Hey, my names Nicole. I love Basketball, the best sport ever. It's mainly then only sport I love, except for track. Anyways, it is my favorite sport and it is going to be the only thing I focus on this school year. My second year of high school. Well, tomorrow's the first day. I guess it's time for bed.
"Time for school," Mom yelled, "get up!"
A sudden pain grew inside my head as I heard the words flow out of my mom's mouth. I stuffed a pillow over my head to block out the noise. I heard the creek of my door opening and knew I might as well just get up and not argue.
As I was picking out my clothes, and UnderArmor long sleeve and basketball shorts, I was disrupted by my mom. I turned around and saw her holding up a 'cute' American Eagle shirt (cute to her not to me) and a pair of blue-jean shorts. I gave her a nasty look and she looked at me in disbelief.
"Nicole, why not?" Mom said.
"Because I don't like 'girly' clothes mom, you know that! I'm a tomboy" I argued.
"I think you need to start dressing more like a girl, honey." she continued, "This is your second year of high school, I thought you'd already grown out of it."
"Mom, I don't think I ever will. I'm dressing how I want today. Maybe someday I'll let you pick girly clothes for me, but not today."
