What everyone wants in this life is to find peace, to find where they belong, and above all, to find comfort. Comfort can be anything- a good book on a rainy day; a mug of hot chocolate made with love; a warm embrace from your friend or parent after you've had a horrible day at school.

For James, comfort is his firm place as one of the schools' elites and his ever-present popularity. For Betty, comfort is her sister, her intelligence and her wit. For August, comfort is her boyfriend, who had always been home to her. They are, and have always been comforted by this sense of belonging.

But as we all know, things change.

What else can you draw comfort from when everything you know and love is gone from the world? What tethers you to reality when all else fails? Are you strong enough to hold on to the invisible string that keeps you going, or will you succumb to the madness that lies within every single one of us?

Cast:

There's absolutely nothing wrong with imagining the characters however you wish to, but rest assured, I will be sharing my cast list for the main characters of this story. I'll be sharing one 'cast member' each chapter for the first five chapters, so stay tuned for my choices for the five main characters of this story.

Author's note:

This story was heavily inspired by Taylor Swift's eighth studio album, folklore. The love triangle between James, Betty and August were a point of interest for me, and I endeavored to write a story surrounding these three characters, and I hope you like it! This is my first time publishing a story on Wattpad, and I hope that it won't be the last, so, enjoy!
