You saw a tear drip from Sakaki's eye. You sat there, frozen in shock. Why would he tell me all of this? You wondered. You thought it was strange that the one person he spilled his emotions to was you. You barely knew him!
When your mind went back to reality, you looked at Sakaki. There he was, with his usual blank expression again.
"I'm sorry, y/n," he said plainly. "I don't know what got into me. Please forgive me."
How could he go back to normal so fast?
"Um." You wanted to talk to him more, but you didn't know what to say. "It's ok."
Sakaki stood up and started to walk away, but then he stopped shortly before leaving the room. He turned back to look at you and smiled. "Thank you, y/n." You watched him walk away, his long cape flowing as he moved. You didn't know where he was going, but for some reason you hoped more than anything that he would come back to you.
