She lay in her bed with her head dug deep into her pillow.
"Sweetie, It's time for school" her mothers sweet voice floated as she strode in.
She dug her head deeper into her pillow, flushing out her mother's noise.
"Please, I don't want you to be late. Remember last time you were late? You know how angry your father gets.. you know what he does." Her mother was begging more for her own safety.
When father gets upset, he's upset. He punishes mother for it, so mother always tries to get her out of bed.
"Can you please just shut up and leave! I don't care if dad is angry at you! I don't care if he hurts you! Just get out of my face!!" Her shout was louder than anticipated.
The room was silent, before she knew it, the door was closed. "Mom..?"
She sped down the stairs with a beating heart, when she got downstairs, her mother was sitting at the table while staring at the wall.
Her eyes were glistening with fear.
"What did I just do..?"
