyperventilated a bit. You took a deep breath and let out a big sigh

'Just another nightmare' you thought, putting a reassured smile on.
You get up, brush your teeth and look at your calendar to see a big "EXAM" written in red and circled on today's date.

You froze a little, still brushing your teeth, when you suddenly realized it.
"ENTRANCE EXAM!!??" you yelled, running to the bathroom, washing your mouth and face, getting ready, bandaging your eyes, and rushing through the door with a piece of bread in your mouth.
'How could i forget this day'  you sighed, laughing a little at yourself.

Here you were. The entrance of UA High School, for the exam. Your bandage covering your eyes was really thin, so you could see quite clearly. Others though, couldn't even get a glimpse at your (e/c) eyes.

You start walking towards the place in which they were announcing the exam. You were walking behind a green haired boy, who then tripped and surprisingly didn't fall, you walked past him and looked over your shoulder to see a girl who had made him... levitate? You continued walking and following the crowd assuming they were entering the entrance exam as well.

You were now seated in a big room, you didn't know anyone there. Back in middle school, you didn't have any friends, people thought you were weird or shady or creepy with those bandages covering your eyes. You really didn't care though, and would just shrug it off.

Although sometimes you did wish you had a friend, or just someone to talk to. It must feel nice, but seeing others happy would sometimes warm up your heart. Even if it wasn't ever thanks to you, just seeing others happy... made you happy. 

Your thoughts were cut off as Present Mic started announcing how the exam will play out. A navy blue haired boy jumped off his seat in front of you. He was just speaking of how unprofessional it was of U.A to have messed up on the robot count. Present mic asked him to sit down and explained why he didn't mention a robot.

You were now in the bus. In front of you was that green haired boy from earlier, behind you was that stuck up nerd with the navy blue hair.

As the bus came to its stop, you all exited it and you were now all standing in front of a wall, or a big gate? You saw the little green boy being teased by the navy blue nerd. As the gates opened, the exam commenced.

You never used your quirk in public, never. You always made sure you were the only one to witness it, only because it would keep the suspense going. And anyways, wouldn't it be badass if you got the best score out of everyone, leaving the others jaws on the floor as they wondered how in hell you got such a good score? 

Making up little scenarios like that in your head always boosted your confidence, it gave you a warm feeling of happiness and excitement as well. 

 You started walking down the alley, hands in your sweatpants pocket, as everyone else was running past you. You were pretty smart when it came to tactics or strategizing. In fact you knew that if everyone ran in first, they would miss all the ones at the entrance.

You stopped walking and everyone was now far away from you. You, still being just a few miles away from the now closed gate behind you. You smirked. 'Alright'  you thought to yourself.

You concentrated and  closed your eyes, you could hear two robots coming from each of your sides. When they were finally both in your sight, you activated your quirk, and in a split second, they were both down.

"HELL YEAH!" you yelled out, pumped with excitement. 'Alright that's 5 points, let's go for more harder ones' 

You continued walking, got a few points along the way, you were now at 43. 'Let's go see the others'. You were now walking towards the huge commotion as people started running past you. 

'Why are they all running?' your curiosity took over, and once you were at the scene you saw that little green haired boy jump into the sky at a great speed.

"WOAH" you yelled out, wind dashing through your hair from the little guy's speed, as he hit the robot with incredible strength. "That. is. SO BADASS" you screamed, having people look at your weirdly, 'oops too loud'

The green haired boy was now falling down, once he reached the floor, that same girl from earlier smacked him across the face, which ended up with him levitating once again. 

You sighed in relief, until you saw the robots arms slowly starting to fall in the girl and green haired boy's direction. Your quirk activated on its own, and before anyone knew it, you were back to where you were standing but with the levitation girl and the green haired boy, whose body was bruised from head to toe. 

Everyone's eyes were wide and their jaws dropped to the floor. You laid down the green boy and put the levitation girl against a rock, having her sit up as she threw up on the side.
"That was SO COOL what you both did out there" you looked at her in awe, as she threw up again. "Oops, sorry i'll leave you alone" you gave her a closed eye smile. You turned back to see everyones eyes still wide and jaws still slightly open, especially the navy blue haired guy.

You gave a confused look "what?-" then you realized you had just used your own quirk in front of almost everyone. Your eyes widened. "AW MAN!" you got down hugging your knees "I wasn't supposed to show it. ugh!" you said as you laid on your back, in a starfish position.

After the exam an old lady asked for you to come to the nurses office to make sure you weren't hurt.  You were all good, not a single scratch on you.
You got home with a big smile on your face and went to bed.

This time, you didn't have a single nightmare, in fact, you dreamt of the exam and how excited you were to find out your score, making up fake scenarios that once you'd enter your classroom, some students who saw you use your quirk would be swarming you with questions left and right, as you would blush a little from all the attention. You fell asleep, smiling, as you dreamt that exact same scenario, which gave you a warm feeling in your chest.

Alright so my original plan was to release this fanfic once it was completely finished. I thought a lot about it and decided to start uploading it now, as I currently have 21 chapters written. They will all be uploaded once a week which will also give me more time to make more chapters. I am not expecting this fanfic to blow up as its also my very first one. \

I have been also a little demotivated to continue the fanfic but if I see that people are actually enjoying it then I'll gladly continue it :)
