Chapter One – Diagon Alley

“You’re it!” squealed Fianna as she tapped Harry on his head. Harry grinned and made his way after the little girl. It was now almost two years since Fianna and her dad took him away from the Dursleys, but it seemed like he always lived here. The Lupin Cottage was now the home of the two Senior Marauders, Remus Lupin and Sirius Black, after the former had been freed from Azkaban thanks to Fianna, and of the two Junior Marauders, Harry Potter and Fianna Lupin. The two kids couldn’t wait to get their Hogwarts Letters. Each morning the two of them bugged Remus and Sirius with the same question – only asked or said in a different way – which annoyed the adults to no end – like,

“Is there any post for me?”

“Did the owl bring me something?”

“I can’t wait to get the letter!”

“Oh come on, you have to know when we’ll get it!”

“Is it morning yet?”

That one was obviously asked at night. It was a wonder that Sirius and Remus weren’t sent to St Mungo's yet. Nevertheless, the two kids changed their life like none of them expected. Sirius once complained to Remus, “They’re like devils! Even me and James weren’t crazy like these two are!” which was seconded by Moony.

When the letters finally arrived, Sirius and Remus exhaled in relief. Fianna grabbed the letter with her name on it and read it proudly to Harry, Sirius and Remus.

“Listen folk!” she started. Sirius snorted and she shot him a glare,

“Shut it Uncle Padfoot! I’m trying to read here, you know!”

Remus put a hand on Sirius’s mouth to quieten his laughter and Fianna threw the orange she saw on the table at them.

“Ow, what was that for!” Sirius exclaimed as the orange hit him on the head. When they calmed down, she read,

Dear Miss Lupin,

We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment.

Term begins on September 1. We await your owl by no later than July 31.

She smiled brightly at Harry who also read his letter. They exchanged looks and Sirius groaned,

“Remus, we’re busted. They have something in their minds!”

Remus laughed and asked the two antics,

“So, you want to go to Diagon Alley today, I guess.”

Harry and Fianna nodded gleefully and Sirius put his head in his hands. Remus patted him on the head and said,

“Come on, Padfoot, the quicker they get their stuff, the quicker we have our peace.”

Sirius moaned and sobbed pathetically,
